  1. Saturday proved that the naysayers were wrong and having a proper end does make a difference. The Northam did us proud and there was a different feel. The away fans were nullified, imagine if they still had half the Northam how different the atmosphere would have been.
  2. that is a surprise re the house builders. Would have thought they would be good. I can only assume they feel that inflation and mortgages are on the way up . That is a shame, Im not partisan as I want us all to do well, but if the markets are not reacting well! As for some not worrying too much about the fall of the pound, remember that commodities are bought with the dollar and so fuel etc will go up, adding to infltion.
  3. As I was around during LM reign it was fortunate there was not a social media in those days. The club kept him and it bore fruit for us to enjoy the best days being s Saints fan. Had the club buckled in his first season we may well have been hanging around the lower leagues year on year like our friends down the road. Im unsure whether RM is the correct man butI dont trust SR to get a good appointment in his place. I assume soon people will be looking at the Aberdeen manager. Amazing job hes done
  4. I feel employers will see this as a wage rise. I know nasty bosses get little shrift from people as of course they are making profits out of the workers endeavour, but they have to provide the profits to keep the workers in jobs and also live themselves. Either way we will all pay as of course the rise in NI will be passed on by higher prices. I doubt many will just swallow the rise and not pass it on. So 'workers' will have an indirect tax on them. Anyway, the media for weeks have been scaring the consumers about the terrible taxes and now hopefully that can wane and people focus again on a different thing.
  5. At least we can get on with our lives now. Hopefully people will now start spending. It was not as bad as it could have been and so good on Reeves for that. Quite often the bad bits are in the small print and slide out later. Anyway Im happy as no budget helps me financially always a victim. Its going to be fun to get my free pint of beer with the 1p off, only 700 pints to go
  6. If you notice it says flicked on OR held up. Im not advocating just long ball, but AR is playing long with Archer up front by himself. Utilise what assets we have and so using TP's strength and advantage of height to our advantage. Only this weekend we saw other teams using their tall forwards
  7. If it stays 1-0 it is a result we would have all grabbed before the game
  8. TP will really give them something to think about. Sadly as a disciple of Pep, RM will not want to look as though he plays a bit long ball at times. Of course Pep does when hes losing right at the end
  9. By the grace of god. It is respectful
  10. Im having friends around tonight and going to play 'put a pin in the donkey' will it make it too easy to put the Saints team sheet on the wall
  11. Man City dressing room
  12. Seeing that Taylor was dropped to Under 21@s last night, is that punishment as he was supposed to be marking the edge of the box. I thought it was Sully but I find it strange that Taylor was there last night
  13. Did Leicester take Sully back with them instead of Fatuwa? as he was woeful last night. What a proper defender, does rather than Frazer
  14. What a way to treat Aribo who has given his all. I hope he proves me wrong but it seems to me RM has fallen for the charm by Pep about playing good football. Dibling and AL together not sure enough endeavour, strength, there for me
  15. I would like to have TP in the middle with Adam and Archer each side. The 2 on the wings can go back and help with the defensive duties. Flynn, Fernandes, Aribo THB Bednarek and KWP and Suga ( I think hes injured) so as Taylor played for the Under 21's I assume we only have Jack or Manning as the other option.
  16. If this is true, I feel it is time to send our recruitment team around Fratton End in full Saints kit on a matchday
  17. Is the Commonwealth of any use to the UK at all? Im not sure we get much in return from them. Perhaps time to end our membership.
  18. I notice this morning I saw that Reeves was going for another £20Bn tax hike on top 'for the NHS' what a load of bollox and if you lot believe that!! Just the usual cover the tax with the NHS that people cant argue with. You could spend 20bn extra a day and it wont get better. It needs knocking down and starting again, so we can get the money spent correctly. I love the NHS but when I see the staff standing around by the nurse station doing nothing at the General it is hard to feel it is not efficient.
  19. Perhaps, although Haarland is a big man, Im not necessarily saying playing hoofball but playing small forwards against big defenders does not cut it with us either. TP is not just a lamp post,, he can use his feet and the Leicester defence couldnt handle his strength and hold up.
  20. On saturday I felt there was a real lift and expectation once TP came on. Whilst it is not purist stuff, it certainly adds to the entertainment. I absolute dislike tippy tappy football. Yes play it on the floor as well as getting the ball upfront quickly. Im sure we wont do anything playing the Pep way, but roughing them up a bit and putting pressure on their centre backs would give up a better chance. Still get well beaten but why not??
  21. Let them do it, and football will eat itself, allowing the status quo to get back to something sensible. Once the @big 4-6' get the super league we could get a semblance of a level playing fied
  22. Doesn't take much with a bit of brain, guile, and a whopping great punt
  23. Whilst I would have liked his transfer fee added to the fee of one of our forwards to get a better striker in, I dont feel AR has let us down, he has made some brilliant saves. Its whats in front of him. I felt Macca was treated badly, his mistake at Newcastle was due to him following the managers orders. It is interesting to see that AR plays the ball how he wants without reprimand. I would like us to be swashbuckling with Adam and Archer each side of TP. AR's long balls can then get flicked on or held up, if we lose the ball on the halfway line is better than on the edge of our box.
  24. tdmickey3 do you have any other imojis than that.
