For the second year in a row Saints have been bent over double and royally screwed and us fans humiliated by the national media running circles around them. This Toby affair has shown complete and utter incompetence by SFC as its clear now that he had no interest in wanting to join for a number of weeks. Why wasnt Koeman told to say that we would not be signing him in the first media chat when everyone returned a couple of weeks back ? The club clearly cannot now make any prospective player suggest he wants to sign and it not happen. Whoever runs the media at SFC needs to be replaced ASAP with someone that has a total plan on media managament.

SFC started talking to Clyne's agent (before he was banned) around October of last year. Even going back say to 2013 he clearly would have stuck to type and turned down any contract offer. Its in his interests financially to do that a bit like Cork.

I think some of Clynes second half of last seasons loss in form was down to burnout from playing too many games.
