Bertrand got 4 from crosses into the box, JWP managed 3 off crosses and corners and free kicks in which he took the least out of all the players who took set plays for us last season. England scored most of the goals at world cups from crosses into the box and penalties, young assisted just one goal which was a nice corner into the box that was not floated. go watch the goal.

oh believe me I am not saying JWP is good, he is no star, but, as seen with England, if you have ppl in the box who can put the ball in the net off corners and free kicks goals are sure to follow if the person providing the crosses can put a decent ball in which on are team JWP is the only decent crosser of the ball. if you ask me out of every one on the Saints team who I would have taking free kicks and corners, it'll always be JWP and for this reason, he must be on the pitch as we have no fast players capable of beating the off side trap / making runs behind defensive having forwards / wingers who cant cross / finish with strikers who are not mobile and don't ever try to get between defenders ( but long who has more chance of hitting the corner flag from the spot than scoring goals )....., putting crosses into the box is the only thing you can do. all are recent good performances in the league came from being good at set plays / putting crosses into Pelle with Mane running behind defensive. we don't have any of that any more, why play a possession based game with players who cant beat any one is just stupidity. Better to play from set plays / out wide getting crosses into the only striker we got who can finish ( Austin ) but he is not going to be out pacing any one so why play threw balls? its a waste of possession, better to just put a decent ball in and try get on the end of it. a good team plays to its strength's a crap team just plays, we watched 2 seasons of crap trying to play a style that does not suit any one on the team but Tadic and we failed so badly it was embarrassing, and nearly got us relegated. a good manager see's what the team is good at, and builds around it. we are crap at dribbling, poor at finishing pretty decent at headers and have one of the best dead ball takers in the league and how do we play, by making threw balls to slow arse forwards who cant run from a fart and would probs be out paced by a turtle with 1 leg. Again before you or any one says it, JWP is not a very good attacking player, but what he can do, he does far better than any one else on the team, by quite a huge margin. Go back and watch the highlights from last season, we was most dangerous when putting crosses into the box, we wasted time / passed around the back line while trying to make the killer threw ball to one of the slowest front lines in the league.

for the mins he played yes, only Bertrand assisted more goals with over 2 x more mins and Tadic only scored more goals cause he was never dropped form the first team even though he played rubbish for 30 games of the 38 he played in the league. d? Up side, he scored the same as Armstrong even though Armstrong played in a mickey mouse league . but lets not get into that, are best crosser who played less mins than all of are top assists and scorers. If you are comparing like JWP scored and assisted 3 in 1.5 k mins...……..Tadic 3 assists and 6 goals in 3.5 k mins...…. but the latter here is a god to some of you yet 85 % of the season he didn't show up, but its ok cause its is Tadic. and yes JWP is are set piece taker, but seeing as he spent 60 % of all the premiership games on the bench, I would say his stats are pretty good, Tadic spent 98 % f all game time on the field yet failed to over shadow a player who hardly played It must be that Saints web bias thing? Was JWP not one of are leading goal scorers and creator last season despite playing less mins ( less than half ) than every one who out scored and out assisted him? baffling…… he is no world class player sure, but he does create and has started to score goals. The teams weakness is finishing, we are rubbish at it, don't matter what attacking players you put out if your strikers and Forwards all need a trillion chances to put one away eg Austin, Long, Gabbie, Tadic, Redmond and Boufal

striking a ball to perfection is an technical ability, its a rather rare one too with not many free kick specialists around. Some ppl go to world cups and become the greatest every players for there dead ball ability's. Think yo need to remember dribbling is not the only technical ability needed in football.

