Good. Better than what we've seen. I don't know what has been done to show this difference on the pitch but Ron needs to keep doing it. Job is half done, three points in the bag, we need another three Saturday and then the team need to keep this up.

Thank you, I am now much more enlightened and feel that I can get on with my day.

I would prefer it if we avoided the bottom half of the table all together tbh. Villa are gone, either Newcastle or Sunderland have to go this season they've been living on borrowed time for far too long. My problem is that we are far too close to the drop zone so there is no margin for error, it's not just the next two games - it's every single game between now and the end of the season. 6 points between us and (currently) Newcastle is a dire position to be in at this stage of the season. Sitting there and saying 'this team is too good to go down' is irrelevant based on what we have seen over the past ten matches- We need goals and we need wins and we no longer have time or points to trade for poor performances. I don't care how it is done. In fact I would prefer to see us become a version of TonyPulis' Stoke team and grind out results than play pretty football and still come away with f*ck all at full time. Chelsea getting relegated would be hilarious though

Welp, we should be happy that there are no further distractions so we can concentrate on the league. We 'should' be happy. Thankfully, barring a dramatic change, Villa are out of the running now so we only need to be better than two other teams in the PL. anyone fancy the odds on that? This season is becoming ridiculous.
-
I'm sure it will be a great comfort to everyone when we kick off in the Championship next season to know that we played really well and dominated games this season. It means the square root of f*ck all if we don't score a f*cking goal.
-
I'm really enjoying this match. Exeter should go through based on the first half performance.
-
Football has stuff all to do with it when you are being offered double your current salary.
-
Wait...... Are you saying the the club currently playing at Fratton Park is NOT the club that won(bought) the FA Cup and that its history only actually started recently rather than over 100 years ago?
-
If we weren't in the position of having only gained 4 points from the last 24 on offer I would completely agree with you. Maybe you're right and a good cup run could be the very thing to sort out the malaise afflicting the team (or maybe Mane and Wanyama could just f*ck off and that would solve it). Thing is I would hate to see us dragged in to that bottom part of the table where teams are constantly looking over their shoulders at the relegation zone. With the way we are playing it's not going to take much for us to end up there.
-
Given what's at stake with the sponsorship deal next season I'd prefer us to concentrate on the league. Would have absolutely loved a cup run this season given where we seemed to be after last season however I've had to rapidly readjust my expectations given recent performance (and utter lack thereof). Save the cup for another year, right now Koeman needs that team to be concentrating on getting mathematically safe . Let's see what we Can do with the extra money next season.

Disappoint that you choose to resort to insult. Still, your choice.
-
This season is showing exactly why that particular tactic doesn't work.
-
How long before you/we start to get really worried
Mr Biscuits replied to Batman's topic in The Saints
I worry every season until we are mathematically safe. -
Go on then Einstein you tell me how the club is going to keep talented players.
-
You just broke my sarcasm detector. Ok so maybe a little over the top but the last three seasons have proved that the salary cap is not useful - it's got nothing to do with the football when a club can offer to double a players weekly wage without breaking a sweat. The fact that most of the players who have left us have then gone on to be bench warmers speaks volumes. If the club is serious about keeping the talent then the salary cap has to go
-
The club must abandon the salary cap. It's killing us losing all this talent each season. If they really want us to play CL football, they simply must fight fire with fire and wage match with the top clubs. Budget for the fine and break the ffp rules - other clubs have broken the ffp rules and it's had no effect at all so why should Saints bother?
-
Where's the hunger gone?
-
Wanyama should be immediately dropped to train with the kids until he either gets his head sorted out and decides he's a Saints player or he f*cks off. Same for Mane - he was on the bench through his own actions and the team paid the price for it. Koeman needs to find an answer damn quick. F*ck the cup, we need to concentrate on the league and simply be better than three other teams. So far we've drawn against two of the teams currently in the relegation zone- simply not good enough. The board have to take action immediately and ensure Koeman has every resource he needs to keep us up.

F*ck me gently how advanced can you make a system that sells tickets? A: Hello, I'd like a ticket please B: of course, that will be £X.xx please. Thank you. Here have a printed piece of card which represents your purchase.
-
I've moved on to: just score more than one goal. We should be beating sides like Norwich comfortably and it's frustrating that I'm nervous about this game.
-
Poor result. Could and should have won the game in the first half. Subs in the second half showed, yet again, that we need a much stronger squad to survive in the PL.

F*cking bullsh!t defending WAKE THE F*CK UP

F*cking bullsh!t defending WAKE THE F*CK UP

Why have we switched off? All we need to do is kill everything they try. How many times have we seen other teams get one goal and then try to kill the game? Why do we never do this?
-
More of the same please. West Ham seem to be a little out of sorts. If anything just don't concede, I'll happily take a dull 1-0 at this point
