Be fair, we were told by COT that Turks had been in Dublin, that is in Ireland and Doyle is an Irish name. If you use 4 letters of his christian name you can also get Mara, who some of us thought my be leaving, but of course it points to Kamari. 😀 The clues are there you just have to pick them up.

Are we getting a fee?
-
OMG how did this happen
-
I heard that Ross Wilson is now at Forest, his wonderful judgement of a player will reap dividends im sure lol
-
Im not anti Cherries as they have never been a rival, yesterdays looked a sell out and you could hear a pin drop. I was astounded how poor their fans were and the team were dross, not that Liverpool were much until they scored
-
wasnt Lavia the one who was most expensive?either way he could also make us plenty in time
-
Only have to hold the away fans in for 15 mins or so and by then most home fans will have dispersed
-
He was bought as potential, and I suspect the thought was he'd be worth 4 or 5 times the cost in a couple of seasons before we got relegated
-
You want to stand next to the away fans, that is fine by me, but being happy to have any home advantage lost is perverse to me. Name me any club who would by choice have the ground set up like ours? The away games over the years ive been to ,the away fans get the area without the roof and they try their best to hide us away so that we could not make a difference. We will have to have our differences on this but my thought is Saints win a priority and banter with the away fans (who for the last 4 or 5 seasons have had the upper hand and can lord it over you)is not important.
-
Stand where you want, no problem but happy for the oppo to gain an advantage on our home turf is ridiculous. Wherever we put the away fans there will be those who want for some perverse reason, wish to stand next to them. That is not the main point though, having an end that can create a noise that MAY intimidate can only help. God its beenso hard to win at SMS since day one, splitting the home support has been a part of that. You correctly mentioned the Leeds game where our team withered as the Leeds fans used their position to help get the points that day.
-
What have they done to deserve that lol 😇
-
He will obviously hype the pro position the club has made. I dont understand your position as you are going to stay where you are and so have lost nothing. I believe the match going experience will be better for all the home fans, as having a wall of sound from the home end will add to our enjoyment. Unless you are one who needs to stand by the away fans flicking V's and giving abuse, you need not worry. I doubt anytime soon Liverpool, Man U or any other club would ever cut their home end in half and put the away fans in, that in turn would effect the likelihood of reducing the home fans effect on a game. This is what you are lobbying for imo

I doubt the decision is down to him, but he has had opinions on it that he has conveyed, or do you feel Parsons is being dishonest? I doubt RM makes many club decisions if any of importance that is non footballing.
-
Why wouldn't RM have mentioned that the away fans make a lot of noise and that is to the detriment of the team? As a fan I can see it, and so Im sure the people who matter on the pitch do as well.. I assume the overwhelming majority have been pleased, and some naysayers have chipped in as well. It is obvious where you stand on this, and Iam the polar opposite, I truly hope this happens and in time you may grudgingly accept that it was/is the correct route.

Oh, Im 80% expecting Che to go but I'm most concerned about Flynn being recalled!
-
Should I expect one off these today???
-
Thanks for that really good

Phil Parsons: “Russell Martin and others have told me a few times about how loud the away fans are. We are looking at a space where the away fans don’t get an advantage over our team.” At long last we have some sense. A lot of fans get off on flicking V's and shouting abuse at away fans before melting away at the end of the game. Stuff that lets get an end where the noise will intimidate and we can at least get some extra help for our players
-
At other grounds the away fans are not put in areas where they can dominate the home fans. No wonder our ground is the most popular with away fans as they have a great day as they create a great atmosphere and impetus for their team.
-
Im not missing the point. You dont want to move there as you dont like the people. That's fine by me, as I said before Im sure the older generation didnt like your type when you were young. Its horses for courses. I suggest the extra 3 k will come from all parts of the ground , there will be a certain inquisitiveness from younger fans who want to see what its about and perhaps we may get a fair few new fans. IMO it is a massive plus and whilst I dont require beer in the ground I dont worry if it is there, I dont go moaning on about it. I have been going since 68 and never seen a proper end since the Milton, and perhaps Archers bike shed. We have always it seems to have splintered rowdy support. West Stand tunnel end, West stand scoreboard and under the East stand. I really want to see in my lifetime a real Saints home end, not a divided in 2 section, with the away fans nullifying our support and in turn not creating an atmosphere that helps drive on our team. Stay where you are, thats really fine by me. I do understand you not wanting to stand in or around the wannabees but you will find that they will be in the centre and the side parts will have the more restrained but very much vocal support.
-
Oh come on, when we were nipper snappers and went to the Milton/Archers/ Under west stand do you not think that the older generation thought the same. Christ we used to sing about hitting them on the head with a baseball bat ffs. Having the opportunity for the young fans having an end, the experience of a wall of fans for the players to enjoy celebrating at and generally make life harder for the opposition is not a good thing? Dont be so negative about something that will improve the game experience for the younger generations coming through. The club are not saying you have to stand/sit there. If you dont wish to you can sit in the Chapel etc. I yearn for us to have a full stadium experience that can boost the players and intimidate the opponent, plus make it a lively atmosphere
-
A bit extreme, is Putin a Saints fan
-
What is the most important thing Tke away the opposition advantage/evening out our home support or worries about Pompey songs. Once we get a big mix of support at oe end perhps others will sing songs that are different and they all will join in. Go to the Chapel and see tht the Northam cant be heard when the oppo have a good following. Once we have a true end it will start to give us a proper noise to help bring points home

Saintsweb Certificate of Achievement The members of Saintsweb are pleased to present this certificate to recognise your lifetime achievement. This has been awarded for gaining 30 likes of laughing emojis on a single post. The only other recipients of this award also for other worthless inputs, have been Alpine Saint, and Corp Ho, This certificate should not be confused with the certificates given to citizens who have pulled people out of burning houses or saved children from drowning, but a fairer comparison is for outstanding reading out loud during bible readings or a yellow braid after learning to swim a few strokes. Hereby I, the approved fellow of Saintsweb has been asked to present this certificate to Turkish CoT, RAC, C&A and hope this will give him encouragement for further feats, and lift his esteem further. Keep up the good work Please print off and frame.
