The football coach being 'accused' by former players was employed from the late 70s The most important part in what anyone is going to say on here is 'accused' being added because at the moment there is no court case and nobody has been found guilty of anything. In the Daily Mail yesterday a former player called Neil Kerlake made accusations and he left in 1983 or 84. So that predates the events of the late 80s.

This person was employed from the late 70s and ive seen one former player that left in 1983 make comment about grooming.

I cant remember if the original court case was in the 80s or 90s ?

Rather than the sun newspaper (which would have been a disaster) the right channels have been used. Lets hope that a case can be brought and the abuser correctly dealt with in court.

There was a convicted peadophile called Ray Barnes who was involved in local youth football right up to Hants FA. Days after he was convicted and awaiting sentence he jumped off the top floor of a car park in town.

Cortese used vibrac to do the Ramirez and Osvaldo deals and we stopped using them when Kat paid up the bill a year or so back. We now use some australian outfit and this is for cashflow between tv payments. I think we have to look at Koemans CV in that he doesnt stay anywhere long and there is no point in getting him to sign a new contract only to leave a year later. I dont think any Saints fan thought he would stay any longer than 3 seasons. Someone offering him double money would obviously be a head turner !

I think Koeman was looking after his CV and had seen two seasons of achievements and was eager to not see that get tarnished. He was swayed to join Everton because of the money involved and a fair chance of finishing top eight again to further enhance his CV. He could easily move somewhere else at the end of the season if the right offer comes along. Koeman clearly strung the whole 'signing a new deal out' as long as possible to see what was around in the close season and that turned out to be an offer from everton. Koeman is not daft he knows within just ten games now a manager could be under the pressure from the sack.
