  1. There is a small difference between a club receiving massive investment from a new billionaire owner and what the gamble those clowns are making down the road. They are betting big this season and despite the gate receipts (which I personally don't think are that great) they need to go up because there's nothing left in the piggy bank. They need.huge investments on the ground alone let alone anything else.
  2. Totally for it. The amount of money wasted on people with incurable diseases is ridiculous. If they could give a lucid answer most of them would probably ask to die anyway
  3. Just needs time to gel. We'll be fine
  4. Saving 'the mostest longesterest sufferingest fans in the world ever. FACT' for next season after they fail heroically to go up
  5. Why don't you do us all a favour and stop wasting oxygen?
  6. What is it about Saints sides in the run up to half time? We keep on conceding goals in this time period. So farking annoying
  7. Is it on radio Solent tonight?
  8. Media campaign against Southampton again is it?

  10. On the wiki isn't it?
  11. In my pants in the middle of my front room with beer, snacks and a small towel in easy reach for spillages when I jump up and down.
  12. One thing. I shouldn't have really done this because it's actually quite sad and only the sort of thing a skate would do to prove an argument, but I looked up the attendance for that game. It was 21k. Of which, if you believe the portsmyth, 6k were skates. That's quite some allocation for away fans......
  13. +1 The thing with history is that it isn't relevant to what is happening now
  14. Lol! No the conversation will be more along the lines of 'stick to your job of teaching my son to play football. He will support who he wants to support without any influence from you' (With possibly a few hefty nudges from Daddy along the way) The main reason I don't want him to be a plastic 'top four' supporter is because it's dull, far too many glory hunters do it and I want to take him to St Mary's when he's older.
  15. Bang on. My thoughts exactly when I saw the team sheet.
  16. The spelling and grammar alone says it all (I have to say in this age of auto-correct on most phones and tablets, I find it amazing how anyone can be so illiterate online. Unless of course there is an app which deliberately spells words wrong for them so they can understand what other people are saying) Also nice to see them still harp on about one game where the result went their way, conveniently forgetting the FACTS of HISTORY where, down the years, we have spanked them more times than they have managed against us. Still I see no reason to let the FACTS get in the way of a good argument.
  17. +1 (I love these +1 threads)
  18. Cherries fans are so cute
  19. The thing is with the new Star Wars that you must remember is that it's not written for the Star Wars fans- like every other film it's written for the mass market and thus has to appeal to the lowest common denominator. The problem is that, the lowest common denominator these days is positively subterranean because our younger generation are used to having everything handed to them on a plate. So you can't expect a script that is going to challenge.
  20. Spare a thought for those Man U fans since Ferguson left.
  21. My 5 year old son is getting into football. The only problem is some absolute t0sser who runs one of the sports clubs he goes to thought it was funny to tell all the kids that Chelsea are the best team and so now al l the kids in my sons class just go on and on about Chelsea. I'm sure you can imagine how all the non-Chelsea supporting dads have reacted, including me. Ive literally just got off the phone from saying goodnight to him. During the conversation, he informed me that his mum had taken him to buy new football kit today and he got all red except for the boots which were 'Chelsea' boots (because they are blue, there were no red ones in his size) Money is tight so I'm saving for his first shirt, he knows it will be red and white - we were in the red with thin stripe kit when he first became aware so to him, southampton are the red team. Only problem is, he now keeps going on about how Southampton are my team but Chelsea 'are the best team because they are champions'. The ex isn't fussed about football so she just finds it funny but does take my side, telling him to stop going on about Chelsea. I am absolutely not raising a Chelsea fan. No f**king way. I am going to find that bloke and f**king slap him silly.
  22. Are they selling it to fund new toilets?
  23. My opinion us that nobody should be panicking when the transfer window hasn't closed and the current squad just needs time to meld.
  24. Well, now I've calmed down a bit..... Gutted, Everton played very well we didn't. That sums it up. Not sure what is happening with Targett but both Newcastle and Everton identified him as a weakness and it showed. I'm not sure if it's Matt himself or a lack of support when he's under pressure but if needs sorting. There's absolutely no point banging on and on about the players that have left. They are irrelevant no matter how much you may be missing them. What matters is the squad we have now and I am quite sure that Ronald will be working out how to make us less vulnerable at the back while we are missing Bertrand. There's also no point banging on about VVD - he hasn't signed for us yet. Two games down, same position as last year. I'll panic at Christmas if we aren't safe (or near safety), not before.
