Used to play Tyro back in the bronze age, who won?

Afghanistan, Germany, Yugoslavia, Near Harad, Gondor....

Remember reading about this type of thing a few weeks back, as an indicator of how poorly maintained the Russian armour is. It seems the entire Russian military machine is dysfunctional, from manufacture through to battlefield. They haven't deployed an army this large since WW2, and clearly haven't got a clue of how to do it properly, which is why they've lost so much equipment and men (reasoned estimates state just under 50% of their deployed BTG's so far). I think if Ukraine can get the western artillery pieces into action quickly Russia could be in serious trouble.

I don't think this man has ever read a history book, the hypothetical what if's are just laughable conspiracy theory ramblings. There's too many contentious statements to go through, but the thing is, many Americans will view stuff like this and swallow it. Still, that's freedom of speech for you, something Putin is not exactly keen on.

Like the "sewing & cooking" contributions from the ladies, good to hear of the more traditional, and nowadays often derided, roles that only women can do well, us man are so inept with a needle and unless its half a cow on a barbeque, forget it. Well done !

Fuck me I remember that stuff from primary school, it had the absorbancy of teflon, you were better off just shitting your pants, cleaning up as best you could with your kaks, dumping said kaks and walking home in just your trousers.

Neighbours who have a dog, invite friends for a barbeque, who also bring their dog. Result: a whole afternoon of loud ferrocious yapping and barking disturbing what was to be a nice peaceful day beheading a chicken ready for a nice roast dinner.

2-ply bogroll. Seriously, what's the point if you have to use twice the amount, folded expertly, to avoid the "brown finger" scenario.

Wasn't Churchill responsible for the disastrous Gallipoli campaign in WW1 ? For all his faults (like being pissed up for most of WW2), he did see Hitler for what he was when many were skeptical, notably Chamberlain as mentioned (and also the threat of Stalin). Bojo is certainly no Churchill. He's played well in the Ukraine crisis to be fair, showing decisive and unwavering support in what is the biggest threat to world peace since the Cuban missile crisis. However, his home form has been pretty shocking. I've always thought him to be too frivolous for the role, even as he was made Foreign Sec I winced. It's not only the Tories, whose stock is sinking by the day, our politicians in general don't seem to possess the gravitas they used to have. Starmer needs to up his game and present a credible electable alternative to this self serving, filtching, morally bankrupt excuse for a government. -
As deluded and inaccurate as the Nazi's Aryan race theory, Ukraine has been subject to unspeakable brutality by Russia/USSR for over a century now, so by some perverse logic it seems the two are intertwined. The Ukrainians seem to have an awful lot of national pride and patriotism for a country that really dosen't exist. As their cities have been pounded, has their army surrendered, mutinied, attempted a coup? A former comedy actor FFS has stared down one of the most ruthless dispassionate figures in world politics.

Is that what the Kremlin has long termed "the East Anglian Question" ?

Couple of Nazis if ever I've seen one.

Seems Russia has whacked 2 olligarchs recently, one in Russia, another living in Spain. Oh, and the wife and daughters of both, just to make it look like murder/suicide.

Brought back memories of those illegal midnight feasts at prep school no doubt, a risky business, to get caught meant certain buggery by one of the masters (allegedly). -

Did he really hide in a fridge ? Must have been one of those enormous American ones.. -
Those four-packs of beer that are held together with blobs of industrial strength glue, near impossible to prise apart without at least 2 cans ending up bouncing on the floor. Ref sheafsaint, modern packaging in general, it dosen't matter what it is these days, nothing is designed to be opened cleanly without resorting to weaponry of some sort.

Must have been an Ukrainian plant surely, countries overrun with them apparently, nearly 2.2% of the last vote.

It's been nearly 2 months now, have any of these sportsmen/women publicly condemned Russia's actions? Genuine question.

It's not a difficult concept to grasp is it?

You're on a loser here MLG, your analogies are getting more bizarre with every post. Regarding Wimbledon I think the possibility of a trophy being handed to a Russian by a member of our royal family while we are sending lethal aid to kill their countrymen could look a little... awkward? The LTA did consult with No.10 apparently and this is the line the UK are taking, it's a symbolic gesture of support for Ukraine, not a personal vendetta. It perhaps would have been amusing to see Russian players driven off court by a barrage of strawberries but there it is.

Dosen't really matter now though dose it, as Putin (estimated wealth $200 Billion) wants to level the country for his own vanity.

Russian MOD spokesman : He stressed that "the number and scale of missile strikes against targets in Kyiv will be increased in response to the Kiev nationalist regime committing any attacks of a terrorist nature or sabotage on Russian territory."