This is my point, well the one im trying to make, Every one says this excuse for Tadic " He has struggled the last two seasons, of course you can argue that he has been badly managed and his form in the last few games of the season would suggest that. " But don't apply it to JWP, how do we know how well JWP will play under a better manager? I mean the few times I seen him play under MH, he came on and he was pretty good, against man city he was are best midfield / forward player according to the ratings. Tadic on his day is miles better than JWP, but over the last two season, I dispute that he is better, and this season I would have had JWP on the pitch far more than I would have Tadic cause of his form and Tadic is meant to be at his peak age, he should be enjoying his best football for the last couple of season but has degraded, JWP on the other side is getting better and better, his development has slowed a bit, but how much of that is down to the managers? I thought JWP had a solid season by his standards and progressed on his previous season even though we had a bad manager, Tadic goes from a top top player putting in MOTM performances assisting and scoring good goals with brilliant pieces of magic, to a dismal season where he looked a shadow of his former self and over the last two seasons

its an official game, weather its for EPL 2 or EPL 1, its official counted by EPL website, you know the English FA? the main ppl of the competition?, its on the database for it on the EPL stats website, they count it, I took them stats off transfermarket.com which don't include all official games, just the prem games. Officially JWP has a goal pm of 0.21 % due to his extra 2 goals not included on the transfer market site but is on the official EPL site. Tadic only has a better GPG cause he scored more in the league. A players season total is taken from all official games, European, league or cup, don't matter, they all count to the final count, if its done in an official competition which the EPL 2 is.

I think I would rather some prospects at the club get given a go eg Sims, we don't have a bad team, just badly managed for 2 seasons, Tadic has shown this season and last that he isn't the man given how we set up to favour the forwards yet they played rubbish all season but last few games. Tadic is are best attacking player, but he is also the worst when he CBA which is a lot of the time. I think Sims will do a good job, but I got a funny feeling its gonna be Redmond / boufal fighting for left with JWP Redmond and Boufal ( Unless he leaves ofc ) fighting for right wing too. might get a player in, but I don't think he will be first choice player, more like a prospect which will annoy me as I think Sims deserves a chance.

This, JWP is no star player, no one says he is. I see him to often to for my own liking, and he does get on my tits, But he is a bloody good player, he wont win head lines unless he scores a free kick, his assists go unnoticed but by Commentators who question why he don't start regular for us, he knows how to do a job defensively and offensively, has the ability to put a ball onto some ones head from over 50 yards away, can do pin point long range passing, always looks to release runners when they make runs, puts in one of the best corners and free kick's in the league, never gives up or gives half arsed performances even if he is playing bad he still trys his best, if he loses the ball hell chase it back down, with die for the club, yet is not worthy and is not even good enough for the champion ship. Ppl wonder why clubs don't put bids in for JWP, do you not think that he has rebuffed them before they even reach the board room? I mean if clubs say look TSG, get us JWP man, we really want him, and they say Na mate, he loves SFC and does not want to leave, not even for huge huge money, why would clubs try and buy a player who has 0 interest in leaving?? JWP not talented, 4 assists last season 5 goals played less than half mins Tadic did, played wide right when played and managed over half of Tadics just short of 3 thousand mins he managed to score just 2 more goals than JWP 2 goals, but JWP set up more goals than Tadic to but had less than half the mins tadic did. You sure your not confused? I mean JWP is no runner with the ball, he wont take ppl on, but to say he is journeyman is ridicules. JWP 1717 min played in 31 apps, scored 5 goals 4 assists. Tadic 2896 mins played 41 apps, 7 goals 3 assists. Tadic better? you sure? JWP averages more goals and assists per game than Tadic does, Some talent Tadic is.....

I know, im struggling to think of how we are going to replace a man who got 7 goals and 3 assists for us, man that's going be a challenge and a half.....

He don't play in mid field, he is an inside forward and has played as one for us since he arrived...…….. but in his first two seasons he was good, no one doubts that....but how much of that was down to other players around him? I mean we had Mane, Pelle Morgan, Big Vic we had by far a top 6 team when he had them 2 good season, since then he has done nothing that says he is a top player, not the one who we signed any way.

