There was study by the LSE that used education attainment data for each of the the 348 voting districts in England and Wales to predict the voting outcome. In 91% of the districts they correctly classified the outcome based on the the proportion of degree-level voters. Adding other factors such as age, socio-economic status, ethnicity and sex only improved the results by a point or two.
