  1. WHY IS EVERONE SHOUTING?
  2. I think it's related to the performance of their players at the Euro's
  3. Thunder rolled in the night as the rain beat down upon the tatty timber tabernacle, dislodging a few more of the roof tiles from its rotting frame. Bathed in the light of the Championship standard floodlights, Shaznay shivered gently and pulled her Sports Direct shell suit closer around her. She gazed up at the stands, remembering the inbred baying of the best fans in world football, remembering that day..... The day she first gazed upon his tattoo'd, pot bellied torso........ I can't go on
  4. You also need to re-write it to read like a Mills & Boon
  5. I've not read the whole thread since the image I'm getting of posters on here lately means it'll be 23 pages of mostly bed wetting with a few people valiantly struggling against the wave of urine to make a valid comment. So here's my tuppence on the subject: He wanted to go anyway He's another great player we've discovered We got a damn good price for him Best of luck to him Who's next?
  6. Note to the skates: Having your sister uncle on the phone in Marbella does not equal a worldwide fanbase.
  7. Nothing like a bit of relentless positivity.
  8. Hodgson has to go after this. Utterly abject. However this is all we can look forward to until the FA grows some balls and select a manager who will make these players perform.
  9. Absolutely right. However it is also disheartening to have to wade through post after post of utter tosh about: 'The board don't know what they are doing' 'It's all Les Reeds fault' 'We have no ambition' (Repeat until you lose the will to live) This is football - players and managers move on. Sometimes we don't want them to but it's a fact of life in the modern era. Every club at the top of the game work very hard to ensure that the impact of this happening is minimal, Saints are no different. Our club has a policy of not talking about transfer business. They stick to this policy no matter what which inevitably means that the media simply make stuff up about our club because they have no other information to go on. Is it frustrating? Yes it is! I didn't want Koeman, Wanyama or Mané to go but they have. The only shock was Koeman and I was over that within a day because life moves on. I believe that my club is working very very hard to replace all three and I also believe that sitting there crying about it and slagging the club off is incredibly negative, unhelpful and very dull.
  10. God I'm bored with all the crying and bed wetting going on. I'll be back when the summer is over I think. Just in time for the bed wetters to find something else to cry about
  11. LES TOLD HER
  12. Yep. It's still Les Reeds fault though
  13. Ah yes the 'waaaaaaaaaaa! We didn't win so we want to change the rules' petition
  14. What is this bizarre insistence with Giggs? He has absolutely none of the experience and qualities we need
  15. Personally I blame Les for the leave vote in the referendum
  16. Do let us know when you've finished running around the room with your hands in the air screaming
  17. Interesting times ahead then
  18. Or you could just move on with your life.........
  19. Wasn't concussion then was it you thundering hedgehog c*nt because if it was he'd have immediately been off the pitch. D!ckhead. And I would have thought drooling would be the normal state of affairs in the crowd on a match day at the tatty timber tabernacle. Do you think Factless has a bet on to write all his articles in the style of a Viking saga?
  20. Ffs you guys I put 50p on Pellegrini this morning.
  21. Last season is over, there is no longer any requirement to come up with excuses as to why they failed to get promotion from League Two. Again.
  22. Ok so I had a quick look at the World Cup record for England. 1950 - knocked out in the group stages 1954 - knocked out by Uruguay in the Q/f 1958 - knocked out in the group stages 1962 - knocked out by Brazil in the q/f 1966 - won it 1970 - knocked out by Germany in the q/f 1974 - dnq 1978 - dnq 1982 - knocked out in the second round 1986 - q/f bloody Maradona 1990 - s/f out on penalties to West Germany 1994 - dnq 1998 - knocked out by Argentina in the round of 16 2002 - q/f knocked out by Brazil 2006 - q/f out on penalties to Portugal 2010 - absolutely schooled by Germany in the round of 16 2014 - knocked out in the group stages I haven't even looked at the UEFA competition yet but tbh I don't think I need to because this shows it all in painful reality. Apart from a few flashes of brilliance our national side has never been any good at competition level. We have been consistently beaten by the sides who have often made it to the final. Until that trend is changed we will never see England raise any cups.
  23. Seconded on the Wilshere/Henderson thing. Neither should be anywhere near the squad. I know Rooney has had a couple of good games so far but even he shouldn't be anywhere near the team. I definitely don't buy the 'we need experience' argument - his experience at Cup competitions for the national side has largely been a negative one. I really think the football side have so much to learn from the rugby side where no player is guaranteed a place and you definitely don't get picked if you are injured.
  24. Sorry guys you're all wrong I can confirm that Zlatan is going to be player/manager next season. It's why he's retiring from international football. Of course please keep it quiet because Zlatan would kill me if he
  25. Heard an interesting debate on the radio yesterday with regard to Hodgson - if he goes, who would take over? There's not really anyone out there at the moment that you could honestly say - he can do the job. And to be honest, who would actually want the poison chalice that is the England job? I can't think of another national side that seems to have the problems England do. Germany - always well drilled, always a goal threat. Even when they don't have a great squad you know they will be dangerous Spain - I can't remember the last time they failed to put out a team that didn't do well in a cup competition Italy - don't seem to give much of a f*ck but always seem to string together a fairly decent performance France - just like the rugby, you never know which France you are going to get. I just can't think of another national side that compares to the drama and the 'this time we'll do it' only to fail again of England. The 'this is the tournament Rooney is going to come alive' The selection policy that leaves out truly deserving players and takes out of form or injured players instead The total lack of cohesion on the pitch that we see time and time again The abject failure to get the damn ball in the net time after time Just what is it going to take to get our national football side actually playing and winning against the top opposition?
