Is the Premiership the promised land for the Saints?
OldNick replied to Long Shot's topic in The Saints
I read in the Mail that even Man u are having to trawl around to sell executive boxes. They used to have a 2 year waiting list, now Man U are contacting companies who used to book tables as far back as 5 years ago. The corporates are tiring of the PL that is a stark warning for football as a whole. I assume that a lot of the prawn sandwich brigade, have now been there and done it and unless you love football the novelty of going to OT is fading. -

CS i appreciate that, I have no issues with any Saints fans on here even though it may seem that way sometimes. Although there was one who posted he hoped that Euell would get a career threatening injury and so I cant accept that. -
Id be amazed if he did. The club was in a corner, we dont know when interviewed what NP wished for or was prepared to do. Without spending a lot of money and reducing costs at the same time how could the club have moved forward or survived any differently than they are doing now. NP did an ok job. We got out of jail last day and Im thankful for that. I expect Leicesters running costs and wage bill are higher than ours at present. He has a team that should have been safe in the CCC and they blew it, it could so easily us or Coventry who went down. He has started well and good luck to him but perhaps he was judged not to be what we needed at this time. We would not have the luxury of loaning a Wright at present and his hands would be tied to use the youngsters.Nobody will ever know what would have happened if he has stayed.

BTF, underfunding is no excuse and is always the first thing these people hide behind. Health inspectors must have visited and any of us would see the dirty toilets next to the worksurfaces etc. The impression I get is that a lot of these people just go through the motions and dont do their job properly. A great friend works in the Vat office and I have often moaned at him about the un restistered traders, and he said look at it from the officers side.If given the choice would you choose to visit the soft law abiding business where you are offered a warm office and tea and coffee or go down a track to a farmbuilding to confront non vat registered panel beaters. I like 99% of people would take the soft option.I suggest that is the case with the health people.Go and visit the friendly easy to prosecute without having the race relations issue thrown up.

he isnt that stuopid as I note that the mirrors are all well below head height.
-
We have to try and forget NP.He did ok and will probably get Leicester promoted (sadly) as I like to see MM fail more than anything else.
-
Watched it tonight and I am astounded that the enviromental health people dont pick these things up. I think they should do surprise visits not pre arranged ones.
-
watching the newcastle fans singing at the ground, doesnt seem to be too many brain cells there.
-
I am surprised because if that is Westwoods place it is less weird than I thought. I expected a place more like the killers home in the Silence of the Lambs

I do agree he should have helped the police find the others. After all it was stated on here (i think) that at least 1 was on Dyers friends on facebook.Since removed no doubt. I was told there was a lot more cctv stuff and that was not shown on the Mirror piece.Whether that made it look less suspicious or more guilty is impossible to tell without seeing it. As you say the CPS thought it was worth going forward.

Thats ok , one mans meat an all that.

Again I wish all these things could be played out, but if that is the case you and I have supported many players who have broken the law, many of them heroes. We cannot pick and choose who we make examples of. Fernandes was done for drink driving and refusing to stop. To me that was a life threatening offence. Many of our players have been over the limit but have we campaigned against them?

Where did you get that picture from? That was from our first date when I refused to sleep with her and so she went and got the gun to force herself on me.

Funnily i dont take it personally but when a generalisation is made because some can see that AD etc was not dragged from the club, and then told we are stupid because we see it differently. Sarcasm may be the only way to deal with it. Channons Sideburns said it,perhaps without thinking / in frustration, or because he meant it. He's a long time supporting fan and so I respect his views and sometimes (rarely we agree, but that doesnt matter) we do find common ground. As with you, as long as its civilised thats all that matters as we all want the same thing. -

considering the initial thread would have taken some time to compose its nice to see posters are not being flippant.
