The Dutch sports commentators before the Feyenoord match were sort of laughing and joking about how easy it would be for Stekelenburg to improve on Gazzaniga's performance against Groningen. I didn't see enough of that game to know if that was fair or not.

Vlaar was great and very important for the national team until the end of the 2014 World Cup game against Brazil (3-0). Then he got injured. He's 30 now. It may take some time and confidence, but I'm quite sure he'll be back. It'd definitely be interesting to see Virgil van Dijk in the Dutch national team in the meantime though.

Dutch teams lose all their good players to other countries before they become great. It's not just Pelle and Clasie.
