  1. Well I suppose he was correct about one thing, I haven't seen too many snippets that have come to pass that are not out in the ether coming through from COT. Waiting for this number 5 thing.
  2. If Ings was to come here on loan (I doubt btw)WHU would be paying a large chunk of his wages
  3. They are all well written, almost professionally by fairly new posters. Sadly they will soon be hounded out lol.
  4. Perhaps Smallbone has integrity, really does love the club and realises that having lots of 0's on your bank balance doesn't brig you complete happiness. There again if it was a top 6 team he may have gone in a heartbeat but SU probably means he would be playing Championship football next season wheras he has a good chance of playing PL football next season, at a club that longterm may be more relevant and able to stay up.
  5. Dont under estimate QPR, if you wathced the highlights against Ipswich last week they should have won by a margin but missed some amazing chances. I think we should win but would not be surprised f we struggle
  6. instead of lounging, looks like you should be cleaning around the edge of the pool! 😉☺️
  7. OMG this forum tomorrow if Piroe scores, it will be in meltdown!!! I posted yesterday that we should have bought Piroe (if RM thinks he is the answer) as Che is out of contract at the end of the season and so we wouldnt need to carry him in the future (always January as well) Now we have the problem that if Che goes on the eve of the window shutting we will have a bun fight trying to get a replacement and also the selling club will have our pants down. Hopefully the club have a better option but our record in the last few years regarding forward purchases has not been good
  8. Is Manji in the circle of trust, if not I'd take that with a pinch of salt, as they were spot on about Frazer coming here
  9. Because the club would not want to let a fantastic price be passed. Che will be a free agent and so the business people will want to get the money in. If we lose him there is no guarantee we wouldn't go up, wheras they know we wont get a penny for him in a few months. It is a balancing act, you also have to take into account that Che wants to play in the PL
  10. Fear is that we get offered £18m on last day and have to accept and so that leaves us scrabbling again
  11. Turkish put Five in his reply the other day, Davos/ Thats Dr Who isnt it?
  12. January window, christ our season may be finished by then if we hvent acted
  13. I think you will find that after being informed by 'experts/scientists' as a child at Junior school in the late 1960's, being told that oil was going to run out, that we were going into an ice age, cancer would be cured before i was 30, that we knew all the elements there were and impossible that would be anymore (Southampton University Professor's own words) etc etc you become slightly more cynical as time goes on when prophets of doom come about. There are a lot of powerful people making a lot of money form Climate change, many peoples living comes from it and of course it is a fantastic revenue stream for governments with tax. Population is the problem not oil or fossil fuels
  14. Its odd, this forum is Saints fans. All loving the same club but seemingly disliking each other.

    Che Adams

    Missed that, what happened?
  16. If we bought Piroe before we sell Che, surely it means that clubs cant hold us to ransom on the last day of the window. Yes that would leave the possibility of having 2 scorers who do a similar job, but god forbid (if he stays) Che getting injured, also a case that the season is pretty tough. Add to all this if Piroe is only 24there must be a tremendous upside of him improving and his value going up
  17. Crikey CB are you now part of the application process,? I was under the impression Turkish was the god and the followers were draped around his feet in white robes waiting to lap up his every word. A bit like a Grand Master in a Masonic Hall, but in a shed
  18. It is odd that fans just dont get that we well overspent last year and have lost massive income and still think we are rich. In my opinion the owners are wealthy but not stinking rich and cant sanction spending that is not sustainable. How much free cash has Solak??? I suggest it is mainly on paper not free to spend
  19. will be disappointed if we don't, bloody Wilcox not getting the job done
  20. I think it is a tenuous link that at Waterloo Max Aarons boarded a train bound for Southampton, unfortunately he didnt get off there and went on to Bournemouth
  21. And none of the people in the media and the councils etc etc etc whose livelihood depends on climate change don't have their own agenda.
  22. I think they tipped the balance, a bit like a fresh substitute coming on in the 90th minute and taking the glory. Wellingtons army had been fighting for a few days and were exhausted.
  23. Yep Ron great point, but as you know some young players do have niggling injuries when they are still developing. He does play in a demanding position. I myself believe he is a class player and we I hope put in lots of clauses in his contract for the future
  24. Bayern Munich are mugs, they really don't know how to judge a player, whilst we are experts on here. He will be a fantastic player, and has been very unlucky with his shoulder injuries.
  25. Or Pompey, this is when you need the Pompey Bandstand image where they have a dummy of a woman
