  1. From The Guardian match report: "90 min +4: Southampton fans take some time out to send abuse Portsmouth’s way. It’s their party, they can do what they like."
  2. Did Chelsea get a shot at goal at all after their goal? I don't remember.
  3. Overall great defending from Pelle and Mane right up the field.
  4. To think we didn't get two penalties.
  5. I'm so nervous, haha. Great match.
  6. What a game. (And what a miss)
  7. There are more goals in this game, on both sides. Very entertaining match.
  8. Lovely pass from Soares to Pelle before the goal.
  9. And its 2-2.
  10. Red card for Lens @ Sunderland. Felt that coming somehow.
  11. Defense is the weakest link, and with Arjen Robben injured they also lack their most creative/threatening player. I think Van Dijk has a good chance of actually playing these games.
  12. He made the Dutch national squad for the next two games today. Danny Blind eliminated Rick Karsdorp, Luciano Narsingh, Joël Veltman and Kenneth Vermeer today. Bruno Martins Indi and Gregory van der Wiel were not even part of the pre-selection: GK: Jasper Cillessen (Ajax), Tim Krul (Newcastle United), Jeroen Zoet (PSV) DF: Jeffrey Bruma (PSV), Virgil van Dijk (Southampton), Daryl Janmaat (Newcastle United), Terence Kongolo (Feyenoord), Karim Rekik (Olympique Marseille), Jairo Riedewald (Ajax), Kenny Tete (Ajax) MF: Ibrahim Afellay (Stoke City), Vurnon Anita (Newcastle United), Daley Blind (Manchester United), Davy Klaassen (Ajax), Wesley Sneijder (Galatasaray), Georginio Wijnaldum (Newcastle United) FW: Memphis Depay (Manchester United), Bas Dost (VfL Wolfsburg), Anwar El Ghazi (Ajax), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04), Jeremain Lens (Sunderland), Robin van Persie (Fenerbahçe), Quincy Promes (Spartak Moskou)
  13. Koeman: "Maybe he'll be fit for Swansea. If not, then for Chelsea."

  15. Very curious to see how VVD will look in this game.
  16. He scored the winner for Feyenoord today as a substitute.
  17. United are building confidence. For just this one time I'd be happy with 0-0.
  18. A point more than we got last year. First time this season we improve on last year's result.
  19. The Guardian have Clasie returning September 19, Bertrand September 23.
  20. The funny thing is that this is for a large part the same Dutch team that managed 3rd place at the World Cup under Van Gaal, and the average player age is not that high. New coach, new system, new low confidence.
  21. It's really bad, but today was also unlucky. Robben injured early on, unbelievable red card for Martins Indi, and an unnecessary penalty caused by Van der Wiel. Not much Blind could have prevented of that. What I didn't understand was why he took off Huntelaar and put on Bruma after the red card. There was no one left to score on the field after that. But yes. They've been horrible overall.
  22. Well, to be fair that article is from 2 days ago. After that it's been more on than off.
