  1. The message would be that he's not as good as VVD. No shame in that.
  2. Leicester 14 seconds too late with the Silva transfer.
  3. The guy on Dutch tv commenting how Hoedt's first 3 games with the national team had been great and very promising, but that this week's performances were very disappointing, and that it was probably because of lack of rhythm.
  4. As I'm expecting VVD to return into the team soon enough, we'll have a defence of Cedric, Hoedt, Van Dijk, Bertrand, with Romeu and Lemina in front of them. This will give the whole team a big confidence boost, and I trust the goals will follow. Well done, Saints!
  5. I'll be watching this one. It's going to be a very tough game, which we're (the Dutch) very unlikely to win. Good test for Hoedt though!
  6. Made me laugh (don't know if posted before):
  7. I'm happy that I don't need to click around ads all the time though.
  8. Yes, but Rodriguez has gone (which is fine) and Gallagher has gone again (which is fine) and Long may still go. If he does, it'd be lovely to have someone come in, right?
  9. I do agree that he hasn't brought what was hoped/expected, but I still find it hard to understand why he was dropped every time he had a good game. Even after some of his best games in which he scored and showed his promise.
  10. EDIT: missed this thread: https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?58719-Clasie-to-Club-Brugge-One-year-Loan#.Waaqv_mLSUk
  11. Any saves from McCarthy?
  12. Thanks Tom. Any interest in Clasie, Højbjerg, or anyone else? Wrong thread, but since you're here...
  13. Start impressing and scoring for a while and we'll be singing 'There's only one Pellegrino' soon enough,
  14. I'm excited about these final few days. Where will Clasie go? Is there a future for Højbjerg here? (When) will we see VVD back in a Saints shirt? What surprises do we have incoming? (PSG is still trying to get rid of Hatem Ben Arfa. I'd give him a try, if his salary demands aren't over the top.) I'm pretty confident things will look good after Thursday.
  15. What Forster needs is confidence. He kept his goal clean (with a bit of luck). Praising him seems the best way to go at such moments, I'd think.
  16. Of course he has. He's just playing.
  17. This was the first game of the season last year, and ended 1-1 with a goal from Redmond. We can use the break that's coming up. Hopefully things will have settled down after the transfer window has shut, and everyone still here will work to get back to 100% motivation.
  18. Bournemouth playing really well so far.
  19. It looks like he's no longer the coach of Qingdao Red Lions in China, so he may be available.
  20. Not that anyone would believe the 'rumor' mentioned above anyway, but: 'Arsène Wenger eager to keep Chelsea target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain' https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/24/arsene-wenger-chelsea-target-alex-oxlade-chamberlain-arsenal
  21. He's a bit younger though. No problem having some choices for the future.
  22. Any news on Højbjerg? What's going on with him?
