  1. Sadio Mane against Arsenal.
  2. Quoting the Barry Gale wikipedia item in full (it won't stay up long): "Dr Barry Frank Gale (born 16 July 1979) is a British professor specialising in colour and pattern psychology. He is considered to be one of the top one thousand living experts in his field. His scientific works include groundbreaking research into the effects of the colour wenge on chimps and a much heralded three page thesis entitled '50 Shades of Black and White'. Gale was the fifty-first expert to set forth a theory of colourology. He is a vigorous supporter of psychological benefits of rainbows. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Colours, which he himself established in 2004. The organisation has absolutely no official connection with, or endorsement from, the Royal Family. Gale studied Brewing and Distilling at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh but failed to complete the course citing a difference of opinion with his lecturer. On Wednesday 13 May 2015, Dr Gale was appointed by Premier League football club, Southampton FC, as the first ever colour specialist in football. He featured as part of the clubs #ShowYourStripes campaign to launch Southampton's 2015/16 kit.[1][2]"
  3. Confimed 15 minutes ago by largest Dutch news site nu.nl
  4. To cheer you up: The Suarez millions however ended up at Southampton somehow.
  5. Possible. The Vilhena attempt in the winter transfer window failed. In short, loan refused by Feyenoord; followed by an offer of 3 payments of 600.000 pounds, first payment starting summer 2015 !. (Vilhena is a talented impatient 20 years old, and in no way regarded as a failure (unlike Elia and Djuricic), so Feyenoord refused immediately). Yes, it reeks of lacking funds - for the 2014-2015 season.Source (Dutch)
  6. Jetro Willems has 12 assists this season for PSV in the Eredivisie. Remarkable for a 21 year old left back. Only once before a defender did 12 assists in the Eredivisie: PSV player Ronald Koeman (season 1988-1989). Still a few games to play.
  7. Maybe stay out of the way of this guy .
  8. He took them for Feyenoord, .
  9. Eljero Elia in Dutch team preselection, with Bas Dost. No van Persie (injured).
  10. Bafétimbi Gomis apparently has had this problem before.
  11. Found him! (starting bottom, second from right, going up).
  12. He was sentenced to 4 months in 2006, in 2008 to be changed to 120 hours conditional community service. He works as a scout for a company named Interplayer. After Southampton he went back to Feyenoord, playing 5 more years. (Source Dutch wikipedia)
  13. The site predicts Southampton gets third place; with a 74.1% chance of Champions League after 248 million simulations. It also rates Southampton's "Strength" to be second in the league. Really don't know what to think of it.( Link for some of these numbers.)
  14. Maybe someone should explain to Elia that defending a post does not mean what he seems to think it does.
  15. Koeman had worked with Pelle when he managed AZ. When Koeman took over at Feyenoord, he signed Pelle who was at that time (not) playing in the second division in Italy. Koeman said he did not sign Pelle for his goal scoring (however Koeman said he expected about 15 goals, which Pelle had never done in his whole career). Feyenoord had no money at the time and was relying on talented youth. Bullying them off the ball used to be a successful tactic against Feyenoord, but with Pelle holding up the ball and three of these highly able kids running full speed at the defenders bullying was not much of an option anymore. Pelle's goal scoring was more of an extra.
  16. copy from here.
  17. JWP is actually second on the list of comparable players to Vilhena on transfermarkt.com.
  18. Jetro Willems (PSV, contract until summer 2016).
  19. Dutch press reporting Elia is in the team of the week in La Gazzetta dello Sport, with Ronaldo and Messi.
