Ross Wilson is director of football now and Reed sits on the board with him. Wilson arrived in 2015 and was originally in charge of scouting and recruitment i think. I dont know when he took the DOF title, but has been working alongside Reed for a number of years. The last 18 months have seen the worst managerial and player recruitment that led us to this seasons mess, so i would say Ross Wilson must take some blame that Reed seems to be getting, Reed is not clean however. Who decided on bringing in Guido Carrillo for £17M ? That wasnt really a position that needed filling badly as most would say CB was left wide open with VVD leaving in early January.

You really do live in cuckoo land are you paid by clotese to make these daily Reed hate posts ? Clotese left us financially in the mire with big interest charges on flops like Ramirez and Osvaldo, something like £40M down the drain. Clotese also did as much as could to damage the club before he left, orchesteating newspaper journalists to write allsorts of 'meltdown' headlines via the then clubs PR and told adidas to do one for no reason other than pure spite. Reed was a club consultant before he became employed and so desperate was cortese to find someone that could run a football club he employed him. Such is your weird stance on Reed i presume you were lambasting him when Koeman arrived and the players that saw us finish in the top ten 3 times in a row with euro football twice. So, whilst there is clearly reason to question Reed over the last 18 months, that is no the complete picture being portrayed by yourself and others.

Cortese aka the master of illusion He left because he had enough of living in the UK and family wanted to return to Switzerland. I suspect his main motivation was to sell at some point and make himself a large wedge, rather like whats happened now.
-
He didnt need replacing because other people did the work.

I imagine it will be owned now by Mr Gao as he bought St Marys Football Limited which was part of it.
-
Still dont get how he arrived at the club without a manager.

Under Armour kits have been woeful and so has all their additional clobber, i highly suspect there has beeen a massive drop in sales from adidas. UA supplied Spurs and Villa and both have had kits designed with far more 'detail' than what we've got in two years. Whoever is responsible for merchandise at SFC should be calling the shots, far more clearly as other clubs have done. I dont understand the clamour for this sash kit it worked ok for the 125yrs esp with no sponsor and historically 'Southampton FC' have never worn that kit.

I dont see anything of note to be concerned about from the financial report. The aussie bank charge is simply to get money upfront to pay the monthly wage bills ! What we dont want to see is the owner taking money out of the club from these profilts. Mr Jisheng cannot take one penny out of the club, if it does then we need to find a new owner.

Its just crazy to think that hes still the manager and made it past last December ! I dont see one clear reason............. I think the boardroom are scared to lose face following the takeover and them still being management as part of the 'deal' The boardroom unwilling to give into players again, after they sacked Puel on their behalf. A first team player told someone i know that Pellegrino was 'way out of his depth' last October and that players were tired of the boardroom and going through the motions following on from Puel. Unless players have respect and are inspired by a manager it will not work.

We were told that the club would be sold in its 'best interests' and yet i dont see one single thing from Gao that would sell a football club to him. Forget all this nonsese about china and football, Man U, Liverpool et all have all that sown up and it will never change. On 'paper' i can see that using the same staff would be appealing, but PL football is a cutthroat business and past seasons rapidly become irrelevant. Ralph Krueger was brought in by the 'ex-owner' and i dont see his head being in it now like before. Les Reed gets his credit at the time, but now hes got far too much control (it appears) and at 65 years old will be thinking of other things. Gao seems to have bought the club on the basis of league finishes from managers and players that have long gone. They are 100% reliant on the same managament and now its failing badly, nobody knows what to do.

Fans need to watch the game rather than looking at mobile phones !

I think four points were earmarked for this week and in theory that can still happen. Its my view that following the players umbrage with Claude Puel and thus the club removing it him at cost, theyre unwilling to simply rollover and do the same again. Many of the players are lost and disillusioned with Pellegrino and assistants. There is no collective bond with players and the manager and the departure of Eric Black actually made the situation worse.
-
When did Ross Wilson takeover from most of Reeds work is probably a good question.
-
Pellegrino is totally out of his depth and we dont need the media to tell us this with added on side dishes. The remit following the players ousting Claude Puel was to get someone in better and as we know Pellegrino is far worse.

Came here in 2010 and since then the club gained two promotions to the premier league and brought in allsorts of top players. Three PL top ten finishes and Euro football. Nothing lasts forever, but youre clearily wrong alongside your massive agenda.
-
Saints are relegation material because weve seen in most parts the worst 'coaching' for over a decade plus ! The football has been as bad minus VVD, so that old chestnut can be quashed. Some might say doing youre paid job correctly isnt anything to shout about ! Following Koemans departure there was a big change in ambition, i guess they wanted to have someone they could 'dictate more' and its clearly failed.
-
He wont come here ! relegation battle, poor manager, drop in wages et all
-
The media were briefed by SFC that they would get a large lump upfront as stated here by Jeremy Wilson, who we know was given the sale info by the club "Southampton wanted big chunk up front as they plan to be active in January too and want to get an attacker in quickly."
-
and numerous players !
-
I dont see much in this and to be honest its iffy ground on here to make these sort of claims, you can be sued. I agree about the conflict of interest and of course how often midas sports might have been used in transfers is another thing.

Interior upgrades have been planned for a while and nothing to do with Gao, so dont know why Krueger mentions that. It was very clear before it happened, our club has been sold to someone that has no idea, reliant on staff from previous owner. Unless we see serious changes from Gao, i want him to put the club up for sale.
