  1. Good goal from Tadic yesterday against Benfica yesterday, he was important in the game against Bayern for them too. Ajax likely to progress to the CL knockout phase now.
  2. He still wants to take on the Dutch national team too, but that wouldn't be sooner than 2018. After winning the Dutch league with PSV in his first season there, in october in his 2nd season while being in 1st place with PSV he left them for Valencia. He has always said after that he regretted doing that, realised he shouldn't have moved away that easily from a good situation.
  3. I'm Dutch myself, and just listened to that interview. I wouldn't say it was all a joke really. In fact, I think he was quite serious about his ambitions, which aren't necessarily related to Chelsea, but more in general to what he wants to achieve as a manager in the future. The joking part was mostly about Guus. But I doubt Ronald would leave before his contract ends, especially now that he has said so. He has alot of regrets from earlier in his career, from the way he left PSV for Valencia, he learned from that.
  4. Back when Djuricic played at Heerenveen I thought he showed more potential than Tadic. But Tadic in his last years at Twente had a much bigger impact than Djuricic did for Heerenveen. But then again, Djuricic is quite a bit younger. At Twente Tadic in my opinion was always at his best as a left winger. At some point he was pushed to the right wing because of Nacer Chadli, but never looked as good there. I kind of feel the same now with Elia playing predominantly on the left wing.
  5. I'm new to this club, another Dutch guy who followed Koeman this season. I'm not as knowledgeable about the club's situation as I imagine many others on here are, so do correct me when I'm wrong. But when I just googled about the club's finances I found that Hans Hofstetter said back in March that the club owed £27 million in outstanding transfer fees, and would start the summer transfer window with a £27 million transfer debt. Did you take that into account? But besides that, like Redslo also said, it's hard to know the ins and outs of the club's finances. Like incoming transfer fees, how are they structured, are they in installments. Or how much did the club have to pay in signing bonusses and agent fees with all these new signings. And indeed, also with the loans, is there any money allocated into signing some of them permanently at the end of this season. I don't know, but what I do know is that the club seems to focus on loaning players to fix depth issues. This transfer window also with Elia and possibly Djuricic. Not something clubs with money to spend tend to do. Like I said earlier, I think Koeman and the club are making the best out of the situation. And I think they're doing a very good job this season.
  6. It seems fairly obvious to me that there's not much money to spend. Already have Elia, Alderweireld and Bertrand on loan. And it seems now Djuricic will come on loan because Feyenoord won't let Vilhena go on the cheap, so I imagine Djuricic on loan untill the summer and then pick up Vilhena on the cheap as he'll only have a year left on his contract. Either way, none of this gives me the idea there's money to spend on a good striker right now, Koeman is making the best out of the situation.
  7. Marco van Basten was the manager at Heerenveen when Djuricic played there, I'm sure Koeman had a chat with him and is well informed about Djuricic.

    Tonny Vilhena

Originally he's more of a number 10, attacking midfielder behind the striker. It's where he played in the youth teams, it's where he played when he won the under 17 European Championships in 2011 and 2012. But Koeman played him as a CM next to Clasie due to that position being available basically, while Clasie had more of a deep lying playmaker and holding role, Vilhena played more as a dynamic box to box midfielder with alot of drive forward.(Immers played in the 10 position) In that CM position Vilhena had 6 goals and 7 assists last season in the eredivisie. This season with Clasie perhaps unexpectedly staying and El Ahmadi's return, who I think originally was meant to be Clasie's replacement, Vilhena ended up on the bench. The manager chose for a more experienced and more defensively solid midfield as El Ahmadi and Vilhena are very different types of midfielders. I'm sure it also hasn't helped that Vilhena hasn't extended his contract since, back in October already negotiations were halted.
  9. On loan Djuricic would be a smart signing. I imagine Koeman looks at it the same way I do, probably only having seen him play in the eredivisie where he showed he was very talented. That doesn't just dissapear, probably needs good guidance and confidence. And a loan is relatively risk free, and adds some depth.

    Tonny Vilhena

Vilhena shouldn't be on more than 500k euros a year currently, so I imagine £20k a week would probably seal the deal yes.

I think Vilhena is still a great talent who under the right guidance will become an excellent player. I thought he had a great season last season for a 18/19 year old. Ofcourse due to his age he showed some inconsistence, but at the same time so much promise. And 6 goals and 7 assists was very good for someone that age and in the position he played. He also ended up being part of the preliminary Dutch World Cup squad of 30 players, but didn't make the final cut, and was nominated for the golden boy award for Europe's biggest talent.
