Sounds good but very unlikely. Cannot see us spending that amount this season. Also if you read the Italian article it says that the player isn't interested in playing in the Championship.
-
Exactly, for me it's nonsense. If you look at his time with us so far he isn't really an "impact player". He seems to do better with a run of games rather than coming off the bench. As you say, he wasn't really starting in Oct/Nov and he just wasn't as effective.

Tbh Leeds deserved to win that. Preston are a poor side and anything other than a Leeds win would've been an unexpected bonus.
-
Agreed. Apart from that 20 minute spell we were the better team by far for 70 minutes. Just because they finished the stronger team doesn't mean they deserved to win. Overall a 6-3 win would've been fair!
-
Not sure why they are playing Norwich next Wednesday, it seems to be the only Championship game being played.
-
I heard it was being likened to Cantona's return FFS
-
His long range passing is very accurate as well to be fair. I would say his all round passing ability is quite out of the ordinary for a keeper. Everything else not quite so much..
-
Felt like we had 10 men for the last 20 mins anyway tbf
-
He's certainly improved from the start of the season. A quick word for Che, his passing/creativity as a centre forward is really really good. Still think it's a shame we are going to lose him in the summer.
-
I've seen some people blaming him for the goal. If he doesn't come out and try to get the ball then Lowe has a free header 8 yards out. So I don't think you can put much of the blame on him for that. At the end of the day it was offside and handball.

I don't think you've got to be as good as VVD to be able to play basic passes to your team mates...
-
I would totally get it if he was walking a tight rope, but given that Martin seems to be bringing Stephens on in every game, I think it's because he feels he has to involve him. Just waiting for LD to join the thread and call me an idiot now.
-
Yeah, the yellow card thing is a load of rubbish. It's not like THB was fouling people left, right and centre and likely to be sent off. The bigger risk is bringing off one of the best CB's in the league for an average player who is known to have big mistakes in him.
-
Swansea have looked relatively decent at home as of late. Still, a game we should/need to be winning.
-
KWP seems to be enjoying it this season. I very much doubt he is pushing to leave in January. I've got no doubt the club will let him go in the summer if an acceptable bid comes in.
-
You certainly don't want to be going to Elland Road on the last day needing a win.
-
Yeah, got no issue with his creativity. He just isn't that great at defending. Which when you're in a team as good as ours in an ok league, you can largely get away with. If we got promoted though he would really get shown up. He's basically another Danny Fox.

Apparently Diallo isn't being loaned to the Championship. Gone very quiet on Brooks. Maybe Bournemouth want to keep him.

We have the same stadium as Leicester and they have their away fans exactly where we should.

Phil Parsons: “The feedback to St Mary’s changes has been mixed but I’ve learned you’ll never please everyone in this job. By doing this, we can reopen a lot of the seats we have had to shut. I think this is the right thing for the club.” Phil Parsons: “Russell Martin and others have told me a few times about how loud the away fans are. We are looking at a space where the away fans don’t get an advantage over our team.”
-
Exactly. The people who sit next to the away fans in the Northam/Itchen can't actually hear that the away fans are so much noisier than they are and claim there is nothing wrong with the atmosphere as it is. The club clearly knows the atmosphere is shite otherwise they wouldn't have bothered. I support this even if it's just to get the away fans into a corner/side.

Squad if we sign another attacker and no one else left - Bazunu, Lumley, McCarthy. KWP, Bree. Manning, Meghoma. THB, Bednarek, Stephens, Holgate. Downes, Charles, Smallbone, S.Armstrong, Alcaraz, Rothwell, Aribo. Fraser, Edozie, Sulemena, Benson, A.Armstrong, Adams, Mara. That's 25 players. Plus promising youngsters SAA and Dibling. At least 2 players per position. I've discounted Larios and Stewart because it's unlikely they are going to play again this season. If we do sign Benson that'll be 6 loanees and we are only allowed 5 in a match day squad. Would we leave one out each week or look to terminate one of them?
-
We don't even have a left footed attacker in the squad (bar SAA who is good prospect but clearly not there yet) so surely he'd be a good alternative?
