  1. Armstrong was incredibly good today. His pace is surprising, one of those players who seems quicker when he's on the ball.
  2. Forster; KWP, Vestergaard, Salisu, Bertrand; Diallo, JWP; Armstrong, Djenepo; Tella, Adams. Bournemouth have a fair few injuries which is a bonus but Danjuma and Solanke are both in pretty good form so need to be wary of those two.
  3. That's the team I'd select.
  4. I agree with this. We're such a soft touch. You look at players like Bertrand, Bednarek, JWP, Redmond, Minamino, even Ings and Adams at times. None of them show any guts or fight when the going gets tough. JWP is definitely not a captain - good player, but not a captain. Ralph clearly gives a damn which seperates him from a lot of the players, it's more his tactical side which seems to be failing at present.
  5. I'd hazard a guess that Ralph will be here as long as we don't go down. Probably due to finances as well as having the full backing of Martin Semmens. Personally I think he needs to be more flexible with his game plans. We're so predictable, especially when chasing a game - we just seem to run out of ideas and pass the ball around on the half way line. I'm still behind Ralph but that opinion might well be different depending on how/where we finish this season.
  6. He was awful today tbf
  7. Bednarek is having a poor spell and needs a bit of time out of the side in my opinion. Bertrand not great today but isn't getting much support. I think Diallo is playing well though.

    Che Adams

    That's a much fairer analysis..
  9. McCarthy's confidence has well and truly gone. Forster now clear No. 1 in my opinion.

    Che Adams

Has he been nailing your missus or something? Seems like you have a genuine dislike for him.
  11. I agree with those saying rest KWP and Armstrong. Both have struggled with games in quick succession and are our two most important players. I'd almost be tempted to play Djenepo at right back to be honest.

    Che Adams

Absolutely brilliant strike today. He's our best striker at passing and holding it up. He may not be a natural goalscorer but he does do a lot of good things for the team.

Completely agree. N'Lundulu has held it up well when he's come on but I can't see anything else there to suggest he'll make it as a premier league player. He must be 22 now? Is he past the age of being young, hungry and guaranteed to improve?
  14. I'd definitely have a look at Robinson from Fulham. Looks a very good player especially going forwards.
  15. The Bournemouth fans I've spoken to think he is awful.
  16. Probably worth resting our best players for that City game. It's a write off for most teams at the moment, let alone one that has 1 point from a possible 27.
  17. Huge game coming up on Saturday. I think we need two more wins to be safe. If we don't get one here then serious questions need to be asked. Forster; KWP, Vestergaard, Bednarek, Bertrand; Diallo, JWP; Armstrong, Minamino/Djenepo; Tella, Ings.
  18. Armstrong aside that was a shocking 85 minutes. We actually looked half decent for the last 10 but unsurprisingly a lack of composure cost us. I certainly wouldn't be bothered if Redmond didn't put a Saints shirt on again - how many opportunities has he had? Time to ship him out.
  19. Tella is miles better than Redmond
  20. Nathan Redmond and Che Adams have been nothing short of disgraceful tonight.
  21. Not a fan of playing Bednarek and Armstrong out of position again. I'd rather it was a 3-5-2 but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Personally think that Tella did enough vs Leeds to earn another start.
  22. I could see Stephens doing a job as a CDM in a midfield 3, but not in a 2 when both CM's need to be mobile and be able to win the ball back high up the pitch. His passing and awareness are both generally poor and would rather see Jankewitz given another shot.
  23. Similarly to us, they spent their money very poorly. Eddie Howe did a good job there, you've only got to look at how disjointed they are this season. Yes they might be sixth but according to their fans they are very lucky to still be in a half decent position.
  24. Very true. Some rather odd suggestions being put forward here. Not surprising though.
  25. Every time Armstrong has played in CM for us we have leaked goals left, right and centre. He is very good in the number 10 role but he isn't good enough defensively to play any deeper.
