Does anyone actually keep away fan attendance figures? I only ever see total figures, no breakdown. So it's kind of an easy argument for them to mythify since the figures aren't readily available. (Or at least don't seem to be) However I sincerely doubt we ever had a sub-100 away fan attendance at any match - that kind of thing would generate media comment

Are you describing Alpine?

I want nothing more than the team to play with the same confidence they showed against Arsenal. The result will look after itself. I just do not want to see a return to the rubbish we saw Before Christmas

He's talking about the recent trouble we had when we still averaged a higher attendance than the skates despite them being in the PL and us in League 1. Just an allusion to the tired old attendance debate which your average skate trots out when they have nothing better to say

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-0 Arsenal
Mr Biscuits replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well, I said it needed to change and goals needed to be scored. Perfect reaction from the team to Koeman's comments last week. More of this please. Mane and Lomg up front looked a lethal combination, keeping the defence off balance. Sterling work in midfield to keep Ozil quiet all game. Now the trick will be to keep it up. -
Finally. FINALLY. Playing with good solid determination. No fancy stuff no frills, just good basic football that has not allowed Arsenal to get in to the game. Absolutely world class shot from Martina brought with it bags of confidence, Long and Mane combined very well for the second and Fonte for the third. Can we do this every week please?

Go the whole hog. Make it a dirty protest why don't you.

How many are actually being paid for?
-
Sorry mate but we really shouldn't be saying things like that halfway through the season.
-
We are currently mid-table, but only 6 points clear of Swansea. So two more games of playing like we are with the teams below doing well (which most of them are currently) and we will be right in it by mid-January. It's got to be sorted and sorted immediately. With the way this season is going, like I keep saying we could end up back in the Championship next season wondering what the hell happened.

I'd have a thought a judiciously applied ice cube would have a better effect

Bloody well put tbh Glen. No commitment, no desire and no leadership on the pitch. Completely unacceptable from a Premiership standard side and like I said in the match thread - if they don't sort it we're going to be sitting in the Championship next season wondering what the hell happened
-
I'm well aware that this payment was nothing to do with the bidding process on those two world cups. However, Blatter has already come out and clearly stated that the Russian decision was made before the bidding process even started. I know that there is very little chance of either Cup being changed tbh however. Both will be tainted with Blatters legacy.

Oh I don't know, Plymouth Argyle are currently top and should do well this season.
-
We are going to get bent over and raped. Without benefit of Vaseline. Place your bets on us conceding at least 5

Been banned for 8 years. Should be a life ban as far as I'm concerned. They should also remove the World Cup from Russia and Quatar as well http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35144652

'Sense of entitlement'? No. I just want my team to SCORE A F*CKING GOAL
-
Wanyama won't get physical, doesn't want to get injured and lose out in his big transfer
-
Nothing more than players actually doing their job
-
Same as last week. Don't care about the result just get a goal.
-
Score some f*cking goals. Stop p!ssing about with it in midfield Get hungry for the ball - do not allow the opposition to have it for long. Kill every play they make Drop anyone who doesn't put in110% in a saints shirt
-
Expected a loss, not surprised. Yet again - wasted opportunities to score goals. Nothing more to say
-
Btw, I'm not a dalek clone, I just want my team to start scoring again and at least give other teams a run for their money.
-
No. Before the Liverpool game I was hoping that we would at least score and maybe get a result. I'm now down to just wanting us to bloody score. All the pressure we put other teams under, all the good build up play and whatever else means absolutely f*ck all without the ball ending up in the net. If we can't do that we aren't even going to get a mediocre season, we're going to end up in the relegation fight just like Koeman said. Don't get me wrong, I still think there are three other teams in the PL who are going to perform worse than us this season and that's all that really matters but on current form it's not going to take much for us to NOT be better than those other three teams. However it's going to come down to goals. And we've scored twice since the start of November- and that simply is not good enough. We aren't going to survive on no-score draws. Of all the stats you can quote, goals is the only one that actually matters. Possession, passing, whatever all means nothing without a goal. Palace had 40% possession (?) they walked away with three points, we didn't. I know I'm stating the obvious but it really annoys me when I hear 'well we put them under pressure and had good possession'- it's just an excuse for the team not doing its job properly. I don't care how they are scored, this team simply must start scoring goals otherwise all the achievements since League One will have been wasted and we will be back in the Championship wondering what the hell happened having to start again. Once the goals start going in again, everything else will follow.

Just score a goal. I don't care what the result is, just get that sodding ball in the net
