We'll win this. Especially if Hoedt is ready to play we have a much better team then they do. A good win for confidence.

Wow, I don't know what was worse: the game or reading through this thread.

Interesting to see that Maya is captain, ahead of Romeu, or Forster, or JWP (or anyone, obviously).

Saints 1st team player data/stats from Hoedt video

Romeu easily our slowest player, then! (Also, I know you said that VVD is a freak in a good way, but I think you've sneaked in a 5 too many there somewhere) -
Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day

I see that WBA want Vincent Janssen. I know he's had a terrible season at Spurs, but as I've said before I think he could do very well for us. On the other hand, we already have enough stikers searching for form. -
I wouldn't be surprised if Lemina starts as well. And Gardos, if he's fit.
-
And Martins Indi gets a look in every now and then as well. Hoedt is just starting to be an option, made his debut for the Dutch team earlier this year.
-
...and then Saints are the perfect next step for a player like that. Premier League top 10, strong competition, and a team that really has a need for what he has to give. He'll want to move on eventually. Which is fine by me.

Is this expected to be on TV/stream anywhere?

Scored the 3rd goal tonight against Accrington (1-3 win for WBA).

Admit it, I'm not the only one who clicked on the play button in that picture. Awesome signing!

Getting a point from City is a good result though. I'd take that.

Fraser Forster is he at the level we require?
Pass the Dutchie replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
7) Forster and Hart do themselves few favours Fraser Forster and Joe Hart could end up doing Jack Butland’s work for him at this rate, ahead of the World Cup in Russia next year, with neither goalkeeper covering themselves in glory at St Mary’s. West Ham’s porous defence hardly helped Hart, now beaten seven times in just two matches, but he again looked a shadow of his former dominating self. Forster was oddly rewarded with a shiny new five-year deal in July despite a shaky time last term. In fairness to Forster, he made a superb save to deny Diafra Sakho before Javier Hernández swept home his second goal and credit must go to the West Ham striker for reacting quickest inside the box. But there is no doubt that the giant 6ft 7in goalkeeper is not quite at his formidable best. The Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, another option for England, could also jump in front of the pair in the pecking order. EDIT: never mind.

I must admit I had very little hope of winning this one after the 2-2. So thrilled it fell our way for a change!
-
I don't think he was very wrong today, but I know that if I'd been a WHU supporter I'd be very ****ed off at him

Impressed by Yoshida. Gabbi and Redmond also looking decent. Lemina started badly with some passes going nowhere, but doing his job in the past half hour or so.
-
What a lovely goal that is! And thank you Jose Fonte

I like the look of that team. Good to see McCarthy on the bench as well.

I would be if being straight was the exception, the reason for people to have to fight for equal rights. Not now though, obviously. We live in a straight world, where being straight is assumed until told otherwise. There's no need to come out, so the comparison isn't relevant.
-
Because, I'm guessing, they don't validate that it can be a struggle and consequently a big scary thing and a relief at the same time to come out. Of course gay people are hoping everyone will just shrug. That's not the point, because it's not the reality. Being gay and being straight in this world are just not yet the same thing. A straight person who thinks 'Why should I care? I don't tell you that I'm straight' ignores the fact that everyone assumes you're straight already. There's no need for them to come out, and there's no struggle or doubts involved (for most). In a perfect world everyone would shrug and nobody would care. But the 100% 'straight' Premier League (and most other professional leagues over the world) is crystal clear proof that gay players aren't confident that it won't be a big and potentially negative, deal.

To be honest I probably don't know a whole lot more than you do. He played for AZ in the Netherlands and I don't follow that club specifically, so I only saw him in the highlight and defenders usually don't get a lot of attention in those. I've seen him play a few time for the Dutch team, and he seemed solid enough without standing out.
