JWP 20 key passes, 1 2nd assist 300 mins played 17 corners taken. Redmond 22 key passes 1 2nd assist, created 0 chances from 10 corners 1333 mins played. And Redmond is more creative Numptys.

You cant use that argument as Redmond has taken majority of all free kicks in advanced positions and corners this season. Ohh 3 of JWP 5 today was in open play, Just saying... Redmond managed a huge 0 only player in midfield with that amount too I might add.

Oh right ok fair enough, so lets just use the last 3 games then even though JWP has only appeared once in the last 3 games ( against Spurs )...…. JWP 5 key passes, JWP 90 mins. Redmond 6 key passes, Redmond 270 mins, This is just the stats for 1 game for JWP against spurs today, A far better team than United and Fulham. So, As you said, if JWP come in and created 3 chances in a game, he would be respected as playing well yeah? as Redmond managed 6 over 2 games and JWP managed 5 in 1 game against a far better team, I guess we can agree that JWP is in fact rather creative and makes a lot of chances for other member's of the team whilst his contribution goes unnoticed by many. just for giggles Lets add JWP only other 2 starts for the season in the league to bring him level on mins with Redmond on 270 mins, 3 key passes vs City, + 5 key passes v Everton, gives JWP a total of 13 key passes. now lets not forget Redmond has now played all 15 matches in the league playing every min so far so is 100 % match fit, while JWP is probably not even close to full match fitness yet. For the season so far, Its Redmond winning on 22 key passes for the season, JWP is rather close behind on 20 key passes. Redmond has had 1333 mins in 15 apps JWP has had 289 mins total 3 starts 3 subs...….. Work it out. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/105172/Show/James-Ward-Prowse https://www.whoscored.com/Players/86425/Show/Nathan-Redmond
  4. We matched them in the first half and played the better stuff 2nd half. hit the woodwork 3 times, we more than deserved a point and played very well all game apart from the poor defending.
  5. Good game, a lot of chances created, poor defending as normal, we had the more chances with JWP creating the most on the pitch...…… WOW for such a crap player he creates a lot of chances...… Spurs just took the chances they had and we hit the woodwork 3 times...…. Not happy with the defeat, but was happy with the overall performance

JWP has a far better chances per 90 min than Redmond, I have had this discussion before in the JWP topic. Just for the record though, This season JWP has 4.1 per 90 min Redmond 1.2 ( not including Sub apps which is only fair as Redmond has started every game so far while JWP just 2.and Obi 2.0 per 90 min. If JWP had played in every game so far this season, I reckon he would have at least 1 assist to his name by now, Redmond and JWP are both drawing on 2nd assists at 1 a piece but 1 player has had 14 games to get that 1 while the other has had 2 and just to put some prospective on that for you, Redmond has had 1243 mins JWP 199 mins. if JWP come into the team and started playing like Redmond with the rest of his own ability's on top of Redmonds ………. only in a fantasy world......
  7. I do know Tadic missed more pens than JWP :-p lol
  8. don't know m8.

Funny enough, we are yet to play away at Brighton in the EPL, in the cup yes, but I did stat the post before in the EPL only, I know that is hard for some to grasp, so ill repeat, 0 assists 0 goals in the EPL.
  10. ???
  11. Tadic 9626 mins - 21 goals - 30 assists. JWP 6607 mins - 10 goals - 21 Assists.
  12. Hard to do any thing from the bench, but as we on the subject not including most now no longer with the team but local hero Tadic, this is what JWP has compared to others, Ready? Since 2016 - 2017 season ( EPL only not including cups ) we have Redmond's 8 goals 4 assists 6093 mins Austin 13 goals 0 assists 2495 mins Gabbie 9 goals 0 assists 2186 mins JWP 7 goals 7 assists 3797 mins Long 5 goals 1 assists 3285 mins Tadic 9 goals 8 assists mins? lots as he played every game all game pretty much. ( but I didn't check welcome too at https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk I gave up after doing those ones above. ) Bertrand 3 goals 8 assists Davis 3 goals 3 assists Lamina 1 goals 2 assists Ings 4 goals 1 assists Armstrong 3 goals 0 assists Hoj 2 goals 0 assists Cedric 3 goals 7 assists I think your all way to harsh on JWP.

