    Claude Puel

I dont believe you are anything but a big fan of RM. I totally understand your loyally to him. I am still bitter about the way Puel was kicked aside 'he had no charisma etc etc' but didnt we go downhill since he left with us in 8th and a cup final after beating Klopps Liverpool home and away, and also Wengers Arsenal

You are obviously one of RM major fans and can't get over his sacking. Can you not see that if he had got out of his thick skull that playing his way and only way, we were not good enough in this league. His style only just got us out of the championship, it was madness to play the way he did in the PL , especially recruiting forwards who were not patently good enough, and Ryan Frazer who was bit part in the Championship. You are correct that Juric has been a bit disappointing but may learn from his mistakes. I will always be grateful for the day at Wembley but there were so many poor days, and his football was not really good, it was kaliedescope football, lots of pretty patterns but no result at the end of it. The idea of possession football was to tire the oponents out and take advantage late in the game, seems to me we were tired and let in a few late goals.
  3. Deffo, but there are 2parts of the business, unfortunately the most important one is crap. Making money to help improve our psr is a must also. So that side is doing its job, the recruitment and policy of the owners is dire
  4. I believe there is heart and effort but the players must have very low moral and confidence. The squad is so thin ofquality,in other seasons and things were going badly, I used think when XYZ get fit things will get better but this season there is nobody there where you can feel 'when he returns things will look up.' Many fans pre season were optimistic and believed we would cope easily , bragging and happy that we had had a snip by getting THB and the midfield dynamo of FD. Sadly those hopes have been extinguished by the jump in quality they were facing. The purchase of Frazer and the 2 forwards was a mystery and whilst I think Ramsdale is very good, it seemed mad that we spent 20m on a keeper.
  5. I not saying to feel sorry for the owners, but if the merchandising department are trying to find ways to help the club generate income then whats the problem? Yes the team are shit, and I never expected a team that finished 4th in the Championship to do nothing more than struggle. OK it is worse than expected but no good taking it out on people who are trying to help. No doubt a lot of them are concerned about their famillies and own future as redundancies will be on the way.A very sad state of affairs, and boycottig products or going is going to change SFA.
  6. the merchandising depatment are trying to make money for the club and so trying different ideas. We are down at the moment and so picking on the club, they are at least trying
  7. might mean your first sentence may be wrong

Found dead alongside his wife and dog. Fantastic actor, briliant as Popeye Doyle in the French Connection as well as in Enemy of the State
  9. I have always disliked the new owners and felt Semmens was doing ok with Gao (who ) It seems we are cursed, as we had a brilliant owner in Marcus, he sadly passed, then Gao whose intentions seemed to be good but then the Chinese govt. cut him off at the knees who stopped the flow of money out of China. We now have SR who I have been wary of, BUT I believe that we have to stay with them. I always was disappointed with Semmens choosing them over the other 2 bids, but I was told by somebody that the other 2 bidders were not cashed up and were gong to do it by loans. (this was a random person I dont know, but he seemedto be well informed) At least SR are using their own money.

I dont think we need a physio
  11. I will accept your opinion in 4 or 5 gamestime when he has had time to get up to fitness. It is harsh to condemn a player who hasntplayed for 2 years on the back of 2 appearances. I understand he wanted to go, but Im sure all the squad wanted to go when we went down, and will do so this summer
  12. Our players would miss
  13. Did he play for Celtic?
  14. Heisno doubt a hard worker but he is typical product of ourclub in themidfield area, runs around a lot, doesnt make a killer passand has no physiche or pace. Even the Arsenal keeper outpaced him over 50 yards lol. He has done well earning 100k pw by looking decent in a poor Saints team, he left at the first opportunity, like Ings and all the other arses who we believe love the club but we weak minded fools fall for it time and agian. That includes me,
  15. I doubt many players are going to show improvement after 8 weeks, RM had 18 months or so and I cant think of any who upped their standard. You believe the players were keen on the playing out of the bacjk style, but to me they lost faith as it takes only so many times to be caught playing out and conceding until they like the fans lost faith.

Having a strong manager who ruffles feathers is not a bad thing, not sure there has ever been a top manager who hasn't had steel and weeded out the flowers. Pampered multi millionaire kids ae hard to get through to I suspect these days
  20. Fair point, but the Northam generated the noise and atmosphere to get that going. Stuff the standing by the away fans, let the Northam mature into what is should have been since day 1, our end
  21. Saturday, when we scored the Northam sounded awesome and the Bournemouth team and fans wilted a bit. I was at the other end of the stadium and the noise was brilliant. We just need stuff to lift us. Te away fans have been moved, get over it. Longterm it will be a benifit
  22. Yep they sung until they got nervous as they thought we were going to get a 2nd. Once they got a 3rd they were full of it again. Only thing was they did join in the minute applause, that was decent. They were pretty quiet outside the ground after the game
  23. I now live in Salisbury and went in by train Saturday. Most if not all were working people who went in. All this 'working class' crap gets on my nerves. Gone are the days of urchins queing up and jumping over the walls to get in, nowadays the kids are chuby little sods who have grown up on MacDonalds meals and pot noodles. The majority want to sit at home on their ipads or play stations and dont want to go and watch football. Times have changed from the days when I was kicking a washing up liquid bottle around Shirley school playground as nobody could afford a ball, or in the middle of the street. Now unless they have an all weather pitch and the latest boots there's no way they will set foot out the door. A 'working class' kid doesnt love Saints anymore than a middle class or upper class kid if they get the bug. My grand-daughter travels the country watching Saints and her life is centred around our team. I saw on Xa fan claining to have punched a load of Cherries fans, I assume he should get the red carpet treatment, as that is the only difference I can see is that of a working class kid ( if thats how you want to brand them) and one who takes the time and cost to travel a long way.
  24. Why would we contemplate giving them more tickets???? Having 2k+ of them is a headache enough for the authorities. I fuly expect the clu to not sell season tackets in the margins closest to the away fans as the attendances will be lower next season. Give them the minimum as we only will get 1500 i susect at theirs. No way can yourely on the fans to not be segregated and will need a bubble, but you never know. Sadly the hatred on both sides is too much for it not to happen. Personally I dont hate them, jsut like the banter but not the violence
  25. A couple of things, McCarthy did 2 saves early that made a massive diference to the night. The quality of the team comparedto now, with the grit in midfield and of course quality upfront
