Tbh I would have said something about Biscuits, Brown........ (Extra points if you get that)

There was a biscuit emergency.....

I think I might be ok with him going if it's a case that he sat down with the club and they couldn't agree on what each other wanted to do next season. But all of this is just speculation so far. Worry about it if he's pictured at Everton holding one of their shirts and then sit back and watch what Saints do about replacing him - because, make no mistake, the club WILL have a contingency plan in place.
-
Wait....... Replace Ron with........ .......Zlatan?
-
Actually, with the moon in Aquarius and the sun moving into Jupiter this week there's a strong chance that it might cause a crumb to lodge in his manly goatee which could very well tip the balance. Clearly having pink crumbs on his face would not fit the Zlatan image therefore he would windmill his arms greatly to get the crumbs off this playing into the hands of a cunning Les Reed who is ready to wedge a pen between his fingers and hold a contract in just the right place. You should feel when it happens since Zlatan windmilling his arms like that would slow the earths rotation.

I had you down as a pink wafer man. Ffs I'm going to have to update my spreadsheet now.

Look I know some of you have accused me of being 'itk' however I refuse to confirm or deny it. However what I can say is that I saw this video https://youtu.be/2QzJCtpp5k4 And I've seen several Volvo's driving round Southampton....... I say no more.......

It's because we haven't signed Zlatan yet

I still think immigration is irrelevant to this debate. They will still come even if we leave. Besides has anyone actually put forward a cogent, sensible plan to change how we deal with immigration? (Legal or otherwise) because I've yet to hear it. Immigration is a very emotional subject and politicians tend to stay away from it rather than nail their colours to the mast (unless it's central to your policy, Mr Farage). I actually feel like the current crop of politicians would be happier to ignore the whole subject rather than say something and set off social media. And I don't see that attitude changing post vote(whichever way it goes) I just don't get the whole 'vote leave and it will solve the immigration problem' - it won't until British Law is changed.

I suppose I should put in my tuppence on this. Below is something I posted on Facebook to my friends. Just something I wrote down trying to get out what I was thinking at the time. I remain completely unconvinced by either side in the debate and I suspect it's going to come down to the whole sovereignty issue for me. Which I'm not entirely happy with since the whole EU thing is about so much more than just the sovereignty debate.

I'm always saddened when I think about what happened to Gazza, an absolute diamond of a player who got the wrong people around him. Can't stand it when he has a relapse and the media jump all over it - just wish they would leave the poor bloke alone.

The jury should never ever be out on the team captain. Not ever, not once. He shouldn't even be in the squad, his time is done. I don't buy the 'we need his experience' argument either. Experience of what? Failing at tournaments or scoring against the international equivalents of the Dog and Duck 5-a-side charity team?

Still failed to get out of League Two though, didn't they. Again. Actually, a thought occurs to me..... I wonder if we are seeing the skates copying the mighty Saints here - small improvements, season on season. 16th last season, 6th this season but missing out in the playoffs. So does that mean next season we will see them actually get to the playoff final? And then will they miss out again but get automatic promotion the next season?
-
Sorry should have made myself clearer - I was talking about the older players such as Milner and Rooney. In my view they've had plenty of chances and they've never put in a performance that has seen England even get near to a final let alone bring home silverware. Your assessment is pretty good but I disagree about Wilshere - his lack of gametime this season is precisely the reason he should not be going.
-
Completely agree, in fact I can't think of one player in recent times that I believed could come on and change the game. And to speak of the national side like that is really bad, but unfortunately true. And when I think of Rooney I simply cannot view him as a captain of anything, definitely doesn't inspire his team mates, doesn't lead by example and just isn't captain material.
-
Well yes.... The squad were good enough to challenge but not good enough to win. Which is why they failed to get out of League Two. Again.
-
I can neither confirm nor deny anything regarding Zlatan signing for Saints.....
-
Tbh if the England manager showed some guts and actually turned around and told the players what he expects from them and actually sticks to his word by dropping players who aren't performing you would find a lot less criticism. Instead of which you see the same players picked time and again despite the fact they they don't put in a performance at the competitions we want to see England win. I know I'm very negative about the national side, there's a reason for it - im tired of seeing the team underperform and I believe that drastic action is required to shake things up. Tbh I'm actually a little surprised Hodgson has picked more youth but I am also very disappointed that he has picked players who have consistently failed as well
-
Lol no, Zlatan really really isn't going to sign for Saints.
-
Jack Wilshere will play if fit. THATS THE ENTIRE P!SSING PROBLEM WITH JACK WILSHERE- HE'S NEVER PIGGING FIT. I don't care how good he is, if he's not fit and hasn't been all season it's ridiculous to take him.

As I said on another thread, the media have to over dramatise everything. There was an article, I think, in the mirror about Wanyama and it used phrases like 'the ongoing transfer saga' and 'Southampton are braced for bids' etc Which is complete rubbish - everyone knows he wants to go, he's given us another season without too much hassle (although there have been moments) and it's obvious where he's going. To phrase it like that article did infers that he has somehow been kept at the club against his will all season and that the club don't want to receive any bids for him at all. Just always keep in mind that the media need you to click on the story or buy the paper because that's what pays their wages. If the headline said 'Wanyama is going to be transferred as expected' it wouldn't sell as many papers or get as many clicks as 'Let me go, pleads Kenyan star' or 'Spurs to place dramatic bid for Wanyama'
