Really hope he doesn't he seems far to decent for our morally bankrupt club if I were him I'd take the oppertunity to get a train to Liverpool for that trial afterall.

Couldn't care if he's fluent in over 8 million forms of communication he can still drop dead for all I care.

Protests, booing, boycotts are Not going to Help us Move on
a1ex2001 replied to Crowds's topic in The Saints
******, I hope we go down it's what we deserve. Would much rather the fans stood together and made the board and owners aware that this is not the behaviour expected of this club and we lost every game for the rest of the season than we happy clapped this nobody who's been parachuted in to the rightful place of a decent an honourable man. Cortese out, I'd rather we were back in admin. -
Wouldn't surprise me if he leaves in the next two weeks, rats and sinking ships? I know if I had the choice I'd want out of this mad house!

You always spout this rubish, please point out all the clubs that have gone out and got a worthwhile value for money quality signing in already this Jan? The transfer window works the way it does for a reason all the good business is always done late not early as clubs and players hold out for more money or better options etc. Stop your continual moaning about the same things it's sad and pathetic if you really hate the club as much as you say you do then please take your 'support' elsewhere we would be better off with out you you massive WUM.

Saints only club in PL without undersoil heating
a1ex2001 replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
Why must you always be so negative it must make life really depressing! Yes 500K would be nice but I'm sure it would have cost as that much to install and run the heating for 12 years during which time it wouldn't have saved a single fixture so all that money would have been burnt for nothing and even now your moaning about a hyperthetical situation the game has not been called of and looking at the weather forcast for Southampton (ignoring the rest of the country!) it won't be. Get back in your box. -
Technically great really thought he was a great player in our nearly season.

I would have the sash kit back as our permanent home strip in a blink of an eye!

Worry about it if/when it happens I remember Jamie White being linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid at a similar age!

The picture you had on your wall is a cropped and processed edit, the origional is widly available with the appropriate horizon and much less contrast etc etc etc. One of the most heavily dubunked moon landing conpiracy photos yet still people peddle it! Yet again the classic conspiracy theorist approach pick a tiny bit and make a vague argument against it even though half of it supports the idea that man could have gone to the moon with out being cooked like a microwave chicken. It never stops amazing me how similar these discussions always are it doesn't matter what the conspiracy the discussion always follows the same route.
-
Classic conspiracy theorist ignoring one argument to focus on another and not really disproving it just disparaging it. There is plenty of information out their to prove the Van Allen belt wouldn't have killed anyone but sadly most of it is from Nasa so inadmissable in the conspiracy court because everything Nasa does is part of the conspiracy have a little bit of fun space maths though http://spacemath.gsfc.nasa.gov/weekly/3Page7.pdf However, I'll play along anyway. So you believe we couldn't put a man in moon orbit so Nasa pre recorded radio and TV footage which was sent to lunar orbit on an unmanned probe and fed back to the world with perfect timming to fit in excatly with what was going on live in mission control? We know the signals originated at the moon because this is independantly verified by the UK and Russia. Given 1960's recording technology consisted of magnetic tapes and traditional film I find this pretty hard to believe don't you? Now to copy the conspiracy theorists template I will switch to something different! Japan, China and India claim to have photographed apollo landing sites at the location specified by Nasa what reson do you think they have for perpetuating the conspiracy? Maybe all three counries are in on it? Japan you might be able to convince me of as they are heavily reliant on US military protection but China and India surely they would much rather be able to say that they found no evidence so they could laugh in the face of Americas superior achievments?
-
I'd say with 1960's technology it was definitely harder to make a convincing movie about going to the moon than it was to pull off the fake, especially when you consider we know the transmissions were sent from the moon/lunar orbit (confirmed by Russia and the UK) so to pull it off everything including the simple conversations would have to have been pre recorded and then played back with perfect timming? Unless of course you concede that Nasa put the necessary people into Lunar orbit but then that would destroy the theory about Van Allen belt Radiation and solar flares? Only we know that those reasons are rubish and that even Van Allen himself has said it is perfectly possible for a person to survive transit of the Van Allen belt and we also have confirmation that their was no significant solar flare activity during any of the moon missions. It is the simple fact that people Like Jared White still cling to the Van Allen belt nonsense when even the man who discovered it disagrees with them that make the whole conspiracy theory unbelievable.
-
The trouble is he has a point, like all good conspiracy theorists you gloss over the awkward questions or the points that go against your theory and instead throw up something else each time obsessing over particular details that are hard to prove either way and ignoring the glaring holes in most arguments. The interent is full of brilliant debunkings by proper scientists of all the major moon landing conspiracy theories if you care to read them what I fail to understand is how this thread got locked into and endless loop about the type of dust and the irrelevant reflectors.
-
To some up this thread: Person1 'It's all fake the biggest conspiracy in history' Person2 'No it's not it's all real' Person1 'I have no conclusive evidence but don't believe you and I have the backing of some internet nut jobs' Person2 'I have no conclusive evidence but don't believe you but I have the backing of huge numbers of experts and the sworn testimony of the men who went' Rinse and repeat endlessly. Personally I believe they happened the conspiracy theory is just too far fetched for me and I believe the weight of evidence is in favour. I could obviously be convinced other wise if some does a 'google earth' of the moon and there is no evidence then i'm sold but lets be honest if the Chinese or Russian governments really thought it didn't happen there would be a dozen probes on their way right now to prove it as the propoganda coup would be imense.

