I serously don't think he's going anywhere, for me he's just using all this speculation to a get a nice big wage rise at Donny so he can stay where he is comfortable and happy and if that is the case full respect to the lad for knowing what he wants and going after it aggressively. I'm not sure I'd want us to sign any player that spends this long 'making his mind up' he clearly isn't that keen on Leicester or he would have gone as the offer on the table must be good. Personally I want us to be signing players who are keen to come here not saying only those that accept our first offer I prefer a bit more backbone but not those that fanny about for a week or two.

Yet this forum was in uproar when he was allowed to leave at the end of his loan, strange how people remember things.

add the striker Akinori Nishizawa to that list he played against us for Bolton in the worthless cup years ago at the reebok, we lost on penalties. He was an absolute legend on Champ manager but never made a league appearence for bolton and disapeared after that

Interesting but I really don't see how he will get a work permit with only ten caps he can't hit the % targets necessary. I really think this one is a waste of time

Was disapointed to see Holmes left on the bench on the weekend when we were clearly crying out for some width after the sending off. The other two are competing for spots with our better players and have been unable to dislodge them can't say I've been disapointed with either right or left back this season so Butters and Dickson can have few complaints. If only we had a surplus of strikers and centre backs too!

I don't seem to remember this I certainly don't remember him being any more of a liability than Guly is on occasion. I'd give him a start against Coventry and have a quiet word with him before hand along the lines of 'make it impossble for me not to put you in the squad for the next match' see how much he wants it and if he does then he should at least be on the bench he is proven at this level unlike Jonno Quick and the kids.

If he plays I will just cross my fingers and hope that he's pt last weekend behind him and moved on. He had shown genuine ability as a keeper before and I'm sure he will again, people are saying we will definately loose if he plays which is rather amusing given that he is unlikely to make such a costly blunder again and even when he did we still didn't loose to a side that are easily as good as pompey.

Norris was quality a few years back and seems to have found some form lately.
-
How so he was shocking that day we were 4 down and at least 3 were goalkeeping blunders!
-
Which is a ridiculous thing to do becuase if Maradona was raised in todays game he would have benefited from all the extra conditioning work and similarly Messi if he had been a pro in '86 would have learn't his trade in the back waters of Argentina rather than having all the advantages of a comfy life at Barcelona.
-
If you'd told me he'd still be here all this time after the 'incident' at Sheffield Wednesday a few years back I'd have called you a liar, he's a decent keeper but nowhere near as good as some on here make out and his 'professional' attitude clearly wasn't on show that day at Hilsborough when he was terrible and got the hump when the paying support pointed it out to him.

feeling a bit embarassed to be a Saints fan tonight

Scary how far we have come! also scary to see people saying they would have rather had Wilde and Lowe still at the club bet thats not the case now! -
Impressive how according to the opening line of your blog Adkins is in the future making comments about Brighton no wonder he always seems to know what to do to win a match he's already used his time machine to find out!
-
It hasn't happened before and allthough our away support has grown significantly since relegation from the prem I can't see it ever being the cast that every away game sells out let alone sells out to just season ticket holders.

We only did it as European rules required the name and number be on a solid back ground not stripes, our home kit at the time was stripes front and back so for Europe we were forced to wear a shirt with a plain red back.

the real question is CHDAJFU?

The trouble with leaving the St Marys in is the sponsors don't like it as all the TV people etc abbreviate it to St Marys (which is exactly what used to happen) and they don't get there ton's of advertising on the BBC etc. Personally I could really care what the stadium is called or how many logos the players carry it's what happens on the pitch that counts allthough it is sad how money has changed the game almost beyond recognition.

Why does he need to appologies to the fans can't remember him doing anything to us! Sure if he wants back on the bus he needs to appologiese to Adkins and who ever else he has offended within the club but I can't say I would expect an appology. For me if he comes back appologises and gets his head down I'd have him back in the squad he would be a usefull backup that could hopefully mean we never see Guly wasted on the wing again and he's reasonably proven at this level.

If we want to get promoted the important figure is being 1 point ahead of the team in 3rd at the end of the season. If you average out the points tally of the teams finishing third over the last 7 seasons you get a figure of 80.6 points so we should be targeting at least 81 points so another 51 points from 32 games or 1.6 points per game. I hate to say it but I'm starting to believe and at this rate will be disapointed with a play off finish which certainly wasn't in my thoughts at the start of the season!
-
Given that he played for the under 21's as recently as last season to say he isn't still on the radar as one for the future would seem a little short sighted. He has represented France at every level upto the under 21's and captained most of them so the French establishment clearly see something in him. Of course he may not make it David Prutton was once the highly regarded captain of Englands u21 side but I doubt they have written him off yet.

We need cover for Lambert there is nobody at the club who can fill his role.
-
really who cares, life is far to sweet at the moment to worry about something so trivial!
-
another midfielder and an unproven one with a terrible injury record to boot. No thanks.

Corrected for you
