I'll bury my head in the sand and hope he'll realise he still has a lot to learn here for a few more seasons. Next season he'll be fulltime captain, I'm guessing. If we manage to have a promising season this year and look to want to do business and keep our other best, I can see it happening. At least I can see it in my dreams.

Everton could have scored a goal today, which would have made Puel crap, and putting in Sims a big mistake. We could have scored a goal against Sparta, which would have made Puel brilliant, and squad rotation the greatest idea. I understand the emotions sometimes, but people actually type this stuff out. Sometimes days after a result.

He could (maybe should) have given a penalty against VVD. Very glad he didn't, obviously.

Martina's had some good and bad games for us and Cedric has had some good and bad games for us. These past weeks it's been good for Cedric and bad for Martina. It happens. I'm very pleased that Cedric seems to have found his feet lately, and I hope Martina will soon again as well.

The difference between a great and a disappointing result has been often very small this season for us. Today it deservedly fell our way for a change. Especially the first half of the first half was very impressive, I thought. Very glad for Sims to have a dream debut. VVD fantastic, and great interaction between Redmond and Bertrand. Thanks to Stekelenburg it was only 1-0.
