If the club manage to get him to sign a new contract i think it would make a good statement of intent, even if it goes against the clubs wishes, one player earning the sort of wage a player of his caliber should be earning to me would make a huge statement to the rest of the league. I personally cant see him signing a new deal if we dont make Champions league, but if we dont make Champions league then we must sell him abroad weather or not he wants to play at gunners or United, rather him left for barca for 1 million than him going to United for 50 million, plus the board can turn around after the sale and stick two fingers up at the top 6 and say they will not sell any more players to them. I know it dont make financial sense to take a lower fee, but if these top clubs stop unsettling are players any way then they would not want to move full stop, also it would be nice to build on the team than to keep replacing want away players year in year out, cause in due time we will not be able to find a decent replacement and it could be the reason we go from a top 10 club back down to fighting relegation or even worse we could end up back in the Championship with 99 % of the team wanting to leave for Premiership football instead. He is good at taking corners yes i agree, but its the same as with Prowse, no one got on the end of them, That is not Morgans fault that's the teams fault. 10 corners 0 goals. that is bad for a prem team. I believe they are, Dont matter how good the cross is if no body gets on the end of them, the way Prowse swings his corners in is the best we have and he is one of the best in the league, you cant blame Prowse for the team not scoring from them, that is every other players fault for not making the effort to get on the end of them. i think we might see Djuricic lining up behind Pelle with Mane and Elia on the wings, Cant see Davis being played behind Pelle as he don't have the creativity and JWP all though is a good player is he more suited to a deeper midfield role more like a box to box mid. Got to be able to pick out a killer pass if your playing behind the striker and we have 0 of them players, and i thought Ron brought in Djuricic to play in that role

@ Feyenoord1908 Castaignos had an illegal contract at Feyenoord. He signed a 3 + 2 year contract at Feyenoord when he was 16. At the end of the 3 years he could've gone for nothing because players before their 18th birthday are not allowed to sign a contract longer than 3 years. Inter agreed a compensation fee with Feyenoord and were very kind not to go to court to get him on a free (with lower compensation). Also is it no tradition to offer a new contract when the old one is near to finishing? after all i dont see many players in the world signing contracts for big bucks and then waiting till its over to sign a new one, every player in the world would play for Barca and Real madrid if that was the case........
