  1. Thanks so much, you can e-mail me at david.kalan@gmail.com
  2. I'm a Saints fan in the States, so obviously it doesn't make sense to own a club membership or get season tickets, however, I will be in the UK visiting family next month and am planning on going to the West Brom match on April 8. I have a friend who usually helps me get tickets to away matches, but he is unable to do so this time around so... What are the chances any qualifying Saints ticket holders won't be going to the West Brom match and are willing to help me out? Looking for two tickets, obviously I will pay for them, just need somenoe who is willing to let me use their member ID code. I would be extremely grateful for any help. Thanks.
  3. According to West Brom's site, the Baggies are selling tickets for the April 8th game against Saints starting March 13th for General Sale. I don't see any word on Saints site regarding when tickets to the away section will be released and what the requirements are. Anyone have any idea on when that might come out?
  4. What's the normal away allocation at Old Trafford?
  5. Does anyone know when these tickets go on sale? I can't find any information about it on the Saints' website and the game is about a month away. Isn't there at least an announcement by now? Thanks.
  6. That's for every game or for every away seat at Old Trafford?
  7. Tickets for Southampton-ManU at Old Trafford in the away section aren't on sale yet, correct? Do we know what the pricing will be? Thanks.
  8. Ha, I'm not sure I even knew what Setanta was back in 2007. I did by 2012, though. I got to watch our promotion back to the Premier League live on a Saturday morning in bed in New York City. The best part was wearing my Saints shirt around town and being amazed at how many strangers stopped me to offer congratulations.
  9. It'll be fantastic. I just hope my adrenaline beats the jetlag. As for the result, this season has been a struggle at times, but I think the boys still have one or two surprises left up their sleeves.
  10. Someone was good enough to let me use their member numbers to snag a pair. I'll try to repay the favor if they ever come to the States to see the New York Mets. Can't wait to sit with the Saints fans in the away section. Last year I had to resort to buying general admission tickets to see the Saints at Loftus Road against QPR.
  11. I will indeed be at Emirates for the Arsenal match. Looking forward to a repeat of the 4-nil romp at St. Mary's. I was wondering if there was a Saints bar for the away fans somewhere in the near vicinity. Depending on how I'm feeling after my flight from New York gets in that morning I just may stop in for a few pints.
  12. To those of you with genuine responses, much obliged. To those of you who love mocking the sportsbally condominium-dwelling American, your condescension is delightful. That said, I've been following Southampton since the days of James Beattie and Claus Lundekvam. I listened to the 2003 FA Cup Final on internet radio when there was no TV coverage in the States. I watched Inigo Idiakez kick it over the bar in the 2007 championship play-offs on a play-by-play ticker on BBC Sports' website because you couldn't find a TV feed of it anywhere in the U.S. I now watch Southampton every week because of NBC's TV deal with the Premier League, I've been to St. Mary's and will go again and invest more than my fair share of time in the club. If you want to make yourself feel superior toward someone you've never met, go nuts, but let's see you all try to follow a team in the third division from halfway around the world in the mid-2000s when following the Premier League from outside Europe was a challenge. It's tricky, but it's rewarding, except, I suppose, when you run into "Fans" like these.
  13. Ha, sorry, "road" is what we call "away" shirts in the States. You'll have to forgive me.
  14. I was thinking of buying one of the current road shirts. Green and blue don't really seem like traditional Soton colors, but green does happen to be my favorite color, so why not. Only thing is, last year I bought one of the 2015 shirts only to find that they were reduced in price by 50% two weeks later because of the move to Adidas. Does anyone think it's likely the current road shirts will be reduced a month from now because they'll have a new design in 2016/17? Or are the road shirts unlikely to change (along with the price) in the near future.
  15. Is that right? Could you e-mail me directly at david.kalan@gmail.com? Thanks so much for your help.
  16. I'm trying to buy two tickets for the away section at Arsenal for Feb. 2, but I do not have a membership as I live in the States. According to the Saints' website you need to be a member and have attended three away games this season. Are there any members out there who meet those qualifications, but will NOT be attending the game that might be willing to let me use their membership number? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  17. I know tickets to this fixture aren't on sale yet, but I'm planning in advance since I'll be coming from the States for the game while staying with my sister in London. If I have an adult membership, will I be able to purchase Away tickets to this match when they go on sale through Saints or will I have to have attended multiple away matches already this season (This happened to me when I came over last year to see the Saints at QPR). If anyone has any guess or could guess based on what the policy has been for similar away matches this season your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  18. Thanks for the help. I will be sure to keep tabs on it. I'm considering buying Arsenal Memberships just to get access to tickets (desperate times call for desperate measures when you're flying from overseas), but that is, obviously, extremely expensive.
  19. I live in the States and am considering coming out to the UK in early February and would like to try and see Southampton at Arsenal on Feb. 2. Tickets for regular seating can be had (albeit expensively), but is it totally impossible to find two tickets for the away section? How hard would that be to do? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  20. Great. Are there any particular items that are considered contraband that I shouldn't have? Obviously alcohol or, like, knives, wouldn't be allowed in, but is there something I might not be thinking of?
  21. I'll be visiting Southampton from New York next week for the West Ham match and I've never been to St. Mary's before so I wasn't sure what the rules are regarding bags and security at the stadium (Southampton's website was of little help). In the States you can bring a messenger bag or a backpack to most baseball or hockey or basketball games, but there are zero bags beyond small pocketbooks allowed at NFL games. Am I going to be able to bring my messenger bag into St. Mary's or will I have to leave it at home? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  22. It's not Mega?! I'm American. I need everything mega. I don't eat burgers with fewer than six patties and I refuse to order beer less than 30 oz in size.
  23. I figure I won't be the only Saints fan sitting around in the sections beneath the away fans, but I guess I'll have to be delicate? It's crazy that stadiums will actually throw fans out for rooting for the other team. For an American where there's no such division in the stands this is pretty mind-boggling.
  24. Good to know. I think I had heard Legends was the place to watch in the city, but now that NBC broadcasts every game it's so cozy to watch in bed at 7:30 on a Saturday morning.... I actually watched the Sunderland match on my phone while I was volunteering in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. There wasn't a ton of volunteering that actually happened as a result.