Of course he is bitter the group that replaced him were an appaling bunch of fantasists who tried to bankrupt the club with a reckless gamble that didn't pay off. Yes clubs have been bringing through player since football started but RL did build us a world class accademy with all the best facilties when other clubs were spending all heir money on foriegn mecenaries, had it not been for his sensible investment in a stadium and the training ground/academy we could be in the same boat as a club like Sheffield Wednesday
-
Clearly yes, the only way to satisfy some of the people on this forum would be for the club to publish details of all offers and counter offers and allow us to decide by poll if the terms are acceptable to the fan base or not. The same should be done for all transfers, even if an agent is just offering us a look at some dodgy no name from eastern Europe we the fans should know and get to decide how the deal progresses.
-
I have the same feeling! They just always manage to slip the noose at the last second no matter how nailed on they look to loose and I suspect it will go exactly as you predict the judge will simply go with the plucky fans for noother reason than they are the greatest fans in the whol world and deserve their cess pit. Sad but probably true, if this were any other business the whole thing would have died at the first court case but becuase it's a football club it carries on dragging it's dieing corpse around and pompey just won't die and nobody has the balls to kill it.
-
Sadly the match ball is already promised to an auction to raise funds for cleaning the fat out of the pipes at Moneyfields in a few years time, wouldn't be fair to let the phoenix club wallow it's in own filth like it's predecessor.
-
Most of those will be kept on the book until the end of the season, if we are relegated (fingers crossed we won't be) then some of them are the ready made replacements to come in and fire us back into the premier league filling any holes created by us loosing the likes of Lallana, Lambert and Shaw etc who maybe wanted by prmier league clubs.
-
Great news he's done really well this season and deserves to be rewarded, also as has been said it pushes his transfer value up which eventhough I don't want him sold is a much better situation to be in than Arsenal keep managing with their top players. Really keen to see the club tie Shaw to a new deal as well and I guess now he's playing regularly in the first team both parties will be keen to sort out his future. I fully expect them both to move on in the future as that is the nature of football but hopefully we will see more of them in a saints shirt than we managed with Walcott, Bale and Oxo.
-
I really rate his attitude and the turn around he has managed a the club, not many people go from training on your own to full integration back into the team. I also think it's a bit harsh to blast him for his consistency, there are very few wingers that are consistently good week in week out as it is a very difficult position to really influence the game from those that can like Overmars, Pires and Giggs land u at the very top of the tree!
-
I find this sort of thing very worrying, I'm not bothered if the club refuse to pay someone because they've not delivered or delivered rubish but the fact that we didn't send anyone to contest it makes it sound like we were just with holding payment for no reason which leaves only two options 1). We don't have a pot to **** in. 2). We are the sort of scumbags that don't pay our bills promptly. Which ever the case thats not the behavious of the sort of club I thought I supported, sort it out you muppets before we become a laughing stock.
-
We still created a number of decent chances away from home against a team who are having a great season, yes we were garbage but it's not all doom and gloom with a small dose of luck last night things could have been different handball deflected goal then we smack the cross bar at the other end pretty much sums up our season so far.
