It is certainly over if he is playing championship football. If he goes to a premiership side and plays at the top of his game he at least has a chance. I’m pretty certain he will go even if I hope he doesn’t!

I’d be looking for a couple of years in the MLS if I was Theo, easy money to live somewhere nice and wind down his career. Then retire into punditry, he’s always been well spoken and come across well in interviews etc and he still has the hint of star dust.

Nobody is about to give us half our money back on Tall Paul, he has done the square root of naff all since we signed him, our best hope is he turns out to be a mitrovic after a couple of seasons in the championship other wise we can kiss good bye to that transfer fee in it's entirety! Same goes for Orsic anyone thinking we are getting more than a nominal fee for him at the minute is dreaming the lad hasn't looked like a football player since we signed him.

To be honest I’d be amazed if our under 13’s GK is any worse than GB or AM! Arguing over which is worse is like debating if it’s better to be punched or kicked in the balls, neither is a decent option! We’ve twice been burned signing young keepers from city let’s hope we’ve either learnt our lesson or the old third time lucky thing kicks in!

Currently I would say yes, Lavia has shown incredible potential this season and could go in to be a better player, could also fizzle out into nothing. JWP has been consistently good for years!

I don't think anyone here thinks he should be in England's starting 11 do they? I certainly don't! He should as he is be in and around the squad and I think he has been unlucky not to get more caps, if he put up similar numbers at a bigger club he would no doubt be selected more often.

Those in this thread saying they hope he leaves and trying to paint JWP as a poor player need to go stand in the corner for a bit and think about how dense they are being. I'm fully aware he is not KDB but he is a class above every other midfielder at the club and would be one of the very very top players in the Championship, if he is dumb/loyal enough to stay another season it will be the best piece of business we do this summer. Seriously look at his numbers he has been outstanding for us consistently for years, actually appears to give a damn about the club and would walk into the teams at at least 14/15 other clubs in the premier league let alone the championship. All he lacks is that extra 10% that would make him world class, if he has been blessed with a little pace and a trick or two we would have lost him within a season to one of the big four.

Everyone should be judged by their actions and words sadly it’s not hard to find huge swathes of the current government fail that judgement!

Can’t believe Bazunu doesn’t feature in more of these lists, the guy is absolutely stealing a living as a goal keeper let alone a first choice one at a top flight club! Lyanco is a shoe is as he is just utterly garbage and I don’t think has put in more than one decent game in his entire time here. The third spot is tricky as so so many could fill it but I’m going AA just because we bought him as a striker and he scores even less than che! The entire point in sending him on loan to play at a lower level, lots of people seem to be missing that as well! Had we not totally arsed up this season he would have returned in the summer a much better more confident player perhaps ready to be a premier league player. Sadly we totaly arsed up the season and will be relegated so he is unlikely to want to return, this doesn’t mean he is good enough for us this season or that next season he will be a premier league star for Burnley the gap between the league is large and we have a couple of great examples in the squad of how difficult it is to turn championship form into premier league form! Dear god we are so awful that people are now listing Walcott as a starter when two weeks ago everyone was saying he should retire! The only thing that will really make a difference is if someone finally manages to light a fire under the players which I’m not sure the nice guy in charge is capable of! Every player involved in last night embarrassment should be doing shuttle runs until they like this morning they were out played and out fought by some league two cloggers ffs! The real shame is we were already down after the Leeds game so last night was the biggest game left this season for us and the team just couldn’t be bothered….

He maybe a 41 year old make weight but the current person who plays in goal is not even good enough to be called a goalkeeper, he looks further out of his depth than a toddler in a diving pool. The only possible reason for his continued selection is that it’s in his contract I’d rather see a youth team player between the sticks than GB who looks like an appalling piece of transfer business, he is Angus Gunn bad if not worse!

Because it’s the same end result of a move to Chelsea and he probably gets a double dip in bonuses and I bet his agent would make a packet! Money makes the world go round! I’ve never really worked out how these buy back clauses work if the player says no, it’s something that hasn’t really been tested I guess!

And it wilL need to be enough to stop them just buying him back for 40m and then selling him to Chelsea, for me he looks like a 50-60 million player.

It seems a common theme for sports coaches, in pretty much every one the documentaries I’ve watched they seem to like to scream and shout and the majority swear more than peak Gordon Ramsey!

Not exactly the most inspiring appointment but a massive improvement on Jones mainly because he won’t start by telling everyone he is the best manager in Europe and chosen by god to bring the saints marching up the table! Hopefully he will set the team up to suit the players we have and look to play football not hoofball. I don’t think he has a hope of keeping us up as it would just take to bigger turn around in form which rarely if ever happens I’d be happy with showing some fight for the rest of the season to build a little positive momentum going into next season in the championship, teams that go down with a whimper struggle to get back up as it is hard to reverse that momentum!

Mara isn’t big enough for Jones ball and now we have seen how amazing the fully unleashed front footed aggression if jones ball is I’m sure we are all glad he didn’t carry on with the team from the city game! Today we looked amazing, cut the to shreds and creates chance after chance it was only the impaired backs to the wall performance from wolves and some terrible luck that stopped us winning if they hadn’t had the advantage of fewer players than us we really would have smashed them!! Jones is a joke, how do we end up putting out that team? How do we end up throwing away what should have been the easiest three points in recent history and how is Jones aloud to run away and hide in the dressing room? He should be out on his ear by morning I’d rather see the tea lady pick the starting 11 and just tell them to get on with it, she’s probably get a better response from the players and unless she too is bat shit crazy would get a better response from the fans. Enough is enough, relegation is a certainty but let’s at least go down with dignity.
