  1. Where is my favourite saints player A. Trialist? Massive put down to Pullis sending him out to play with what is essentially a youth team
  2. Lets hope it's only their youth model and not their financial model that we are using!
  3. I for one was glad to see Dodd there, it's a nice link to the clubs history and will hopefully help to dispell all the rubish going round about our Chairman wanting rid of all links to the past.
  4. Allways fely a bit sorry for Simon, he was ignored by a succession of managers after we got relegated, final got his chance under the Dutch duo and looked to have taken it with both hands and then suddenly found himself at the back of the que again when Pardew arrived. I'll admit his form on rare appearences for us was patchy last season but he can hardly have been high on confidence when he'd gone from being a vital cog in the team to being behind Wotton for a central midfield slot. I think his size, or lack there of has always counted against him as he doesn't look like the combative ball winning midfielder he is. Best of luck to him at Doncaster I think he'll have a good career at Championship level.
  5. All of whom could do a more than adequate job for us at this level.
  6. Please please please don't start this again!
  7. Personally I'd like to see players stick with numbers while they are with us and not chop and change, I like to associate a player with a number like Pahars wearing 17 would have annoyed me if he changed it just because something else became available.
  8. If it becomes available Redcrap will get it, I was nearly sick watching him position himself for the job after the match yesterday. Personally I'd give it to Beckam, he looks the part and ther performances of Klinsmann, Maradonna and Mark Hughes prove it's a dooable proposition.
  9. Surman is a good player and it would have been nice to see him back in the red and white, sadly it wasn't to be. It's not the end of the world, it's not like we've missed out on signing Messi or Kaka there are plenty of other player out there of Surmans standard many of whom I'm sure will be interesting our managment.
  10. Sarmiento played all of about two games in the carling cup and when I saw him at Notts county looked like one of our better players. Licka was totally ignored until he was just about to leave when he finally got a game and looked pretty decent!
  11. I wasn't bothered when it was just one thing but the list seems to be getting longer, what was the last thing we heard from on high that wasn't a PR screw up? It all starts somewhere and while I agree we were much worse off this time last year it still worries me that the new man doesn't seem to care what people think of him or his decisions which reminds me far to much of the last chairman for comfort!
  12. I don't like to think it yet alone say it but if Mr Lowe had been responsible for half the **** ups in the last month then there would have been fans on the streets. Ok the club have decided an installment plan is too expensive, they have had all season to make this decision why only announce it now after every other club in the country has had tickets on sale for months? Surely we could have announced it earlier so poeple could plan ahead, sucked up the cost for a last season of the installment plan or asked people to pay an extra 10% for the installment option? The match day pricing structure is odd and confusing once you put the booking charge in place and for the small sums of money involved just seems designed to leave a bad taste in the mouth. The badge is a joke on a par with the statue fiasco, it looks sub primary school standard and even if it was designed for free by one of the tea ladies it should have been rejected. I'm now expecting the aniversary kit to be a joke and the Ted Bates trohpy to be contested against the reserves. I'm begining to get the feeling our club is back in trouble and I don't like it.
  13. Viafarra for me!
  14. i'd choose Brett in his prime, he did well for us in the prem and had a brilliant record at our current level for blackpool, sadly he's getting on a bit now and is definately out of our reach!
  15. Take it out of the bank and leave it at home with your mum like all the children who can't manage there own money do. It's no disgrace even the mega rich Chris Moyles lets his mum look after his cash as he does not trust himself.
  16. Because it makes no difference if they had been putting the money aside every month since March/April then they would have enough to cover the repayments and Christmas. It's not exactly rocket science, you could even open a special savings account and label it Season Ticket in your online banking system to make sure you don't forget why you have a few hundred pounds saved up.
  17. Thats what years of sloggin it out in the lower leagues will do to you, Rickie has worked massively hard to achieve what he has in the game and has never had anything just handed to him like some of the embaressments occupying the premier league and the papers these days. A real footballer and a real gent hope to see him fullfill his ambitions to play at a higher level by firing us back up the leagues.
  18. That was Jay 'the next Harry Kewell' Lucas saw him play for the kids in an FA youth cup game at Derby and didn't think he was up to much.
  19. no it would be a waste of time and money, would rather see a kid out of the youth setup given a chance. It's not like we have anything but pride left to play for.
  20. those some poeple are an insignificantly small percentage of the population.

    Strikers

Not a chance. Rasiac is an odd one, he was a massive fans favourite at Derby despite his laid back style. Spurs never game him a chance and then when we finally got the 20 goal a season striker everyone said we needed everyone decided he needed to run around more. Never understood it then and never will. Similar thing with Stern alot of people on here will slate him despite him saving us from the drop!
  22. Winning the play offs is better than winning the league you get three more really exciting games and a trip to Wemberly! Much more exciting than just amasing more points than everyone else.
  23. Certain to be relegated and almost certain to start next season on -15 as the tax man won't agree to the CVA most of the players are going to have to go so hopefully at the end of next season we will pass them as they fall into league 1. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch, fingers crossed they won't go out of existence.
  24. Am I the only one who thinks it's looking increasingly like the revenue are going to send pompey under as a way of delivering a message to all the other clubs that owe them money? you can bet they would see the cash from every other club in the country pretty quick if they sent a premiership club to the wall!
  25. Not online you don't, it's a fixed 12 quid!
