Being in the PL for most clubs fans is vanity only. The BBC podcasts only talk about 3 or 4 teams and then sometimes add Villa and Spurs. Sky only feature us if we are one of the live games, but even then we are just the mug being putting into the ring to fight the world champion. As for MoTD we usually are last and we get little talk, but the bias from all the pundits if we happen to win is always the other team played badly. Playing in the Championship as long as you have a decent team (we all know that would only last a few years) is far more enjoyable, no var as well

I think the TV director on Sky must be a Pompey fan as he panned onto them and the panel were saying how wonderful they were, not mentioning tht most had left. Merson obviously lauding them .

I slowly warmed to him, but had my doubts I think the euphoria of Wembley was the main factor. I called his football kaleidoscope , pretty patterns but for no real use. In the semi final of the ply offs he gave me hope that he would be pragmatic and non play his rigid system. It annoys me how he has ABK and Tall Paul and doesn't even try and utilise them, all because his footballing thoughts are against aerial attacks. To blame the players not trying and not tackling, christ Oliver was likely to book one of ours for any excuse, therefore we could easily have gone down to 10 if we had. Interesting all the players interviews I heard was them saying the same thing, dont blame the manager and we lacked fight. Were they told to say that

I do wonder if the penalty scored against Man U and the last second goal against Ipswich would have made a whole lot of difference. Image had we 6 points before last night how different the whole night would have been. Such small margins

Oh I totally agree, he is a lummox doesn't read the game imo. He is big and looks powerful but to me he doesnt use those to our advantage. To be fair Flynn was too busy arguing than staying switched on.

As mad as this may seem I wonder if Gao's tenure of ownership was better than SR. He left the club to run and not get involved, this lot took a team that could just about stay up and tore it to pieces. Going down that season was a disaster as the PSR came in and the following season it was easy to stay up. Unless 3 teams goes into meltdown we are doomed The bunch of clowns have found a backroom team who couldn't find a gem in a Indian princes strong room. The players coming through and purchased are not of a physique and pace to compete in this league. Perhaps we should have kept Macca at No 1 and used the 25m extra to add to the £9 or so million we had to buy a decent striker. Not a criticism of AR but perhaps the focus should have been there. For their first goal with the quick free kick, their player was still on the floor and the ball was forward by a couple of feet and 6 ft away from the foul. Normally the ref would not allow that. Good quick thinking but Im sure Oliver would usually bring that back.

let him do what he feels best with. It must be tough on him going to school where he will be the only Saints fan. My grandson to my disgust is going to be a gooner as my s-i-l is one, im very disappointed with my daughter that this has happened
