Very disappointing. Poor overall performance and no fluidity. That said, I would take defeat to Stoke if it means a win over Spurs.

Exactly that. I found it curious we were even getting odds on him being here.

Apparently leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and amongst others, he is 33/1 to be at Southampton..... 15/8 - Man City 11/2 - Real Madrid 6/1 - Arsenal 6/1 - Liverpool 7/1 - Barcelona 10/1 - Chelsea 10/1 - Bayern Munich 12/1 - Man United 17/1 - Everton 33/1 - Southampton 33/1 - Atletico Madrid 45/1 - Newcastle 45/1 - West Ham

Got to agree. Fair play to the guy and hope he does well but the sycophantic media bull**** that surrounds him and everything he does is tiresome now and will only become more so. They have jumped on the Kane hype like flies on a turd and are nauseating in their syrupy brown nosing. Let him get on, develop as a player, see how he performs after more than one season and stop drenching the rest of us in your drool.

Rodriguez given the all-clear and set to return next month

It's because we're Southampton. Perennial underachievers and should simply not be anywhere near the top six or, heaven forbid, a European place. Those places are already reserved for 'bigger' clubs don't you know. Most commentators or pundits are living in denial of the fact we might finish ahead of those wonderful money spinning media luvvies who have a divine right to the top places in the league.

Hate to say it and never have wanted a United win but I hope they give Liverpool a right shafting. The media bo11ocks surrounding that nauseating turd Rodgers has been stomach churning and a massive fall back to earth would be gratifying.

Lol! Gerrard subbed on for Lallana and sent straight off within seconds! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Kicking a football in a football match? Tut tut. Who'd have thought it?

Dislocated knee. Done it three times myself and felt that.

Oh bugger....

This all day long. Can't see the point of wanting the team to do well and then not want them to do that well. I would quite happily buy you a 60p pint Sir!

I guess finishing below Liverpool will be the disappointment factor of what has been an exceptional season. As Saints fans we're conditioned to accept some form of disappointment in a season and I suppose this is it. A blot on an otherwise outstanding campaign but there's still time and games to do something about it.

Three nil United.

Was unsure what result I was going to hope for from United/Spurs but now I hope United give them a shafting. United will drop points in their next games and it might signal the wheels coming off Pochettino's wagon and instil some doubt. Plus the fact my in laws are Tottenham supporters and always say Saints 'were lucky' every time we win or get a result.

United two up now.....

He doesn't inspire confidence to anyone watching in the smae way MLT and RL did but he managed to scrape the ball home. I was thinking Long or Schneiderlin would've been the taker today.

One of the best games this season from a neutral point of view. From a Saints fan's perspective it was a nail biting, nerve jangling 90 minutes that had the spectre of missed first half chances coming to haunt us but fair play to the team, a much improved performance compared to recent weeks. Hard to choose a MOTM because everyone put in a decent shift barring substitutes but Schneiderlin or Mane for me. Forster had a superb game and made some great saves as did Courtois which says a lot about the game. Didn't really see the point of JWP for the final stint but we didn't concede so it worked out alright and was hoping Djuricic could've made some defence threatening runs. Back four were solid but allowing Costa in for the header was a lapse in concentration by Alderwiereld who hopefully will get back on form with more match time under his belt. As good a result as this was, we need to consolidate it now with three points against Burnley or else this magnificent performance will have been in vain.

Got to say the ref today against Chelsea had a great game. Perhaps should've shown a second yellow to Matic but he was otherwise fair and kept the game flowing.

Looks more like Justin Biebherr.

There was a white Porsche outside St Mary's on Tuesday night with a 'Prowse' number plate. I can't remember the exact order of numbers and letters.

Who drives the yellow Ferrari with the registration CEO 4 TAG?

One slightly positive spin is that our poor run must come to and end and Palace's good run must also come to an end......

Can't make up my mind whether to laugh out loud, smirk quietly or just sit with an overwhelming look of smugness at the poetic justice that has befallen the turd called Lovren. Lovren dumps Liverpool out of Europe. Can't get much better after the weekend.
