2 separate things. Branfoot was long gone when Lowe arrived. The Ipswich game was December '93.

I think that the argument is that as a foul was committed before the shot, the game stops at that point and what happens after doesn't count.

Roughly £12m to pay off Russell and his team. According to Adam Blackmore, that takes us close to our FFP limit. So no new players in January without selling first and no buying a new manager out of his contract. That leaves us with managers who are out of work and won't mind having a relegation on their CV.

In terms of a comprehensive win over top opposition, one of the best games that I saw at The Dell. Liverpool were on fire that season. Won the league by 9 points scoring 78 goals with a goal difference of 41. But we took them to the cleaners with Kenny Dalglish saying that it could have been 8-1.

Croatia v Scotland live on YouTube now. Adams on the bench for Scotland, Caleta-Car playing for Croatia. Orsic also on the bench fro Croatia.

Also, when he was a nipper, he lived opposite my Uncle in King George's Avenue.

Good news for Labour. Cleverly had the broadest appeal to the wider population Badenoch could start a fight in an empty room and Crooked Bob has the sort of face that you'd like to punch. When was the last time that a leader of the defeated party won the next election (Wilson in '74?).

Remember going there in '98. It was mid-October and we had 1 point ( a draw against Spurs). Bergkamp scored for them and David Howells equalised. We stayed up by 5 points helped by the unforgettable game at Selhurst Park against Wimbledon.

Just came across this article on "The Floating Toilet": https://www.theguardian.com/football/2007/apr/25/newsstory.sport2?utm_term=66f2d77fc2a13da6c90adb00f7bcfc6f&utm_campaign=TheFiver&utm_source=esp&utm_medium=Email&CMP=fiver_email

Former Saints reporter for the old Football Echo (The Pink). His death was announced at half-time yesterday. In the pre-internet days the Footy Echo was required reading on a Saturday evening. I grew up in Romsey and used go with my dad to the newsagent and it was usually there by 7.00pm. In later years used to do the same with my son until they moved it to Sunday and, not long after, it ceased publication. I always found Bob's reports to be a bit through rose-tinted glasses. We'd get stuffed 0-3 at home and the headline would be "Unlucky Saints".

Said to hear of the death of Gary Shaw who has died following a fall at the age of 63. I'm sure that many of us will remember his partnership with Peter Withe in the successful Villa side of the early 80's. Won the league and the European Cup but a year later suffered a knee injury that ended his top-flight career.

In 2012 it was 4 losses and 14 goals conceded but Adkins was given until January when he was starting to turn things round.

You're right. I've been in the Chapel for years and, going by the first 2 games, the old Northam end seemed to make more noise that the current one. Maybe because the old lot were dedicated singers whereas the new imports aren't as vocal.

EPL quality mangers who are available will have been sacked from their previous jobs. It''ll probably cost us at least £10m to sack Martin and his team. We've had worse starts (1998 - 1 point by the middle of Qctober having conceded 21 goals) so I think that they'll give until Christmas to see if things improve.

If you think that some people on here are weird, you should try MENSA.

Stop sitting on the fence and tell us what you really think.

I see that the sentencing of a 12-year-old boy charged for 2 counts of disorder in Manchester, has been delayed because his mum has gone off to Ibiza. "The judge thanked the boy's uncle for accompanying his nephew to court in his mother's absence, but added: "One day before the hearing we find out the mum has gone on holiday and is not with her son who played a greater part in the recent civil disorder than any adult or child I've seen coming through these courts. "...I will require a full explanation from mum on her decision to go on holiday one day before her 12-year-old son comes to court facing a potential custodial sentence".

We're no strangers to slow starts. I remember taking my nipper to his first away game at Highbury in mid October '98. We had the grand total of 1 point and had conceded 21 goals and scored 3. We managed a 1-1 draw (Berkamp for them and Howells for us) and then things slowly improved.

Do they still teach cooking in schools? Back in the 60's it was called Domestic Science and I remember the girls coming back to class with delicious-looking pies and cakes which they didn't let us taste.

Tommy sent this to his dim supporters. What he didn't tell them was Mr Notley was out on licence having served half of his 20-year sentence for drug smuggling and had a long criminal record. Do you think that this might have influenced the sentence?

If we couldn't beat them when we had the best manager in Europe, we're going to really struggle this time.
