  1. Better. But it needs to be repeated and improved upon before I forgive Puel for allowing us to drop out of the Europa League. What was with those god awful songs about saints? And also, second time they've run out of hot dogs 5 minutes into halftime. Try explaining to a 6 year old that he's not going to be getting the hotdog you've been promising all day.
  2. It just the timing, how do you think the response would be if we hadn't lost to palace (who lost their previous 5or 6) and been knocked out of the Europa by a no Mark team from the Middle East?
  3. Don't care when it was recorded, timing is wrong. If this was an attempt at cheering the fans up, judging by the comments on Facebook and here then it has failed. Football clubs should always stay a million miles away from music - it's not a good thing. Most of the comments I'm seeing are the same - stop ******ing about and get on with your jobs, no one is interested in anything other than seeing better performances.
  4. Have to disagree, our recruitment is excellent at discovering players with potential that the club then nurtures and develops, producing an excellent player. The problem is that we don't keep them. Just look at any 'what if' team you care to think of. i get the whole 'we can't afford the wages' argument, to me that is just a problem to be challenged and resolved. There's enough money washing around to make it work.
  5. I don't give a flying fV€k who he plays. The team have simply got to win this game. No excuses.
  6. After tonight's display do you seriously believe we can get a result against Liverpool if we play like that again? Mané will have seen this and must be rubbing his hands in delight and considering trying to beat his hat trick record.
  7. I am absolutely spitting with rage. Right from kick off we were awful. Players just standing around watching the play, no one running, making space for the pass. Absolutely no runners into the box from midfield. Austin looked knackered before he kicked the ball. Redmond...... seriously this is now a major issue. Makes lovely little runs on the ball, ties the defender up in knots and then F£CKING STANDS STILL ON THE EDGE OF THE BOX LOOKING TO PASS only there's no b@$tard to pass to because all the midfield are sitting back waiting to pass the ball back to Forster so he can have another go at slicing it into the directors box. Note for Claude: I watched this happen at least FIVE TIMES tonight. Either Redmond needs to p!ss off and leave the ball alone or the midfield need to be flooding the box because there's knack all point crossing to Austin when he's got three defenders crawling all over him. If this doesn't change, the f£cking skates will be back in the PL before we ever work a goal through Redmond. Ifs all very nice wanting to keep possession and play this tippy tappy rubbish but it won't work if players off the ball don't actually move and create passing options. Southampton are a premiership side. That means players should know their position and the job required, and be able to make a decent attempt at every other position on the pitch. There is enough money available that the quality of players bought should be a cut above the rest. Shrugged shoulders, players pointing out to other players where they should be standing etc are completely unacceptable at this level. I don't give a flying brass monkeys left nut what is going on with Fonte - he is paid to do a job and tonight he should have been on the pitch doing it. No excuses. Possession football.... no damn good if we aren't getting results from it. I completely get why the ball is worked up one side and then comes back because nothing is on. BUT THAT IS ALL THAT WILL HAPPEN IF PLAYERS DONT MAKE RUNS INTO THE BOX. Yet again the opposition have had one shot on target, got the goal and Yet again another major result goes against Saints. Possession is less than useless if this is the result. **** off..
  8. On the whole I would prefer it if we won this one
  9. Need the stadium to be bouncing like it was for Inter
  10. It constantly amazes me that the thought of all that glory hasn't got players banging on the rickety wooden pallet they use as a door at the kipper shed.
  11. Turned off in disgust after the second goal. Can't stand it when we give away the ball too easily and the opposition score from it. Nothing more to say, I'm sure the players will be sorting it out this week.
  12. I seem to remember them pleading some sort of special case, no doubt linked to them being the bestest ever or something
  13. Is it on to?
  14. I find it curious that the story about them having someone interested in buying surfaced at the same time as the story about Katarina talking to the Chinese
  15. The biggest joke being their silly belief that they own the club
  16. What total tosh. Every team everywhere turns up to win unless the disparity between the teams is so great that you know you are going to be outclassed. For an example of this, think of the smaller teams who qualify for the Rugby World Cup for example. They will go into a match against a top tier side like the All Blacks with a game plan such as 'score one try', 'limit their score below 30 points' etc because they know they just won't win so they concentrate on what is achieveable. For any skate to believe this applies to them in their THIRD SEASON in League Two is unreal. They must have their head stuffed so far up their rectum their Adam's apple must smack them in the forehead every time they swallow. It's just excuse making because the reality is far harder to deal with - they are just a small team on the south coast who were big when the Navy were in town 60 years ago but aren't any more. The eight years they managed in the noughties we're actually just a blip achieved by bent owners spending way above the clubs means.
  17. Well at least we know what login Factless Allen uses on here now.......
  18. Cook isn't very good at PR is he
  19. Very, very impressed with Josh on his debut. I was screaming for him to take the ball on when he made that break and maybe with a bit more game time under his belt he would have done. I know there were defenders tracking back however his pace and willingness to go forward really caused some problems for Everton. Fully deserved his standing ovation and I really hope we see more of him. I thought the team as a whole played incredibly well, Virgil was an absolute monster in both attack and defence, Oriol the same. They both weren't letting Everton get away with anything. I also thought the Ref was very good (although some of the holding from Everton was verging on the ridiculous at times) THIS is the kind of performance we want to see more of (with a few more goals please)
  20. There's that 'community owned' thing again......
  21. There's only one thing I want to see and that's more shots that test the keeper. Playing with all this possession is fine but it is utterly wasted if it doesn't end with a shot target that the keeper has to stretch to keep out. 12 shots last night of which 3 were on target is unacceptable from a top ten premier league side (which people keep saying we are) What is worse is that it's not just last night - it's happening pretty much every game we play. Puel absolutely has to get those strikers shooting and scoring.
  22. Won't happen. Saints are not th kind of club he would end up at. Plus if it did happen and he scored at St Mary's. I'd get ejected from the ground for attempting to snap his arms off if he did that stupid dance after scoring. And I'm not having that.
  23. That period of time as completely hilarious
  24. Rest assured that skate is in the minority. And how else do you think TCWTB got the title?
  25. Don't care how we did it, not losing to the bindippers a good result. Possibly a bit of luck involved with them missing some sitters but at least we didn't gift them anything. I'm not worried about the lack of opportunities at the other end - the goals will come. The team defended against a very aggressive attack today and didn't concede.
