  1. "Leicester City have announced they will sign the defender Luis Hernández on a free transfer from Sporting Gijón." https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/21/leicester-sign-luis-hernandez
  2. Frank de Boer named as one of the possible candidates for AC Milan: http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Milan/19-06-2016/milan-de-boer-van-gaal-villas-boas-c-pista-straniera-la-panchina-16033192373.shtml?refresh_ce-cp# I'd still like him here, but I guess it's not going to happen.
  3. England paying pretty well but much too predictable.
  4. Wales on fire.
  5. We (the Dutch) didn't qualify. In fairness, we've been dull as fück as well lately.
  6. Twente win their appeal and stay in the Eredivisie. Any club hoping to get Ziyech will have to pay the money. (http://www.nu.nl/voetbal/4278572/fc-twente-wint-beroepszaak-en-blijft-in-eredivisie.html)
  7. I don't fully understand the resistance against 'stepping stone' coaches. Two years is a decent spell for any coach nowadays, especially if they're bringing success.
  8. Dost will be leaving Wolfsburg. HSV and multiple English clubs interested, apparently. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/2016-17/1/tm-news--13840-8760-.html
  9. Champions at home against Stoke. Looking forward to it.
  10. The point is that they're a country with a population of 330k. As the Guardian pointed out, 10% of their entire population was in that stadium last night. They got a point against Portugal (world's #8 / population > 10m). Why risk losing a historic and unexpected point? To please Ronaldo? True, a win would have been even more historic, but I can totally understand their ecstasy and attitude.
  11. According to that article it's £8m and not £11m.
  12. Still not sure where this 'Pelle does not have a good personal relationship with Koeman' idea comes from. Yesterday after his goal he even explicitly thanked Koeman on Dutch television for all he's done for him.
  13. Koeman did great here. Nothing he'll do from here onwards will change that these have been two fantastic seasons. I'm also completely confident that what comes next for us can be even better. Some positivity! We've been improving for years every time people left, so why the bitterness? We'll never know the full behind the scenes story, but even if it's just the money that changed Koeman's mind, I can't really blame him. It must feel nice to be wanted so badly. I'm very curious about the future. I wouldn't mind Frank de Boer at all.
  14. Any news on whether Stek will be here again next season?
  15. Looking forward to hearing FdB's English interviews.
  16. Frank de Boer with Ronald de Boer as assistant.
  17. He says he doesn't know yet but it wouldn't surprise me. He'll be leaving the Netherlands for sure.
  18. Still, he's a midfielder. Who scored 10 times.
  19. Peter Bosz, the guy who was Vitesse's trainer when we played against them, is wanted as the new Ajax trainer now that Frank de Boer has announced he's leaving.
  20. Vincent Janssen has stated today that he's interested in taking a next step up. I'm not convinced he'd be ready for the PL, but who knows. If Pelle goes?
  21. Not even on the bench for the last number (4? 5?) of games, while he played relatively regularly previously. Is there still a future for Matt Targett at Saints?
  22. I'm Dutch like VVD and I was very surprised a few years ago when I learned that 'a couple' and 'a few' don't have the exact same meaning. I'm quite sure VVD doesn't know either.
  23. 60 points, 1 game to go. Not bad at all!
  24. Haha! Davis! Ha!
