  1. It's a win and deserved I think... Swansea fought hard and should be praised but they didn't really have the legs or the level. Pretty much in control even with 10 men...not too sure about the second yellow for Valery but he needs to learn from his mistakes as he's not a youngster anymore. I think the team did ok, nice for Longy and Redmond to get a goal each...Stu Moj & Diallo got some good mins ... Adam A. is having a bit of a nightmare but I have a feeling he'll bang a few in the next games. Let's hope for a nice home draw ... COYR
  2. Sounds like our executive had the "luxury" to shop around for a new owner which seems relatively unusual and may be a great parting gift from our previous owner. Based on the past few years' communications and deeds, I strongly believe Semmens & co have the club's best interest at heart and the ability to take us forward. They would have been savvy to the pitfalls of potential new ownership and, by being afforded the opportunity to apply due care and diligence in the selection process, possibly found the best partners and owners. We may not see prompt direct first team player investment (don't think we'll buy ourselves into Europe) but we might now have the ability to attract exciting or retain established players. And if the new owners do focus on infrastructure (stadium upgrades sounds good to me) and long term investments (academy, women's team, multi-sport)... it would sound more than fair to me. Time will tell but the future does look brighter today. COYR
  3. I think having Stu A. available again means Ralf can play three in central midfield from which we can press and dominate. It frees up JWP and minimises side-way and back passes. The five at the back also worked pretty well until the sending off. Like most of us, I'm awe struck at Tino's start to the season but KWP is a great player, a real asset to the team and we need him in his natural position to influence games. Maybe Ralf will try both of them on the right in a cup game, see how it fares. FF and especially Valery did well today which is another positive. Adam A. worked hard for the team but he's not a wide player so unsure what we're going to do with him in the long run, his situation seems to parallel Shane Long who never was a real number 9. Longy gave us a more than an acceptable cameo. He's never been a great striker but what an honest, hard working player he's been since signing for us seven years ago. However we saw what a dominant forward can bring up the moment Broja came on. St Mary's was rocking... Draw was more than fair.... 3 points vs Newcastle and we can finally start looking up .... COYR
  4. Where do you want to invest in Jan? cheeky bid for Broja? They looked close to spent, we have game at the weekend and the other two strikers injured...
  5. Moj for Smallbone, but who else does he put for Broja or Tella - don't think he had much choice
  6. Motm -- salisu, reddy, willi?
  7. two great goals... feels like we were really lucky to have turned it around in that first half but I'll be positive and say that our players woke up and played as they should. COYS
  8. yellow, yellow
  9. Last two games have been more than frustrating... RH and the team owe us a blinder... so I'll take a mad 6-7 win with a Longy last minute 3 inch tap-in
  10. How fun it is to get excited about a really good saints half... now pls, pls, pls, same again in the next 45mins, pleaaseeee
  11. tough half.... really strange line up but no S. Armstrong or Moj, so maybe not much else he could put out.... I guess one of the strikers off and Diallo in We were always going to struggle
  12. wow, what rubbish...we were snail pace, no imagination, no heart, disinterested... Hope RH gets into them cause that's a crucial 3 points dropped... me not happy at all.
  13. Another win...GET IN !!!! tough game but what a goal and we were resolute to the end... COYR !!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Guly's back fit as well... he's due a screamer or two tonight 🙂
  15. We got to get Stu back on form... He is such an asset to the creativity of the team so I reckon he starts on the right instead of Mo (who's been pretty good) with Redmond on the left. I'd guess RH starts Che and A.Amstrong again... Broja is class though and comes in as the battering ram later on. Rest of the team is pretty much a given... Got a good feeling for tonight, two-nil With Tino MoTD 11th time in a row 🙂
  16. Yeah.... Nervy finish but we deserved it ... 🙂😇😇
  17. Really good half and what a goal by Che....but we should be 3 nil up... Hope we don't mess up the the second half... Keeping fingers crossed
  18. Come on boys.... Same intensity as vs Chelsea pls... COYR
  19. Such a pity... but pretty decent performance... Lyanco might be a real gem. Good that some of the boys not playing regularly had a tough outing... will help us in the league. Theo has nothing much to offer, really sad to see him play like that.
  20. Not bad first half but let down on the set piece. As long as we keep trying and give some of the boys that need it some game time, I think it will be a good evening irrespective of the result.... mind you I'm still hoping for a Che hat trick...
  21. Damn that was a frustrating last thirty mins... RH should have made changes earlier, Stu for Theo was so obvious (although Stu did look really rusty) The boys did ok before then and that goal from Broja was really beautiful. Hope we don't come to regret the two dropped points. Tino is a baller ...wow.

  23. ok Second half prediction... Moj and Broja goals... 3-1 ... COYR
  24. Sounded like a fun game - Lyanco a bit useless but let's hope RH works his magic Next round, man city away : we beat them 3 nil.... COYR
