Our On-the-Beach mentality is a f**king disgrace
Mr Biscuits replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
The issue for me is that it is looking increasingly likely that our only achievement after such as fantastic season is avoiding relegation. Finishing 7th is great but if we don't get something from the last two matches, we won't even get that (depending on how Swansea do) This has lead to quite a bit of frustration for me. I'm dead proud of what our team has achieved this season however I am left with a huge sense of 'what could have been'. I'm left feeling that Clyne stopped playing for us as soon as the transfer rumours started. Still, my club, I support them fully. Ron still gets my full support. Players will go, I will wish some of them aren't going but that's the nature of football these days. We've completely gone against what pretty much every pundit said we would. I just wish we could have done that little bit more - a cup or European Qualification by right. -

Post-Match Reaction: Leicester City 2-0 SAINTS
Mr Biscuits replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I think it's all been said by everyone else. So horribly frustrating to watch our fantastic season fizzle out. If we were to qualify for Europa I would have dad preferred to do so on our own merit rather than because other results went our way. Annoyed. But then Leicester had more to play for than we did.... I once challenged a young lady who I worked with to explain how her decision to follow his advice and not vote would cause change on the basis that systems can only truly be changed from within. Within a minute she had reduced herself to tears and stormed from the room. I wasn't even trying.

When I saw our run in at the start of the season I was rubbing my hands in anticipation. Now?

I would say hall of mirrors, but they would only make your average skate look normal

Well a brief browse through the literary masterpiece that is his Twitter account suggests to me that he is a mouthy attention whore with absolutely no respect for anyone. I have always said that the main problem with the Internet is that it allows the stupid to have a voice and here we have a perfect example of it.

Oh well that's it then. He's used statistics. There is nothing I can do. Oh hang on..... Maybe I should just look at the facts.

I had to chuckle last night when the commentators on Solent were talking about Whatmough possibly playing for the Cherries and how that's not going to happen now they are in the PL.

My sarcasm detector just exploded

Only the skates would be so petty as to try and celebrate that. Tbh it strikes me that they do this because they have absolutely nothing else to hold on to. Their poor decision making as condemned them to a stadium that is falling apart, with in chance of proper redevelopment any time soon now there is a large structure next door, effectively locking hem in. The squad needs at least one season probably two of development before they can think of promotion and even then the small stadium limits their revenue. I said it back then and I stand by my words - they would have been better off folding and starting again outside the league. Instead they chose to jump through loopholes, wriggling their way out of paying their creditors all to keep 'league status' as if that actually means something. They bang on about 'history' as if that somehow means they are worth more somehow. The whole idea of a 'silent' massive pool of untapped fans is an utter phallacy- they believe the sound bites from the media where the odd player or manager has mentioned the noise at the kipper shed (don't forget this will go if it gets redeveloped because of the physical layout of the new ground just like the difference between the Dell and St Mary's. It's pathetic. I know plenty of skate fans and most of them despair of the rabid minority who believe the hype peddled by the local media and the numpties currently running the place. I've got a notion that the money is going to run out again soon- the hnw's are not a bottomless pit and they are going to be back beyond square one. There is no millionaire waiting in the wings to save them - there's nothing worth saving.

They bought lambert to entice the others.

No, apparently their greatest achievement is a draw.

I tell you what, if they manage to get fourth place, they will all be insufferable and Rogers will act as if that was his plan all along like the smug **** he is

I'm sure I heard a stat yesterday that he is something like the first Liverpool manager since the '50's to go three seasons without winning silverware. Not sure about this though since I've convinced myself that they won something recently but I can't remember what exactly. I also can't be arsed to waste my time looking It up tbh However I do agree, he is a total w*nker. I cherish a fervent hope that we somehow pull it out of the bag and finish above them this season after his comments about us last summer. I also am truly sick and tired of the press circle jerk over Liverpool this season. It was clear that Suarez was the reason they did so well up until last season.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
Mr Biscuits replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Always amuses me when people believe anything printed in the media. These are private companies who serve their own interests (read: we'll present as the truth whatever the highest bidder/our owner wants us to print) Save yourself the energy and wait. If it happens, the club will have to find a replacement. (And anyone who thinks they aren't already planning to replace players this summer then they are mental) if he doesn't go, quite a few people on this thread will have wasted a lot of Internet rage for nothing. Chill out, enjoy the sunshine and know that the club have their targets and will push to achieve them. Unlike the muppets at Kippershed Utd down the road who haven't got a clue, our owners are quite clear on what they want and quietly go about the job of achieving it with none of tub thumping you see from other clubs in the PL. Just don't forget that the club policy is to not discuss transfers. That is not going to change so the media have to make things up because they need drama to sell their papers. -
I'd like to see every saints fan at the stadium treating THE GREAT BETRAYER DAMN HIM AND ALL HIS CHILDREN FOR ETERNITY BUT I'M COMPLETELY OVER IT NOW with contempt and just ignoring him. Instead singing and yelling their hearts out for our team. We've done the booing thing plenty of times and it usually results in our team losing. In fact twitchy used to specifically try to wind our fans up every time he came here to create that toxic atmosphere. Our teams have never performed well in matches where a player or manager has come back and the fans spent the game concentrating on that manager/player rather than supporting our team.

Post-Match Reaction: Stoke City 2-1 SAINTS
Mr Biscuits replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I f*cking hate not winning games against Stoke. I also f*cking hate Clattenburg who never gives Saints anything However I can't complain about the season we have had, it's been fantastic. -
I can quite honestly (and with a fair amount of relief) confirm the I am quite categorically not Glasgow. I used to post on the Daily Echo site as Stroppy Gramps, still do occasionally (but not for some time since I changed my job)

Here's a horrible thought that occurred to me as I listened to Newcastle capitulate against the bindippers tonight....... We might end up above Spurs, last game of the season, based on our result City or Liverpool will get Champions League. Would you be happy beating City knowing that that smug arse Rogers would benefit next season?
-
F*CK ME WE'RE SO HIGH IN THE TABLE I'VE GOT A NOSEBLEED I DON'T CARE WHERE WE FINISH BUT IT HAS BEEN A LOT OF FUN TAKING THE MICKEY OUT OF ALL THE PLASTIC BINDIPPERS I KNOW IN SURREY THIS SEASON. WHO DO I PRAY TO FOR US TO FINISH ABOVE THEM THIS SEASON FOR ADDED COMEDY VALUE? Oh look I'm shouting

So, MOTD say we played well and the fans say we were ****e...
Mr Biscuits replied to swannymere's topic in The Saints
I thought we played well however losing 1-0 with only two shots on target all game says it all. We're back to the 'just f**king shoot!' Issue of a couple of seasons ago. Pelle is a good player but he seems to be missing the confidence he showed at the start of the season and he needs to get it back.
