  4. As he's only about 3 feet tall, he wouldn't do much protecting.
  5. Averages are not much use without the standard deviation as it gives no indication of where the wage growth occurred. Not everyones wages grew by 3.5%. 9. Max Hastings (who's not exactly a leftie pinko) isn't too keen: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jun/24/boris-johnson-prime-minister-tory-party-britain
  10. But to know when the ball is kicked, he may have to look down the other end of the pitch so he can't see in two directions at the same time.
  11. There are some occasions where it is impossible for a linesman to judge an offside. If the ball is being played from deep and the kicker is near the touchline but way back down the pitch, the linesman has to turn his head virtually 90 degrees to see when the ball is kicked and there is no way that he can look across the last defender at the same time. 19. With an 8000 majority, if Farage takes votes from the Tories, the Lib Dems could profit.
  20. Tory MP Chris Davies has been booted out for fiddling his expenses. Should be an interesting by-election.

  22. It's very worrying that they get to choose the next PM.
  23. If you ever thought that the Tory membership were bonkers, the latest YouGov poll confirms it. 46% would be happy with Farage as their leader, 63% would accept Scottish independence as a price for Brexit, and 59% would take a united Ireland (so much for the "Unionist" bit of their name). Significant damage to the UK would be accepted by 61% and 54% said that the complete destruction of the Tory Party would be a price worth paying for Brexit.
  24. "Their members" being about 150000 97 year-olds.
