I can't see Mr Cortese going for the statue or stand renaming tribute but what about - with the family's consent of course - his ashes urn buried in the wall near the front entrance of SMS fronted with an appropriate engraved brass plaque.An idea which would hopefully appeal to both the club, the family and the fan's. I like the rest of the 50 somethings on this site was priveleged to see Ron in action throughout his career at the Dell. He was my first Saints hero and deserves a permanent memorial at the club.

If we can establish ourselves in this league I have no doubts that Cortese will have us playing in a larger capacity stadium whether a bigger St Marys or a new build. Then we will be able to compete for a top 4 place.

I would scour eastern europe and buy 2 of the biggest meanest mudda-fokkers to play in the middle of defence, you know a pair of knuckle draggers who will scare the £30 m pretty boy premiership forwards sh**less, add to that a slightly more mobile left footed evil bas**rd to play left back and maybe a vicious but fair midfield destroyer to break things up in front of them. I still think Boruc will come good especially if the mongs give him a chance and we have enough going forward to score regularly in this league.

I was'nt at Weston Shore, but I was at the Leeds game at the Dell where Mr Chorley did a very creditable rendition on the pitch at half time. He did get dangerously close to the Leeds fans however - It did look at one point that 'ampshires finest would have to stop him from being eaten alive !!!!!!!
