    Mane

Hardly surprising that Mane has made Garth Crooks' team of the week. Comes with the Chris Sutton comment "that he thought that Mane had proved himself worthy of a move to a big club next season based on his performances." Also included is Shane Long in the team

Made the main news sports section here in NZ. 99% coverage is usually rugby and anything other than football. The last time we got a mention was the 8-0 against Sunderland. It was a nice piece showing all 6 goals twice COYS
  3. Just watched the goals on youtube. Looks like it was a fantastic effort all round. Well done boys - especially Mane. But what a strike by Shane Long! Superb composure and vision - sort of goal that MLT would have scored
  4. Wonder if SFC will subsidise my airline ticekts too so I can go
  5. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32475940 Let's hope that this is just the beginning and his confidence continues to grow, resulting in more goals. Will certainly increase our chances of overtaking Liverpool and Spuds.
  6. Maybe that's why Pelle isn't scoring as he wants to keep his options open to move to another club in the summer
  7. Only comes on for last 7 minutes of game and scores in the 90th to earn a draw with Poland.

Looks like he's struggling to hear the doubters now
  9. Close but a win is a win and 3pts obviously crucial. Strange to think that I'll be supporting West Ham tomorrow but willing them to lose a couple of days later Man City must be looking very nervously over their shoulder at the moment. Top 4 for Saints? I want the runners up spot
  10. BBC Radio 5 live 'Arry needs a miraclePosted at 20:31 Reporter John Southall says he has just spoken to QPR manager Harry Redknapp who told him: "Unless there is an absolute miracle, nothing is going to happen. "Emmanuel Adebayor? Nothing there either unless there is a change of heart from the player."
  11. So, Lambert could be potentially be playing in Championship again next season?
  12. From BBC website: 19:41 Portuguese giants Benfica have confirmed on their official website that Filip Djuricic has completed a loan move to Southampton until the end of the season, terminating his loan arrangement with German Bundesliga side Mainz.
  13. Because he's cheap!
  14. May as well make my first post a positive one Why not? It's certainly not outside the realms of possibility. From what we've seen on (and off) the pitch of late is a team which believes in itself and if they continue in the same vein, then why not? The biggest factor is probably going to be something which is not in our control - injuries. If we can get through the rest of the season without any more of them and get key players back, then 2nd or 3rd is a reality. Whatever happens though, as a Saints fan of over 45 years, I'm loving every moment of this season - and I'm going to savour it as long as it lasts
