If you cast your mind back a couple of years there was quite a bust up with certain players who happened to be “black” players.

They looked very Saintsy playing a back 3 , caught on the break with plenty of room on the flanks . Also had plenty of players back at times but no one near the attacker , got plenty of last minute blocks in as a result. A few players lacked the speed/mobility of Spains players . On another day if they scored ………….

Thanks James , winding up Zaha was brilliant plus the great free kicks and a touch of England duty. I always remember Peter Sillett who got 3 caps for England when a Saints player , we watched him at Ashford Town fc as player and player manager ! (Usually found in the Fox pub , now the Windmill) Hope you get a more forward looking role at WHU !

All 3 promoted sides lost in the prem , Everton being tipped to ‘do a Southampton’ this season as well ie flirt with relegation for several seasons then get relegated ! Perhaps the gap between Prem and Championship is getting too great.

He did as he was told , like Redmond so looked ineffectual to us ! I liked his aggressive period with Ralph but like most players he needed good players around him .

It looked like we have had peak JWP at Saints , I hope he has a revival at WH to see his career out . Saints need a rebuild and I'm not confident we have reached the bottom yet before an upturn.

This seems to be more like the "The ringpiece of trust " to me . As we can see for ourselves there is loads of contradictory posting on the internet and in the old media . Some of it is fleetingly true but the end result is usually different . 😄
