  1. Ings , he is on 100K at WHU I thought. Didnt want to jon us on various occasions ince he left so I feel its a bit fanciful
  2. No different than other clubs fans. Only a few clubs have songwriters aka Man Utd. No doubt sung by fans from all over the South who take their time to visit. Im not a snob about where a fan comes from, ( although I am a Shirley boy of birth)always been delighted to embrace fans from all over the world who have been tarnished by supporting Saints. I dont stand in the Northam by the way, but do enjoy watching the Northam celebrate rather than spending all afternoon flicking V's at the away fans
  3. I think the Northam Wall will become a major part of us rising from the flames. The matchday atmosphere that has been lost this season will be back next and there will be a buzz agin outside the stadium pre match
  4. I love a bit of sarcasm on here

That would be wonderful if we can get that figure. I watched MLT in his early days and was a big fan and had many a debate why he should play, with many saying he was a luxury etc etc. I dont feel TD is anywhere near to him at that stage and whilst he does get you off your seat , a couple of passes forward get us off our seats this season lol.

    Ivan Juric

Whilst Adam Armstrong going on loan may not be a major loss, it meant we really had little forward choice. SO Archer SUlly or TP , hardly a mouthwatering selection for a manager to work with. Juric was failed in January and I understand why players didnt join, but we were weaker at the end of the window than before. It is a tough gig for Juric but he has got to take a lot of blame for not seeing that the players are not up to fanciful man to man system. They look nowhere fit enough to play that way

    Refunds

Isnt it 4 more games, and so they may use that as a kind of discount by not increasing prices
  8. Next season is going to be tough. Looking at Leicester last night, they still will have probaly the best mobile midfield in the division and likewise up front. I know they are not scoring this season but Daka etcwill do so again next. ALso that winger who tore us a new one when he came on at SMS earlier in the seaosn will be back from injury. Ipswich will also still be good for that league, let alone all the other improving sides down there. Whilst we have a battered and disenchanted squad that the semi precious players will be sold and we will bestripped bare. Quite a job for Spors to rebuild

I think wewill be lucky to get £20-25m for him, he is potential only at this stage. When he goes on one of his runs he is a delight to watch but when he is just wandering around it is frustrating. I also am amazed that he doesnt wear proper shin pads, a mistimed tackle and its good night nurse.
  10. I thought when Downes came on he played with an aggression I hvent seen from him for a long time. It would be good if he could play in the team again. If he could find that grit again we may not lie down and let the opposition midfelders overrun us constantly
  11. This is a problem with fans,we want a reduction in S/T price but wont then accept fewer signings We have been fantastic as fans, but the club will cut its cloth and so expect to get decent match income in to help pay the high costs we have
  12. I do wonder if Wilcox has been a massive success at Utd. I assume only after the summer window can they assess. He had a hit with getting a couple of Man city players, of which one was sold for a good fee, my mind may be fuzzy but were any of the others startling bargains???
  13. It has to be Ormorod, he helped Beats so much

If we had that would have been good as well

'What did the Romans do for us' Crikey 0-0 draws is a luxury this season lol. WHat a football fan craves is the herion fix of a goal, as we failed to score the pressure of not having a fix built up. It was a shame that we missed those pens, I think one was very late in a game, everything would have been so much rosy. I dont know how long you have been going but I recall the days of Chris Nichol where we just couldt get a goal / wiin until we got the happy release by scoring a late winner. All of a sudden the world changed in a moment. Anyway I would have liked Puel to have been given a bit longer.

we are polarised and so neither will change, but look at those games 2 x Arsenal, Man City, and Man utd before their decline. So not too shabby, had we gained a few more points against those sides (Man Utd I think finished 2nd) we may have finished in the 6th place

I think you will find we missed penalties in the 0-0 draws towards the end of the season. We played some superb attaking , flowing football. WHU away, the games in our cup run, this without having a summer to recruit
  18. Loved Nunez missing the penalty, but I do feel Arne is far more palletable than Klopp. Where was the lauded Anfield atmosphere, usually its indimidating on such nights. Liverpool should have scored. I would have liked them to win as English club but the love in with the biased media made me ok that they lost, especially seeing Carragher looking fuming. The ref was very good, not falling for the Liverpool players falling down. That Doue (young sub) is going to be hell of a player.
  19. was he collecting the trolleys

Very similar to Chris Nicholl following Lawrie
  21. We also have to remember the totally revolutionary playing with 2 small players on each wing and nobody in the middle.
  22. He had tried it at Anfield inthe cup the seasn before and their 2nd side beat us comfortably. I think we started ok but then fell away

The fans had decided that they didnt like him. Thats fine, its all choice and opinion. Still doesnt get over the fact that he did very well

No idea either, many mangers leave and dont do anything elsewhere. To me he did well for us. To a degree Kpeman failed at his next club, Lawrie failed at Sunderland and so it is just is the man right for that team at that time.

I think you are wrong, it was constant on here about how he was poor charisma wise. Yes welost VVD , any team would miss him. Im not sure if it was his fault that we again had poor backups as I cant recall if he made any signings. The next thing will be Europe thrown in, the misses that VVD made in those games plus our forwards should have more than scored enough to win. A thin squad had to be managed and so at times weaker teams were put out,