Really? Redmond has taken around 60 % of all free kicks and corners, JWP has taken about 0.01 % Bertand 30 %, Cedric + Hoj 9.99 %. Remind me the last time we scored form a corner? Was it not at Everton? Thought so.

If you say so. 0 assists and counting Ill come back when he FINALY makes it to 1.

What is so dangerous about a dude that can run and dribble but cant do nothing else? you can give Redmond time and space cause he is going to do f all with it, you give any player with a decent end product time and space and you will get punished for it. take them dam rose tinted glasses off.

is it? I watch Shane long, I expect 0 assists and 0 goals, I do expect him to work hard, and run about and mess up every thing else. Sounds just like Redmond no? unless you have some stats to say he has in fact contributed some thin got the EPL season so far? Does he run around a lot? Yes Does he score goals? No Does he assist goals? No

I don't love JWP, I just stat the fact he has far more End product in his toe than Redmond does altogether, nothing to be shamed off, JWP may be slow as hell, But he has still got more assists and goals for Saints in the last 3 seasons than your bum chum Redmond has and yet never god dam plays, Even Obi has done more in the league than Redmond and he has not even had 90 mins yet. I don't care what player it is, I will ALWAYS rather a youth product weather good enough or not be starting ahead of brought player's who play for the wage packet than the badge on his shirt.

    Nathan Redmond

So Redmond created the assist not Obi? you need to stop taking drugs mate. Obi made the final pass, he did the hard work found the space in a tight spot surrounded by united players and laid a ball off that some one managed to get on the end off.. Redmond played well, ran around the pitch very very well indeed. was almost like I was watching Shane Long. 14 starts 0 assists 0 goals, End of the day, that is all that matters.

