  1. I would put my money on Wade Garret
  2. Sky reporter said it was Harwood Bellis mistake
  3. you forgot those arsehole brothers who flashed the Sunderland fans a picture of young Bradley who did of cancer
  4. Well first thing it wasn't at Anfield. I have no knowledge of his wife being unwell, Dave Merrington when he was our manager had a similar situation
  5. Amazed the centre forward is still there. He is imperative for their success. Think its their year. Im getting lots of Skates sending me messages of their future games against us. When Oxford are the main competitors shows that its a weak league.
  6. Stu really should have scored with his header, if he had I think it could have been 4. That left us hanging on a bit against the aerial barrage. In the main I was pleased how the defence coped. I have read on here that Manning is poor etc but to me, I can see why he was snapped up and a decent player. Aribo is calm and will improve as he gets more game time. Pleased to get the win, just a shame it had to be so edgy at the end. A new bit of housery that I liked and how we managed the injury time. The commentator got on my nerves keep going on about no pen given, I dont think either was blatant. That shot that went across the goal just before half time looked as though it was going in and my heart skipped a beat !!!
  7. Perhaps you are underrating those players. I really like Redmond
  8. I thought I saw that somewhere. He didnt want to leave WH and wanted to fight for his place
  9. Always happens when a player really doesn't want to join a club.
  10. Didnt he break up with his girlfriend recently? Sometimes it really get affect people
  11. I really am not sure of SR's motives. Its not about making a successful football team thats for sure
  12. Too late Saints have just bought one to do the job
  13. Sydney, you are obviously one of RH biggest cheerleaders, you will never change your tune and so I accpet that
  14. It does seem obvious, consistent patterns of play can be countered and pushing the opposition to the wings so that they have only one way to go, makes defending pretty easy. Add to that the madness of passing back instead of pushing forward makes it even easier
  15. Perhaps, but he was with us 5 years? He had many transfer windows to build a better squad. I was always amazed that his inside knowledge of the German and Austrian leagues he didnt find us some gems. As for subpar squad, I think you will find many thought we had a wonderful team of world beaters, if ever you read a match thread the posters are aghast that the opposition scored against us and we should roll over most teams below the top 6
  16. It was not a league position of course, but a measure how effective he was gaining points against the other 92 clubs totals. No doubt if he was in the top 15 he would still be here and that would be put under my nose to review. It is an indication of his tenure.
  17. That is superb logic and correct of course, I assume 19 other PL clubs were in the bottom 70 or so
  18. I'm not sure they have done their own money, perhaps saddled the club with more loans/debt. Our owners are very wealthy but I don't think they have untold millions free to put into the club.
  19. No problem to me, I wouldn't have brought it up if Sydney hadn't highlighted it. It was odd but football does strange things to us.
  20. Just comparing my thoughts to yours, you worship RH whilst I felt CP did a better job
  21. I don't care he cried after beating Liverpool, it was bizarre. Ive seen many Saints managers beat Liverpool and none gone on their knees and sobbed. I nearly sobbed after the 2 9-0's Ill give you that, although really just thought typical life of a Saints fan. You lament RH gone, I lament Puel not being given a fair crack after what he achieved. It was not his team at that stage as he had'nt bought his players in. Yes I know people blamed him for not progressing in Europe but didnt we miss some sitters that would have got us through. Watch the League cup semi final and the final and watch some superb entertaining football, not many managers can say they beat Klopp hoe and away in a 2 leg cup competition. Of course RH was better at post match interviews as he could speak good English, not many on here could do an interview in a second language and be entertaining
  22. I suggest 90 in points league suggests 90 other clubs had achieved more points, 90 managers doing better. RH is/was a busted flush and we are one of a few fanbases who would ever put up with the humiliations he put upon us. Puel achieved far more and had we gave him a season I feel we would be better placed.
  23. I agree, in fact it would be devastating if we did go up playing this type of football. Even Kamikazi pilots would turn down the chance of playing for us!!
  24. Problem the Loch Ness Monster has hardly been seen, and the Drogba version may be the same!!!
  25. If by some miracle we do go up, how much would it cost to get a half decent team that will compete? The 150m we've just taken will pale into significance
