I can see why they have been chosen .but also KD and Gillette could also have been in the group.

I think GP and RL have good relationship. GP resigned when RL was to be ousted and commented he thought RL was unfairly treated. I think GP is a great judge of a player and we will do well by taking heed of his recommendations
-
I dont know why, but I don't know much about their dealings.
-
Not for me. That person and Alpine are from the same stable and would never be surprised if they were 1 and the same person

Perhaps some are happy for others to lose money on a football club, but stay away and not pay into the pot themselves, but then feel free to criticise those that do. LC is likely to be the biggest victim and although I am very critical in his involvment I do find he has been the biggest fall(fool) guy in all of this. It is unfortunate but perhaps vanity got in the way of good financial sense.

Has anyone else factored in the fact that a major shareholder paid 60p+ for his stake and may not wish to take less than half back? It is always seen as RL as not willing to sell where surely LC would not be too keen to lose so much.I dont know if he is all systems go to do so but it would gall him to lose a million or so easily.

Doesn't the market decide a stocks value? OK the major players can hold off for a big price but there is no general trading of shares and so until there is a seller it is hard to assess what the value really is. If one of the bigger holders decided to cash in you may then see a drop in price because I doubt there is a fund manager who would wish to pay 30 p at present and so the offer would be much lower for a large stake.
-
That could be right.I suspect there would be many takers but we signed them on too high wages and others are not so foolish, especially at present market conditions. Ipswich were still after Rudi and JE is being courted by Sheff Utd.
-
The thing is they overspent to give themselves an advantage over their rivals who were prudent.Rightly so they deserve to be punished if they then cant pay back. We have done the same and are taking the medicine to try and get us back on track. I would have more sympathy with Luton who to me seem to have been crucified.
-
it was the wages bit. They like us last season took risks and didnt cut their cloth accordingly and so have to take the consequences.
-
They havent sorted your lot out and so why would we expect the top 4 to be looked at. Man u etc are such a draw they have all the power and the PL are frightened to upset them. Until fans like myself get the will to stop Sky subscriptions the big clubs will weild more and more power. In the 80's Iwas beating the drum to cut the big clubs adrift as they were flexing their muscles to go into a european league unless we gave in to them regarding the home gate receipts not being shared anymore. The league caved in and then they just got bigger and the gulf is widening every season.

He hasnt been mentioned on here since the changeover. Please do not do so again as he will only thinkhe has been missed and will pollute this board again. He thinks he has some sort of celebrity status on here.Let him be well in our past.

'Administration can often be attributed to the manager spending loads of money on crap players on high wages. Bournemouth haven't paid a transfer fee for a player for about 10 years' Steve it was that sentence that I was answering to.

Hey hold on Pompey are not whiter than white. You have a club that has had its computers confiscated and also involved in dodgy deals and so should also look at your own actions.
-
it said on the news he was in court today regarding the incident. That is probably why he has not gone on loan.
-
How can you say they have kept withing their means.Do you know what they are paying Anderton all this time? I promise you he isnt on a grand a week.
-
Yep IMO Bond knows too much and HR wants to keep him sweet. His loose tongue nearly got HR in the mire after the Panorama thing.
-
This deal summed up for me what is wrong with football.During the summer man u were complaining about Real Madrids actions and then do the same to spurs. Theyu even at the end got spurs to agree not to go forward with their complaint to the PL.
-
Are you hoping for some Mounties while you are over there Pes? Or are you past it
-
keep them coming as far as Im concerned. It is far better than having that other p#### coming on here .At least PES has a sense of humour.
-
what I cant work out is how you saw him being taken off as he was subbed at half time!!!!!!

These star players normally have an high appearance fee built into their contracts. I would suggest that the club cannot justify paying these at present. The whole loyalty payments, appearance money, bonus for goals, win bonusses and signing on fees really need to be addressed by all of football. Berbatov etc have now shown that the contracts are worthless to the club who owns the player and the authorities toothless to do anything about poaching players. To me the contracts only protect the players interests if they dont perform/injured and then are torn up when the player wishes to go. I realise that the contract gives the club a chance to get a fee, but if you add up all the costs of the others that are not saleable anymore then you lose more than you gain.

as Greenridge says the loan window opens and then some more will go.The loan market is becoming a big part in football. More and more deals seem to be test it and see. Selling the middle range players is going to become harder with only the cream worth massive fees.

Iam nice to him, I dont put him on ignore

you better not