He did under MP and RK and was in his best form during his time too and was clearly a lot younger and behind in the pecking order as the players he was fighting against for places now play at champions league cup finalists while Tadic is to join big power house like Ajax who are now an EU youth development team. Really...… Like its bad Tadic and Redmond never got dropped when every body even fans at the stadium moaned and groaned about team selections, but its ok, ppl only remember the last 3 games that Tadic did when he put a tiny bit of effort in, rest of the season he is all forgiven for..... No remembers when JWP come off bench replacing tadic setting up a goal and scoring. Or coming of the bench and setting up 2 goals while Redmond and tadic had a hole game and failed to even create 1 clear chance, ppl only remember the last 3 games where Tadic all on his own ( ofc no other players played just Tadic ) that's all ppl remember. but having been to pretty much 99 % of games at home and away last season ( only 6 games I didn't attend, I can tell you know, Tadic was rubbish for 90 % of the season and last, And we looked better every time JWP was on the pitch.

Tadic is bad, he misses far more than he score's, he messes up more crosses / through balls than most the team, losses possession the most, crys like a baby the most when a gust of winds flicks his hair, moans at other players the most even though he is the one that messes up the most, slows play down the most, never makes the obvious pass or the simple option instead has to do a thousand boring step overs then lose possession..... JWP has better pass %, better long range pass %, better cross completion %, better shot on target ratio, loses possession the least of all are mids.…….. has the best set piece in the team and is the best English free taker as shown by the dross that are currently doing it for England at Russia!!, but its ok, keep slagging the dude, every one knows he is no Ronaldo or Xavi, no one says he is, but he is a better consistent player than the crap that's leaving for 15 million, what a cheap price for some one you all think is SO GOD DAM GOOD!!!!! ) performs better over the season. Bet you JWP wont leave for rubbish transfer fee like the one Tadic is going to leave for. Just wanted to add, that on his day Tadic is good, much better than any one else in team at creating chances, problem is, these good and bad performances are to far apart and we have had / get more bad than good which shows in his amazing statistics for us last season and season before.

But yet had less game time than Jack Wilshire and out scored and assisted more than him to but you lot want him? You don't make sense, JWP does his job, thing is, we don't play to his strength's. for some one who played in the same crap team with same crap managers with half the game time as super man tadic, JWP is fairly level on goals and assists with him..... he cant be a great player if he is struggle to out perform JWP by a huge margin...………………. If JWP had same mins as Tadic would he have assisted and scored more goals? hard to say, but going by his season stats he would have 4 more goals and 3 more assists which would put him level on tadic with goals but assisted more.. see how stats are good? I mean super tadic with just under 4 x more play time than crappy none league JWP couldn't destroy him on assist and goals... maybe your being a bit to harsh on JWP whilst letting the awefullness of tadic slip by cause of his random magical moments which is bound to happen when you NEVER get dropped.

He his one of the worst crossers in are team, you sure you have been watching the same Tadic every one else has?. now if you said Bertrand and JWP I would have believed you, but apart from them two players I don't think we have any other competent players able to cross the ball LOL. But ill be unhappy he is leaving for such a little fee, but not overall sad he is going, maybe will find a forward able to produce more consistently

But you cant compare an advanced playmaker like Wilshire to a DM in Hojberg and Davis and a RM / central mid in JWP, but if we are comparing, ill wager JWP scores more goals and spends far less time on the medical bench than Wilshire will next season... 0 goals scored last season. 15 In his entire time at gunners and you think he is better than what we already have? i reckon JWP will have a lot more than 15 when he is 26 years old....

He don't have a very good record for some one in such a high profile club, with the players he has had around him, he should have far more assists and goals.... he only has 3 more goals than JWP...……. and he is far older injury prone, just wouldn't be worth it

Tadic is not a 10, he is an inside forward, plays wide cuts inside.. which is why he likes to play on right even though he is left footed