Nathen Redmond 0 assists. Michael Obafemi 1. LOL
  21. He was only 18 when we had Poch, 19 when we had Koeman ( and he had arguably a top 6 side at this point too but still got a decent amount of mins with a goal and 8 assists at 19 years old and was 2nd most creative mid for us this season too in all comps even had more assists than Mane!), played a quite a few games under Puel and was are best assisting mid and 3rd on goals scored for this season, same with MP2, only thing he has had that's been consistent is that others who are performing worse are getting more mins while he does not. 14 goals 29 assists so far for us and has never been a first team starter has more mins from the bench and more apps from the bench than starts yet beats every one in the team on goals and assists ( but Tadic ) since Koeman left and was 2nd most creative player when Koeman was here in his first season and 3rd in Koemans 2nd. look at the players he has had to fight positions with and look at how well he has done during these times, He should be starting for us. how is he ever going to prove peeps wrong if he never plays consistently and never has, yet performed well every season since he had his first game under Poch.
  22. I have never seen enough of him to ever say how good he is / going to be, every one on the team plays ahead to apparently offer us pace and dribbling ability to cause problems for defenders and score and create goals that we are still yet to see after 2 seasons + 10 games of trying to play with dedicated wingers. Before Puel can you even say any of the current team would have got any mins let alone game time with Mana, Tadic at his best, Pelle would not have got dropped for Ings, Lallana, Morgan, Wanyama. no way any one on the current team starts ahead of the team Koeman had. but yet he still managed to play a decent amount of games, got a goal in the league, and 6 assists, as a 19 year old, pretty good if you ask me, his following season was better, and the season after and after, only thing that has changed, is that he creates more and scores more goals each season, but is apparently not good enough to replace are wingers who have not done any thing of note as of yet and one has had 3 seasons and been beaten performance wise by JWP every time with 3 times the apps and mins as JWP, JWP has far more quality about his overall play than both Moi and Redmond even if he lacks the ability to dribble and lacks a bit of pace and I still cant believe people think this is mandatory for a player whos game does not evolve around running past people and taking players on. Never seen MLT getting stick cause he didn't have pace, getting him to run at all was an issue and yet here we are when he is retired still remembering the days we had the greatest footballer ever at Saints who probs never even tried to run in his life while playing football and this is a player who played every attacking position for us and is a legend. ( I do admit MLT was an amazing dribbler some times, but most of the time it was his passing and shooting ) I am not sure about every one else, but I am sick of watching this none scoring amazing wingers we have run up and down doing bugger all. it has done nothing for us for 2 seasons, we have learnt nothing since as we are still trying to score goals the same way and wonder why we cant score. He is no star player, agreed, but his passing and deliveries are miles better than what we are currently seeing game after game from are wingers.
  23. Believe in list Redmond - just wish he would be played a lot more attacking like in a inside forward role, but we need to change to a 433 for that, think he will do better being on the last defender a lot more than having to try be the creative spark on the team. HOJ - I like this dude have done since he joined, gives 110 % and is pretty good player too who Is getting better and better. Ings - think he is good, just needs better service. Stephens - is getting better the more he plays. Targett and Bertrand - defo one for the future will see him keeping Bertrand out the team soon if Bertrand don't start playing better than he already is and we know he can play better too. JWP - now here I am not sure, I have seen him play, I like what he adds, what I don't know is how he will do over the duration of a full season, when he plays a handful of games in a row he looks like a solid player and was one of are better players over the last 2 seasons when he played, nothing spectacular about his game, but does all the basics right and has a great ability to read a game and organize the midfield and good vision, hardly every misplaces a pass, has only been caught in possession a few times that I can remember and that's amazing seeing how long he has been in the first team, adds a solid dead ball, which we are awful at when he is not on the team and think he in addition to HOJ and Lemina would be a solid mid 3 for the team in a 433. that is MY OPINION though, I respect those who disagree, but you wont change my mind on the fact i feel JWP is under used under rated and not given enough credit when he does play, should be Captain and starting every week imho. Both Goalkeepers. Lamina, this dude is a beast, just wish he would be more consistent and much better concentration and he will be a great player. be gone list - Long, Austin, Davis, Foster as we have 2 better keepers. Rest of them are still pretty decent players and should in no way be fighting for relegation imho, we should be a solid 13th - 6th team always fighting for best of the rest places out side the normal top 6 teams I have 0 faith in the manager, some of the coaches, and members of the board. All my own opinion
  24. JWP made the only clear cut chance of the game that Stephens really should have put in the back of the net for the win, and he was only on 20 mins!! not to mention putting a 40 yard pass to Cedric who set up Long who like always screwed it up. his first couple of corners can be forgiven seeing as his first corner was his first proper touch of the ball apart from his sliding challenge in the first 20 secs of coming on.
  25. Poor game, very bad game, we controlled it yes, but like pretty much every other game, no end product, best chance of the game came from a player who cant be named for Cabbage face reasons, and another who now tops the charts on most shots with out a goal or hitting the target in the league, hats to off to him too, some record that, Mo was disappointing again, why do we keep playing 2 striker when only 1 is any good is beyond me, back line played well not that they had much to do as Newcastle was happy with a draw, Romeu and Lemina played well. JWP came on for his 10 - 20 min cameo and had a hand In the nice 50 yard pass to Cedric who then put it on a plate for long to miss, also put in a wonderful free kick form around 40 yards that Stephens was inches away from sticking in the back of the net, his first 2 corners was not very good, btu I guess he can be excused having just come on the pitch. After being on Itsbeautifuloutside forum too, I agree with this dude Patred """"FANTASTIC the stream on Saintsplayer, that is. The football was predictable from the two worse teams in the PL. Austins annual shoulder injury was his only contrbution. He'll be off till Xmas now. But our partime Santa is more of an authority on toys than me. Long Tis been a long time since Long has scored, a long long time...The commentator was right, Hughes would have done better to bring on our 'record signing defender' Vestagarrd and launched high balls up to him instead of trying to score through Long.
