  1. Especially on Live TV, the cable channel run by Mirror Group Newspapers in the late 90's. The weather was read by a topless Norwegian lady. Other high-brow content included "Tiffany's Big City Tips" where the presenter read the financial news whist stripping to her underwear and "Painted Ladies" where topless girls used their bodies to apply paint to large sheets of paper.
  2. Don't hold your breath. https://www.politico.eu/article/badenoch-says-no-visas-in-uk-india-trade-deal-as-talks-stall/
  3. Another one who's gone, only 56. https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-music-legend-sinad-oconnor-30560484?fbclid=IwAR2XEo6GeK_AWzT-K_hDmi-gmYiqEB9ujNXpUUqhy9DoSlZ8Gftss41_hao
  4. I found a decent stream for the Reading game apart from the non-English commentary.
  5. Just had a quick count. Of the parts of the ground that will be open there are just under 12000 tickets left. The 2 Chapel corners are both closed as are the 3 blocks at the centre of the Itchen.
  6. Perhaps he was referring to what the players were smoking last season judging by the laid-back performances of some of them.
  7. One of the few benefits of getting old is the bus pass. Use it to go to footy, no worries about parking or having a few drinks. Also use it in London , very handy to hop on and off buses as you please. Of course it all hangs on there being a decent bus service. Southampton's not too bad and London is excellent but some places have very few services if any.
  8. If you compare the weather data from Heathrow with Kew Gardens there is very little difference. Kew tends to be warmer in the winter while in the summer they are about the same.
  9. There are only 3 sports: Football, cricket and women's beach volleyball. The rest are mere games.
  10. There was a Supreme Court judgement last year that ruled that publishing accusations against an individual before they had been charged was a breach of privacy and could result in legal action.
  11. Worcs 29 for 5 after 6.2 overs. Live on YouTube
  12. The Select Car Leasing Stadium? I'm glad we've managed to avoid having a sponsor's name added on to or replacing St Marys.
  13. How about "the referee indulges in self-abuse" or "you overweight person who's parents weren't married"?
  14. There's a series of books on which the TV series is based. Well worth a read.
  15. For a minute I thought you were talking about Portsmouth.
  16. Last night's Question Time audience was selected to have significant majority of people who voted Tory at the last election. When asked how many of them supported the Rwanda Scheme, not one person supported it. Fiona Bruce sounded desperate to find someone who supported the policy but to no avail..
  17. ECML (and therefore the taxpayer) made a profit of £13m last year.
  18. Dawson 6 wickets for 23 runs.
  19. These kids today don't know they're alive. We paid 15% soon after getting our first mortgage in the mid 70's. The difference from today is that our first house, a new semi, cost about 4.5 times my salary which these days would only be about £100k - £150k, the price of a small flat.
  20. If that's the case, there's nothing stopping the school running it themselves.
  21. Not illegal but against Ground Regulations so they can kick you out if they wish. Can't see a problem if you're up the back and not blocking anyone's view, but, but you always get the occasional jobsworth.
