  1. Absolutely no interest in England until they actually start achieving something. That will happen sometime never while you have failures like Rooney in the team.
  2. Guy I used to work with buys two Arsenal season tickets every year. One he uses and the other he sells each game so that he can afford to buy tickets next year. It's the only way he can afford to watch the team he loves. This is what happens when prices rise beyond the means of most football fans.
  3. It really is staggeringly mind blowing at just how delusional your average skate really is. It's almost like there's some sort of reality filter installed on the M275 that disconnects them from the rest of the world. And why this obsession with 'we're a bigger club than you'? It's an utterly fantastical argument that has no basis in reality whatsoever, and it certainly has nothing to do with what matters - results on the pitch. Ok so due to utterly criminal mismanagement they have ended up in league Two. But it's their continued poor performance that has kept them there. They were big on the south coast once - over 60 years ago. They aren't anymore. Now they are bottom half championship at best, more like league one. With the rise of Bournemouth, Brightons continued success and other clubs coming up like Eastleigh they will never be what they once were all that time ago. The wished for investment just isn't going to happen, especially with the stadium where it currently is. Anyone insane enough to want to buy them would be effectively starting from scratch to get them anywhere above league one. Never going to happen.
  4. God, but the point of having a chant is so we can sing it to them across the terraces..... Thats not going to be happening for quite some time really
  5. Osvaldo wasn't a defector. Just defective. In the head.
  6. Please don't make me type another chapter of Mr Allens mills and boone epic tragi-drama romance based amid the terror of a stadium falling down. I've only just got over the last lot. *twitch*
  7. Of the many things they probably do to it, 'prepared' is probably very far down the list...... As for their title winning charge this season, are they really going to fail.... Again?
  8. Tbh it shouldn't be that bad unless some numpty decides to have an accident. OR SIT IN THE MIDDLE F*CKING LANE AT 40 AND FLATLY REFUSE TO MOVE OVER BECAUSE HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE HIGHWAY CODE DESPITE IT BEING COMPLETELY wolfoOBVIOUS HE IS HOLDING UP EVERYONE ELSE. Ahem.... It's not really that bad and does tend to flow, just slows around J3 for Bagshot and running up to j2 for the M25. At that time of day you aren't really saving anything by cutting up to the M4 at Basingstoke and you could actually stitch yourself up doing this if the M4 is slow because that can be worse than the m3 currently is.
  9. Coming a bit late to this but I wouldn't touch the Amazon job with a very long barge pole. You will be working very, very hard for that money and if you are running your own van you will be paying all of its maintenance costs, insurance, mot etc - 17ppm falls a long way short of covering that. Tbh just read that forum that was linked it will tell you everything you need to know
  10. Nope, keep him well away from that shambles. Chances are he'd just get injured and spend another couple of months on the sidelines.
  11. A good performance as far as I'm concerned. I find it quite annoying to watch us pass back to Forster from the edge of their penalty box but en I just have to remind myself that we are actually keeping possession and just working it around calmly until something breaks for us. Having said that, Cedric had a couple of silly passes which nearly gifted Swansea. Tadic needs to be sure someone is there when he does yet another back heel. Romeu was a rock in midfield, Martina did well when he came on playing in front of Cedric. Redmond..... He's just not big enough to boss other players, works far better running at the defence or onto a through ball. Having said that I just don't get how or why anyone would hold the ball up when they are one on one with the keeper. That was frustrating and it wasn't just Redmond doing it. Was it me or did they change to 4-3-3 at the end?
  12. Is it time to start wondering if they are going to fail promotion AGAIN?
  13. If I had my way, a hearty slap and a total ban on jeans that don't fit properly. (And because I'm a complete git I'd also insist on the jeans being properly ironed with creases down the front)
  14. Well you know..... That's why football clubs have a financial plan which gets changed when required to enable the club to cope with outside influences that effect income.
  15. It's very circular tbh, we all know that they should be walking League Two with the resources they apparently command and yet we keep coming back to 'oh they failed again' Very entertaining
  16. Tbh the quality of the ref is irrelevant if you just keep on banging it in the net. However the whole 'the ref saw it but took no action so we can't either' is utter tosh - foul play should be dealt with properly either during the game by the ref or after(depending on how bad it was of course) by the authorities. If should also then be properly reported so that everyone knows, and any punishments should properly reflect the severity of the incident and applied in a way that brings the lesson home to the player. the whole video replay argument is dead - loads of sports around the world use video technology to back the ref up without it affecting the game. As far as I'm concerned, putting this in would just get rid of a lot of the Bulls!t behaviour we see every week. My favourite example being the utter ****spanner Rivaldo in the 2002 World Cup when the ball was kicked at him, hitting his leg and he went down clutching his face - I'd like to see a player try that with video technology in the game.
  17. To be honest it is the source of a rather large amount of humour for us. Can you not explain to them that we wouldn't take the p!ss so much if they weren't so delusional?
  18. Has Fonte gone yet? No? Ok I'll check back in the next transfer window
  19. You don't. The service is free and will always be so. You cannot ever make that distinction on the basis that someone has made a dumb choice (no matter how many times) Something similar happened with a guy who insisted on sailing with just a road atlas for navigation a few years back - he just kept on doing it. Can't remember the full story so I can't remember if they did anything about him to stop it happening again
  20. Is he going? Not yet then. Ok I'll check back later
  21. Well, can't win them all. Just so long as no one is having a meltdown 2 games into the season......
  22. Delusional to extreme levels.
  23. There is nothing of worth there. Nothing. The stadium needs complete redevelopment and, due to being landlocked by Tesco cannot be realistically increased in size Do they own the training ground? Or rent it? There's no assets of real worth anywhere in the club The squad is comprised of has beens and lower league journeymen I stops they could sell the FA cup they nicked.....
  24. Has he gone yet? No? Ok I'll check back in a couple of days
  25. Has he gone yet? No? Ok, let me know if he does
