It's in Moscows interests to keep these people poor and without hope of a better future, so when cannon fodder are needed the lure of a years pay per month is hard to refuse. They never know the horror of the situation until it's too late. The Moscow "elite" put no value on their lives whatsoever. The was a genuine situation recently when Ukraine offered to release a Russian POW, just one, for 15 Ukrainian corpses. Russia refused as they saw no value in him.

The live ua map , aside from twitter posts, would indicate Russia is unleashing missiles all over Ukraine : https://liveuamap.com

A few commentators have mentioned this. Ukraine have adopted NATO command structure which allows a certain amount of improvisation on the ground without having to ask Kyiv and wait for the OK. Izium is under AFU control, even the area north of Kharkiv itself is falling to Ukraine. As Jimmy said Russia have all but abandoned Kharkiv oblast, in rather a hurry. I'll think they'll let Kherson stew for a while, Russia have moved a lot of forces to the northern front there, no need to risk heavy casualties as Russia are going nowhere there. I'm guessing Melitopol/Tokmak might be the next targets, although if the Russian collapse expands into Luhansk region they may well just push on there. I'm sure like most following this war, looking at the maps a week ago at places like Izium, thinking AFU surely can't take it back without a bloodbath...

I'm a big fan of Peterson, this is his usual intelligent and well presented analysis. His comments about slavery did put a more positive perspective on Britain with this "issue", the fact that we abolished it first, when still a great world power, seems lost on those who continually want to make this country apologize for it's part in what was a global industry.

I just love Igor, Mr "44 HIMARS and a Ukrainian Death Star have been destroyed". There are two main problems with his assessment though: 1) Usually during a troop redeployment the soldiers are supposed to bring their equipment with them, or at least destroy it. 2) Ukraine are running through the entire Kharkiv oblast at will, as well as parts of Luhansk reportedly, which really will piss Putin off as they've only recently "liberated" it. The US are sending the excaliber artillery shells , finally, and probably the ATACMS long range HIMARS. Russia are buying shells from North Korea. Add to that the morale factor, I wonder how long it will be until the Wagner soldiers decide to bail out.

Don't tell me AFU are at the gates of Moscow already!
-
Reports of AFU approaching Lyman, and that they've taken Yampil, both to the south of Izium. They're all over the Russians it seems. Masses of equipment and ammo abandoned as well.
-
AFU reportedly approaching Izium , Vitaliy Ganchev (Kremlin administrator for Kharkiv based in Izium) already fled to Russian border town. This is nuts.
-
50km gained in 3 days. The Russians are sending reinforcements from Izium however, hope AFU haven't overextended themselves and have enough firepower to knock them out.

Nice one. I haven't visited Reddit for a while, the videos seem to take ages to load. This is almost comical, Russia are so bad at fakery, unless the soldier at he end was one of those genetically modified in the biolabs...

I linked this earlier from a pro-Russian source, needless to say the last few seconds were missing!

Dannatt made these statements 11 days ago, prior to the Kherson counter offensive. Ukraine are making gains, albeit small, but they've managed to advance more in a week that Russia have managed in a month. Whether they can continue remains to be seen. The Russian forces in the area are virtually cut off, their ammo and food is dwindling and many aren't even being paid what they're owed by uncle Vova and the casualties are mounting up. Dosen't look too hopeful for them.

You want Adams in goal?? Well it's worth a go i suppose.

I wondered when this was going to be aired, the fabled amphibious assault attempt on ZNPP 3 days ago. Verification of this is virtually non existent, and reports do contradict what evidence has been presented. This pro Russian channel gives an account, from around 1 minute in : RYBAR Ukraine War Map Sept 1st - YouTube This is purportedly a video of some of the Ukrainian soldiers KIA in the attack : Eliminated Ukrainian special force..during kherson counter offensive of ukrine.#russiaukrainewar - YouTube Another video of one of the barges used, allegedly : AZ 🛰🌏🌍🌎 on Twitter: "‼️ 🇺🇦 🏴☠️ Footage of a burning barge appeared online, one of those that carried Ukrainian troops to attack to capture the Zaporozhye NPP and were demilitarised by the Russian army https://t.co/zEouldTjwt" / Twitter Ukraine apparently landed a small force of 60 or so men in small craft north east of the ZNPP, which were ambushed and largely wiped out with artillery and helicopter attacks, a handful of prisoners taken, about a dozen still there last I heard. Russian intelligence tracked these soldiers movements from Poland, prior to their training in the UK (really?). Two larger barges were also launched from Nikopol containing 320 men in support, but were sunk halfway across the reservoir by artillery some 40 minutes later. The video geolocation of the burning barge is 18km from the initial landing point, and shouldn't be there at all as the 2 barges were "sunk" according to the Russians. The iphone footage of the dead Ukrainians is also suspicious, the weapons are wrong, the banknotes clean and uncreased (why carry money anyway?), and not a trace of blood to be seen, and none of the faces shown. Another elaborate Russian false flag, or a botched operation by Ukraine?

Just been reading the twitter thread where this came from, it's quite disturbing (the tweet in question concerns a 22 cover small restaurant). James Allcock on Twitter: "my current energy bill for my tiny 22 cover restaurant is £2,928 a year. This is my new quote. Unsure what to actually do next but as a business that cost would now be more than I pay in rent and more than I take some months. I simply don’t have the money for this. https://t.co/D8zPbOBNQI" / Twitter

It looks like Che either took his eye off the flight of the ball , or mis-timed his jump, either way it was poor, but hardly the miss of the century. He is weak in the air it's true, but to go from Leicester hero to get rid in 3 games is bollocks IMO and just shows how fickle some fans can be. The fact is we managed just 1 shot on target the whole game, despite more than matching Wolves for most of the game. I would be more concerned with that.

In 2 weeks it will be caked in limescale from the shite water we have here and wont save you a penny. I can't wait for his latest money saving tip, probably something involving candles, socks and the genocide of elderly relatives.

The Japanese in WW2 would have been proud if this : Fuck Russia and the cowards who appease them.

Here come the cavalry : I'm not sure how the Russians are going to get this stuff over the Dnipro river though, the bridges are all shot, Ukraine hit their barge ferry earlier today as well. Could end up a turkey shoot. The decoy HIMARS are well worth the effort, the Russian Kalibr missile costs $6.5 million...

Seems they're going for it : This is huge.

UK aid to Ukraine : £2.3 billion (total, military and financial aid) UK annual welfare budget (2021/22) : £240 billion Just to put it in perspective, Ukraine are hardly bleeding us dry. I'm proud of my country (for once).
