I would have Perraud as first choice if he was here. Martin couldn't wait to get rid of him though so he could bring in his best mate.

From what I've seen, Meghoma is actually our best left back.

If Martin doesn't get us up this season, do you think he should he be sacked? Given that is the clubs expectation. Given we are actually getting worse as the season has gone on and the fact we would almost certainly have an inferior team next season, I can't see how he'd be able to continue.

Russell Martin has passionately defended Jack Stephens and his role for #SaintsFC. “I hope that by the end of the season he will be appreciated for what he is, instead of looking at him as a centre-half who isn’t playing there." But he is a centre half Russell? Stephens has been playing ok but this isn't about how good he is, it's about how him playing in this made up role has totally unbalanced the side. Martin is just so defensive.

We all know AA it's totally useless upfront. Why did he drop Adams? Ridiculous decisions yet again from the manager.
-
I think we will finish 6th.
-
Let's be honest. If we go up with Martin in charge we will get bent over backwards every week. Maybe it's for the best.
-
Seems like Martin has possibly had a falling out with KWP? Saying that when he comes back into the side "at some point" it will be fantastic. Unless he's playing mind games, surely KWP should be in the 11 every day of the week?

For me Aribo should be in the side every week. Overall he is a much better player than Smallbone.

If no one is guaranteed a place then I expect to see Lumley in goal on Saturday. (It won't happen)

I wouldn't bother trying to reason with Fabrice. Even though you are 100% correct.
-
What so we can outplay them and lose in the last minute again? This side is not set up to win one off matches.
-
Biggest match of the season and you bench your best player. Make it make sense.
-
Football is all about what you do in both boxes. We can't defend and we waste far too many chances when we get them. Martin is more concerned about how we play rather than just getting the job done.
-
He should've saved the second tbh
-
I'd get rid of him before the play offs. We can't win the big games under this guy.
-
It's working really well.
-
Unfortunately Martin is incredibly stubborn with these tactics.
-
I didn't see it but clearly he had a poor game in that respect. It happens. Generally it's been decent though.
-
Did KWP have anyone behind him? Probably good CF play. Get into the space where neither CB is anywhere near you.
-
We have a big problem up top. Adams clearly not the answer to scoring goals but we have no one else who can actually play up top on their own. No doubt Mara is a better finisher but his hold up play is non existent, very much like Armstrong who has performed much better out wide. But we've had this problem for years and it's ultimately why we are where we are.
-
We can probably count him out of the starting 11 on Friday then. Guessing it'll be Edozie or Sulemena to replace him given Fraser has only just started training again.
-
Seen some people saying Brooks was limping as he came off
-
This is the problem Martin has. When we've veered away from our best 11 we've looked very disjointed and now we've probably got to win every game, we can't afford to be disjointed. On the other hand with a game every 3/4 days there's inevitably going to be some rotation. Hopefully he doesn't over do it.

Bazunu; KWP, THB, Bednarek, Bree; Downes, Smallbone, Armstrong; Brooks, AA, Adams. That's my side but I'm certainly expecting Manning and Stephens to be in the starting 11. Players like Smallbone, Brooks, Bednarek, THB, Stu and Adams are all likely to be playing tomorrow night, so it'll be interesting to see if RM goes for a slightly different side.
